Takahiro Nishijima and Shinjiro Atae of pop group AAA star in this early-evening drama series. Delicious Gakuin is a school started by a principal aiming to create the greatest chefs in the world. For that purpose, he forcibly enrolls students into the school. They have only one hope for escape: winning in a "delicious bout!"

With her talent to judge people by their voices, she begins participating in "terekura" (telephone-based dating) to improve her understanding of people. One day, a man notices her and recruits her to solve a case. Along the way, she runs into robot otaku Iichiro Sudo (Kenichi Matsuyama), one of her previous clients. They end up teaming together to take on various missions, under the names of "Sexy Voice" and "Robo."

Tsukaji no Muga (つかじの無我～１２人の証言者～)

Muga Tsukaji plays a nonfiction writer who loses a year worth of memories while researching a murder case. All he has left are his notes as he tries to piece together the entire mystery. What makes the drama more interesting is that the whole series is unscripted - Tsukaji and the rest of the cast will improvise as it goes along. Each episode will also feature a different guest actor, who remains unknown to Tsukaji until the actual filming.

Keishichou Sousa Ikka 9 Gakari 2 (警視庁捜査一課９係)

Bambino! (バンビーノ!)

Shogo has to overcome many trials in order to succeed in his dream. In order to play the part, Matsumoto has received special lessons in cooking and in the Italian language.

Fufudo (夫婦道)

Hotelier (ホテリアー)

Kodoku no Kake (孤独の賭け～愛しき人よ～)

One night, by chance, he encounters a fashion designer named Momoko (Kyoko Hasegawa), whose company is on the verge of bankruptcy. She proposes a deal, offering her own body as collateral to borrow 20 million yen. And thus, the "wager" is made...

Maki Horikita co-stars as a second-year student who has been delayed by three years due to an illness.

Tokkyu Tanaka 3 Go (特急田中３号)

He stars as Ichiro Tanaka, a newly matriculated student at Sangyo Ryutsu Daigaku, abbreviated as "Sanryudai" (third-rate university). His dream is to meet his own "personal heroine," and he thinks that Terumi Meguro (Chiaki Kuriyama) may be the one. But in his pursuit of love, a series of events leads him into the world of "tetsu," otherwise known as railroads. With no knowledge of the subject, he ends up involved in a railroad club with data maniac Kei Hanagata (Takashi Tsukamoto) and the eighth-year student Seishi Momoyama (Ryuji Akiyama).

An expert swindler named Shinichi Akiyama (Shota Matsuda) is her only hope for making it through the game and avoiding enormous debt.

Yukipon no Oshigoto (ユキポンのお仕事)

Dondo Hare (どんど晴れ)
NHK, Monday-Saturday 8:15am, premieres April 2
"Dondo Hare" is the 76th NHK Asadora. The heroine of the story is Natsumi Asakura (Manami Higa), an assistant at her parents' cake shop in her hometown of Yokohama. She gets engaged to Masaki Kagami (Asahi Uchida), whose parents run a famous ryokan in Iwate. As a result, Natsumi is forced to adjust to a new way of life.

Uruwashiki Oni (麗わしき鬼)

Sayaka Kaneko and Nagiko Tono star in this serious daytime drama, written by Takehiro Nakajima. Two girls become friends, unaware that they have the same father. The series deals with complicated modern issues, such as rape, domestic violence, and homosexuality.

Sunadokei (砂時計)

"Sunadokei" (which recently started on March 12) is based on the manga of the same name by Hinako Ashihara. It revolves around the life of a girl named An Uekusa, who lives with her mother after her parents divorce. The drama spans three periods of An's life, ranging from grade school to adulthood.

Danryu (暖流)
TBS, Weekdays 1:30pm, premieres April 16
The original "Danryu" was written by Kunio Kishida in 1938. It was adapted to film and television several times, the last one being in 1976. The story is a romance set in a university hospital. Keiko Shima (Yasue Sato) is the daughter of the hospital's director (Masaomi Kondo), and she sets out to rebuild the institution. She finds herself squaring off against the lawyer Hibiki (Jundai Yamada), whom she gradually falls in love with.

Shin Machiben (新マチベン)

In a third segment, "Kaisou Densha," Fumiyo Kohinata plays the lead.

This drama special is based on a manga by Misao Kataoka, and centers on the office ladies working at a construction company. Nao Matsushita plays the lead role. The special will be shown in five parts on consecutive nights.

Vengeance is Mine (復讐するは我にあり)

Toshiro Yanagiba stars in this adaptation of Ryuzo Saki's Naoki Prize-winning novel "Vengeance Is Mine." The work was further popularized by director Shohei Imamura's film version in 1979. The original story is based on the real-life serial killer Iwao Enokizu, who became the target of a nationwide manhunt at the end of 1963.

Kuu Neru Tokoro Sumu Tokoro (くうねるところすむところ～恋するニッカボッカ・ガール)

1 Litre of Tears SP (１リットルの涙ＳＰ)

In 2005, Fuji TV broadcast the popular "1 Litre of Tears" drama series, based on the true story of Aya Kito, a girl who was diagnosed with spinocerebellar degeneration at the age of 15 and died at the age of 25. This special is set half a year after the death of Aya (Erika Sawajiri). Her younger sister Ako (Riko Narumi) is training to be a nurse, while Haruto (Ryo Nishikido) has already become a neurologist at the hospital Aya was once treated at. The loss of Aya strongly affects Haruto, causing him to lose sight of himself. But after he meets Mizuki (Anri Okamoto), a 14-year-old patient who has given up on living, he feels compelled to share with her the story of Aya's life.

Ousama no Shinzou ~King Lear Yori~ (王様の心臓～リア王より～)
NTV, broadcasts April 6 @ 9:00pm
In this first part of NTV "Shakespeare Series," the story of King Lear is transformed into a home drama. The role of Lear becomes that of a supermarket manager (Toshiyuki Nishida) while Mao Inoue plays his youngest daughter, the equivalent of Cordelia.

A forbidden love develops between the two after the man's father (Shinji Yamashita) becomes a murder suspect.

This is Kindaichi Kousuke SP series' 4th installment.

For those who don't know, Kindaichi Kousuke novel series was written in the 1940s, and had always been the most popular detective series in Japan. In the 1990s, some manga authors created a new character related to Kindaichi Kousuke, Kindaichi Hajime, his grandson, and made his adventure stories to a manga series. Later, what we all know adapted to dorama series, acted in turns by KinKi Kids' Tsuyoshi Dohmoto (1995 and 1996 series), ARASHI's Jun Matsumoto (2001 series) and KAT-TUN's Kazuya Kamenashi (2005 SP).

The Kindaichi that Goro Inagaki has acted since 2004 is Hajime's grandfather, Kindaichi Kousuke.

The first installment was "Inugami-ke no Ichizoku" (The Inugami Clan) in April 2004. Co-starring Ai Kato and Hidetoshi Nishijima.

The second installment was "Yatsuhaka Mura" (The Eight Tomb Village) in October 2004. Co-starring Tatsuya Fujiwara.

The third installment was "Jooubachi (Queen Bee) in January 2006. Co-starring Chiaki Kuriyama and Mitsuhiro Oikawa.

Inagaki said that these Kindaichi Kousuke SP series production has always been made in a large scale and very detailed, with a big budget, but for this fourth installment, it must be the largest production among other installments, with the biggest budget too.

NTV aired "Saigo no Nightingale" (Aug. 22, 9 p.m.) based on the life of a fictional young midwife and substitute teacher, Michiko (Kyoko Hasegawa), and her female students, who were forced to serve as war nurses in Okinawa Prefecture.

The prefecture was the only place in the nation where there were ground battles during the Showa War. It is said that more than 2,000 local minors of both sexes were dispatched to the battlefields in the prefecture and that more than 1,000 of them died.

The Saigo no Nightingale project was initiated by scriptwriter Kazuhiko Yukawa, known for his war drama Satokibi Batake no Uta, which aired on the network in 2003. It also featured the battles on the islands in the prefecture.

This time, Yukawa tried to depict not only the tragedies local people suffered but also the joy of living, as symbolized in a scene of the birth of a baby Michiko helps deliver, he said.

Atsushi Sato, producer of the drama, said he supposed that many people think of a war monument called Himeyuri no To in the prefecture whenever they hear about schoolgirl nurses during the war. The monument was established in memory of the deaths of members of a student nurse corps called Himeyuri Gakutotai.

F4 Arrive in Japan to Promote Taiwan Tourism

Taiwan boy band F4 arrived in Japan on Tuesday to promote Taiwan tourism.

F4 is scheduled to attend "SMAP SMAP", a reality show hosted by top Japanese pop group SMAP during their visit in Japan.

F4 debuted as actors in the Taiwan version of "Meteor Garden," which originated from a popular Japanese anime. The Japanese version of "Meteor Garden" is now broadcasting in Japan and tops audience ratings. Fans hope the actors of the two versions will get together to meet fans.

Taiwan's tourism authorities invited F4 to be spokesmen for Taiwan tourism and they plan to visit South Korea on March 11.

Because F4 is highly famous, even Takuya Kimura thought of becoming "F5!" Last night, F4 was invited to guest in SMAP's own variety show "SMAP X SMAP" where two of the biggest kings of Taiwan and Japan finally met. Jerry and Takuya exchanged admirations to each other, and Takuya even personally planned the episode to welcome their special guests.

SMAP X SMAP is shown in Fuji Channel, and has remained its high ratings over the years. Normally, hey would treat their foreign guests at theis "BISTRO SMAP Celebrity Nook" However, because they felt F4 deserved a special treatment, Takuya didnt only transformed himself as F5 but also came up with a short "Meteor Garden" skit, parlor game ans some few interviews. The whole program was taped from 4 to 11 pm. However, captain Masahiro Nakai and Goro Inagaki was absent last night due to other commitments.

Their manager revealed that Takuya really admires F4. He then thought that they could work together and Jerry really wants to see Takuya perform. In his admiration for Takuya, he said, " He is much good-looking in TV than I am. He is really a dream man by women, " making Takuya continuously flattered. In the "Meteor Garden" skit, Takuya and Kimura played Dao Ming Si together, and must choose to wear one of the two Shan Cai's Checkered skirts of Shingo Katori. However, Shingo warned both of them. For tarnishing his image for this short play, Jerry said, "No problem, I just thought it's funny."
