Second child for Matsushima, Sorimachi

On Tuesday, actress Nanako Matsushima announced that she is currently pregnant with her second child. Her due date is in December. She plans to continue working while she monitors her health.

Matsushima has been married to actor Takashi Sorimachi since 2001. In 2004, she gave birth to their first child, a girl.

TAKUYA Kimura is the most famous Japanese in Japan, according to Flash magazine




It has compiled a list of the top 10 most famous people in Japan, taking into consideration the frequency of Google searches and media exposure from July last year to June this year, among other factors.

Takuya, 35, is followed by veteran actor Takeshi Kitano and baseball star Ichiro Suzuki.

Also making the list are Takuya's two buddies from boy band Smap - Shingo Katori at No 7 and Masahiro Nakai, No 10.

At ninth, is actress Masami Nagasawa, the only woman on the list.

Meanwhile, J-pop singer Hitomi Yaida got married on her 29th birthday last Saturday.

Following up on its research about summer fashion, Oricon conducted a survey to see which celebrity hairstyles people want to copy this summer.



Among women, the number one answer was Maki Horikita, who has adopted a short, boyish look for her role in the "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e" drama series. Second choice was Kumi Koda, followed by Yuri Ebihara, Masami Nagasawa, and Namie Amuro.

Oricon has published the results of another summer-related survey. 2,000 men and women were asked to name the celebrities they felt were well-suited for a tanned look.

The #1 female was pro beach volleyball player Miwa Asao. Not far behind were Kumi Koda and Chinatsu Wakatsuki. The rest of the list: Namie Amuro, Tomoko Nakajima, Rikako Murakami, Yukie Nakama, Galsone, Yu Yamada, and Saki Aibu. The selection of Nakama is the most surprising, as the actress has rarely been seen with a tan.

In a recent article of “WAI WAI” translated from Josei Jishin, it appears that rumors of Hirosue Ryoko’s split from husband may not be true at all.

According to the article, “Rumors that Ryoko Hirosue’s rocky marriage to model-designer Takahiro Hirosawa is finally over have been firmly quashed following a lovey-dovey night out with the family to mark the actress’s 27th birthday recently, according to Josei Jishin (8/7).”

10. Toda Erika - Not a surprised, even I like her! With her recent dramas that usually getting ratings around 15, really boost her popularity. I personally thought her story was much better than Ayase Haruka in Tatta Hitotsu no Koi. She was also in one of the most anticipated manga to liveaction movie, Death Note, as Misa. And with her newest drama, Liar Game, which she will be leading, Toda Erika is getting more and more attentions.

9. Aragaki Yui - Or Gakki to the fans. Her popularity rose after My Boss My Hero as the goddess of purity and innocent. She's also in a few Pocky cm. I also like her, especially in My Boss My Hero.

8. Kashii Yu - Despite playing older roles, she is still very young (she's even younger than me =_=;;), and she excels in all. I think she's usually acts in movie. I first know her in Waterboys drama, then SP, then My Boss My Hero. I really like her in Linda Linda Linda, right after Son of course. By the way, Linda Linda Linda was great. Everyone should go out and watch it.

7. Eikura Nana - Seriously, who is she? This is my first time seeing her name, she's ranked so high. :x Okei, after googled her name, she's that annoying girl that is the main lead in Dandori (about Cheerleader). *shocked* The drama sucks. How did she ranked so hight? o_O;;

5. Ishihara Satomi - Well liked and cute Satomi-chan, who won everyone over in many of her roles. Let me plugs again that her newest drama, Hanayome to Papa, is coming up in just a few days. Watch it everyone. Satomi is also well known for her luscious lips and full body. We haven't yet see her in a swimming suit, which suit me just fine. I'm really happy for her that she's in the top 5. Awesome. Congrats Satomi-chan.

4. Horikita Maki - The cute sister from Densha Otoko and the gloomy Nobuta from Nobuta wo Produce, which she gain her popularity from. I didn't know she was also in a lot of movie as well. She had talents, but I wished she played happier roles. After Nobuta wo Produce, the image of Nobuta can't seems to leave her. :x

3. Ueno Juri - Also is extremely talented. She's Nodame in Nodame Cantabile, which really boost her popularity. She's also great in Swing Girls (and a boy XD;;). By the way, everyone need to watch Swing Girls. :x

2. Nagasawa Masami - I wasn't aware that Masami was this popular. I had watch a few of her dramas, but none of her roles actually struck me. So to see her so high in the list, I was really surprise. :x Anyways, I bet everyone'd heard of the rumors about the competition between Masami and Erika right? Well, I guess this time she lost to...

1. Sawajiri Erika - The girls with the hates and rumors. She gains famed after 1 Litre of Tears as Aya, the girl who suffered a disease and later died (oops did I just gave those who had never watch it before spoilers? ). Sawajiri Erika then later film Taiyou no Uta, also a girl with a disease, and release her first single with the name Amane Kaoru (her character). I thougth 1 Litre of Tears was great, but Taiyou no Uta felt like it's missing something. The Taiyou no Uta movie with YUI was much much much better. She is no doubt, a great actress, but really, not my favorite. Sorry.

I was actually really surprised that Aya Ueto is not on the list since she was so famous. But it actually turned out that Aya Ueto is on the U25 ranking 3rd. :x I don't really like her, except in Kinpachi Sensei 6th season, and Azumi, where we didn't have to see her smile. :x

The infamous Sawajiri-kai has been dissolved! And on SawaEri's birthday no less!

Quittin', Clubin', and...Sawajiri Erika again?

Arashi's Sakurai Sho has apparently joined the MEN'S DIVISION of Sawajiri Erika's celebrity bitch pack! Sources also claim that Nishikido Ryo has put in a "membership request." ROFL ROFL ROFL Men's Division of SawaEri-kan can I be real here. This is as probable as me getting my hands on one of those purple bustier dresses Proenza Schouler made for Target that sold out in 2 seconds.
The "men's division" of the Sawajiri-kai contains "K.T., I.H. and I.Y." Who the #### are they?! This is why I hate Gekkan Josei; I can make speculations but I don't know if I'm right. I'm going to venture a guess that I.H. is Ito Hideaki but why would he even want to be hanging out with Horikita Maki calling SawaEri "Erika-sama"? And Sakurai Sho really? Nishikido I could totally see doing this because rumor has it he has the hots for a certain hapa gravure idol "R.D." who apparently is friends/a crony of SawaEri. If any of y'all love beating off to swimsuit clad girls and are an expert in the field, please enlighten

Sawajiri Erika vs Nagasawa

So Valentines Day in Japan is Serious Business considering the fact that Japanese people love buying and giving shit (speaking of which, I need to start stocking up on omiyage before I leave). Two big candy companies, Lotte and Meiji are going head to head this season with chocolate ads. Lotte is pushing Ghana Milk Chocolate with Nagasawa as the 'mascot' girl and their rival, Meiji has promptly enlisted Sawajiri.
That's all fine and dandy except for one thing: Sawajiri and Nagasawa apparently hate the shit out of each other.

The feud all started at the end of last year during the Woman of the Year awards held by Vogue Nippon when Nagasawa reportedly gave Sawajiri a dirty look. We've already talked about Sawajiri being a bitch but apparently Nagasawa is also a diva, barking to her manager to shut off the airconditioning because she's cold backstage at 24 hour TV before even acknowledging her elder cohosts and never saying any formalities to anyone.

What's even better about this rivalry is that they both supposedly have their own little group of cronies. The Sawajiri Faction's (Sawajiri-kai) members purportedly have to call her 'Erika-sama."
"There are actresses older than Sawajiri in her faction but she pays no formalities with them." - Josei Seven
"It's said that the members of the Sawajiri Faction are largely from Nisshutsu Academy where she dropped out from. The members include Ueno Juri, Horikita Maki, Kashii Yu, Nakagawa Shoko, and possibly Wakatsuki Chinatsu and Akimoto Miri." - Gendai

Rumor has it the goal of this Sawajiri Faction is to crush their rival peers, namely actresses with the 'innocent' persona. Rumor has it that they leak scandals of such stars as Ueto Aya and Nakama Yukie in order to eliminate them for the market...at least temporarily.

So what would you do if Sawajiri & Cronies start leaking your naked pics on the internet and says stuff like (Sawajiri reportedly said this in her dressing room about Nagasawa) "I can do both (kinds of roles). She (Nagasawa) has the whole 'good girl' image and that's the only role she can do. Don't compare me to that bitch!" (- Weekly Shinchou)? Fight back by starting your own gang. At least that's what Nagasawa did mid-December last year.

It's said that the Nagasawa Faction contains Ishihara Satomi, Ayase Haruka, Miyazaki Aoi, Toda Erika and Motokariya Yuika. Toda Erika apparently joined the Nagasawa-kai because she was harrassed by Sawajiri-kai, but Sawajiri-kai has its own problems with news that apparently Nakagawa Shoko has been having no say in anything they do. Will she defect to the other side?

If you compare the two groups they really aren't that different. Ishihara and Ueno are the resident pretty girls, Ayase and Horikita are the weird looking girls that Akiko Wada thinks are fat, Kashii Yu and Toda Erika are the resident 'do you know who I am? No?' girls. Who the hell is Akimoto Miri? At least I know everyone in the Nagasawa-kai. How much do you want to bet Horikita was a pity member amirite?

This entire Sawajiri vs Nagasawa feud has the entertainment industry on tiptoe and also quite entertained at the same time, and this Chocolate CM war is just the latest chapter in this extended catfight. Move over Avex girls, these girls fight dirty and get personal

But you all probably don't care much about yet another underage idol caught implicitly drinking/smoking, what we have is an exclusive inside source about how much of a bitch Erika is.

Our source says she was once good friends with her but had a (quite understandable) falling out after Erika decided to talk a lot of shit and was generally condescending.

10. "Young people still call her 'granny'": Hoshino Aki
Hoshino Aki turns 30 this year and has been widely celebrated (apparently mostly within the middle aged men crowd) as "pushing 30 but still hot." The majority of those who voted for here were in the younger female crowd who said such things as, "Consider your age" and "Why are you still playing a big-breasted babe character at 30 something?"
I say people are just hatin' and OLs needs to get over the fact that your life does not end when you turn 30. Jesus, this is why y'all have a population crisis.

9. "Most hated amongst her peers": Matsuura Aya
Oh Ayaya. Even Japanese people are tired of your burikko antics with such comments as "She's phony" and "I get pissed off when I see that burikko. She's so fake." She's been seen with w-inds' Keita.
I'm sorry but Ayaya looks like Maeken amirite?

8. "She hates what she did but people just plain hate her": Abiru Yuu

I am by no means an expert on female idols (I mean what does Abiru Yuu actually do?) but all I know about her was how she robbed a store, made them bankrupt because of that, and wasn't the least bit remorseful. If yr that bored and rich and famous just start your own ugly clothing line instead of indulging in yr klepto tendencies!

7. "They're full of themselves": Oriental Radio
"They're not funny," and "They're so full of themselves and not funny" are the accusations at hand. I know absolutely nothing about manzai and manzai standards, maybe my comedy friends can pop in and give their 2 cents on this issue.

6. "Not funny part 2": Sakurazuka Yakkun
Another victim of the "how much is too much?" question. Again, I'm no comedy expert but the Japanese comedy scene is extremely hit and miss and from my experience watching late night comedy shows I'd say it's leaning more towards the "miss" - no pun intended. His wiki article says "Yasuo and his management are keeping private any of his career before crossdressing as a schoolgirl" which makes me lol because we all know the truth: he was a Johnnys Jr dropout.

5. "Going way past common sense": Ayumi Hamasaki
"It's disgusting how different her face is now than it was back when she was an idol," "'Tired' describes both her face and her ongs," and "She looks like Michael Jackson."
LOLOLOLoLOL. I just want to know why she isn't higher up on the list.

4. "Morning Musume. Period."

I have nothing against HelloPro unlike the swarms of JE fans who will immediately start putting anthrax into envelopes at the mention of them, but Morning Musume is so old meme. Even Tsunku is basically peacing out with his revival of his own musical career.

"Hana Yori Dango" movie to open next summer

Fans of the "Hana Yori Dango" drama series will get one more chance to see the cast in action, as a movie has been announced for the summer of 2008. Titled "Hana Yori Dango Final," the film is being described as the last chapter of the live-action adaptation.

This will be Mao Inoue's first starring role in a movie. Jun Matsumoto, Shun Oguri, Shota Matsuda, and Tsuyoshi Abe will reprise their roles as the group known as "F4."

The film is set one year after Tsukushi Makino's graduation. The story focuses on a major incident that the five main characters become involved in, while also depicting the ups and downs of Tsukushi and Tsukasa's relationship.

Filming is scheduled to take place overseas for about two months, starting in January. The series' director Yasuharu Ishii will helm the picture. The story is currently being developed by the original mangaka Yoko Kamio and the series' screenwriter Mikio Satake (actor Takayuki Takuma).

"Hana Yori Dango," theJ-drama, broadcast two consecutive seasons, and because of its highpopularity, Fuji TV has asked the entire cast to return in January 2008to commence filming the movie version.

The story is going to be set one year after Tsukushi's graduation; she and the F4 will be embroiled in a big mess.

Oneof the producers said that Matsushima Nanako (Domyoji Tsubaki), whosebaby is scheduled to be born at the end of December, is going to try tojoin the cast once she recovers to reprise her role.

“Hana Yori Dango” the movie




The drama “Hana Yori Dango” in which Inoue Mao plays Makino Tsukushi, a girl living in poverty going to a high school for noble rich kids is to be made into a movie. The title is “Hana Yori Dango Final” and the leading parts will be re-played by Inoue Mao, Arashi’s Matsumoto Jun, Oguri Shun, Matsuda Shota, and Abe Tsuyoshi. In this final chapter everyone’s acting has reportedly improved.

Everyone does great in their roles and the group F4 will have a “power up” on the big screen that we’re told to watch for.

Tsukushi who is living strongly with her weed spirit does great in this love story. The year before last the first season of “Hana Yori Dango” was out from October through December and the average of people watching was 19.7% , quite a lot for one show. The 2nd season, which showed this year from January to March had even more though, 21.6%. In season one the highest for one episode was 27.6%! So, as we can see the “Hana Yori Dango” drama has done very well.

Many people had called in and hoped for another sequel and so we have it. The official home page had a limited time PV for it and according to the HP it reached a total of 366 million views as of August 16th!

According to the producer of TBS Inoue said this about the good news, “Looks like we’re continuing.” Matsumoto also chimed in with a bouncing voice, “Finally, has it came?” All five of the main actors have a strong handle on their characters. “Expect an acting difference with the actors, because they’ve had time to work on their skills. This is perhaps the last time all of the members work together. I want to end this on a positive mark.”

In the movie it’s been a year since Tsukushi has graduated and Domyoji and Tsukushi are a content couple. In this film there is also a beautiful special guest that hasn’t appeared in any of the two dramas. It has been decided that filming will start in January and go on for about two months abroad. The supervisor for the movie is the same as the chief director of the two dramas. They plan to continue with how Kamio Youko’s original manga “Hana Yori Dango” goes and also take into consideration things that happened in the drama, to do their best to merge.
