Patrick Swayze Has Terminal Cancer



Patrick Swayze has terminal cancer and only has five weeks to live, reports The National Enquirer.

The 55-year-old Dirty Dancing actor was diagnosed in late January with pancreatic cancer that has spread to other organs. Swayze has been receiving treatment at Stanford University’s cancer center in Palo Alto for radical chemotherapy.

“He was told he could have two more treatments, but his cancer was not responding. In short - they held out little hope for a cure,” said an insider.

The NY Post has confirmed the news with his publicist, saying, “He’s suffering from pancreatic cancer, which could tragically bring down the curtain on his remarkably diverse career… The average life expectancy is six to nine months, with only 4 percent of patients living more than five years.”

Pray for a miracle!!

UPDATE: Swayze’s doctor, Dr. Patrick George, tells People: “Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the time frame of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.”

Swayze’s rep adds: “Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family.”

Abbey Dawn: Avril Lavigne’s New Clothing Line



Rocker chick Avril Lavigne is teaming up with retailer Kohl’s to launch her own clothing line in July, reports USA Today

The juniors’ collection, named Abbey Dawn after Avril’s childhood nickname, will be “a lot of hot pinks and blacks and stars and purple and zebra. Basically, everything I wear. I have a very particular style. I want it to be available to a lot of girls, and I want it to be affordable. I walked through (a Los Angeles) Kohl’s the other day and said, ‘Oh, when my line is here it’s totally going to stand out.”

Proving she’s more than just a performer, Avril added, “I actually am the designer. What’s really important to me is that everything fits well and is well-made, so I try everything on and approve it all. I’m making sure that I think people in their 20s are going to wear it because it’s going to be a sexy fit, not just, ‘Oh, T-shirts and hoodies.’ The hoodies are slimming. It’s not a thick, bulky material.”

Pieces from Abbey Dawn will range from $24 to $48.

And fashion isn’t the only new venture Avril, 23, is pursuing. Says Lavigne, “I want to — it’s just going to sound crazy, but I’m going to make it happen — I want a film career,”

In this scene, Aniston’s character, Jennifer Grogan, suffers a flat time and Wilson tries to fix it. Unfortunately, he can’t and a few highway patrol men swoop in to rescue them.

Marley & Me is an adaptation of John Grogan’s bestselling memoir about an incorrigible Labrador retriever.

According to Variety, “Marley is the yellow lab adopted by Grogan, a columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer, and his wife. Their idea was to give them a taste of parenthood, but the dog proved to be a hyperactive handful. He wreaks havoc, gets kicked out of obedience school and gets even worse when the children begin to arrive, yet becomes an indispensable part of the family.”

Lisa Marie Presley Scolds Media, Announces Pregnancy



Lisa Marie Presley is pregnant with her third child but is not happy about the way media handled pictures of her gaining weight.

Under the subject, “Confirmation Under the Gun,” Lisa Marie writes on her Myspace:

“After being the target all week of slanderous and degrading stories, horribly manipulated pictures and articles in the media, I have had to show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am in fact pregnant.

Once they got a glimpse of my expanding physique a few days ago, they have been like a pack of coyotes circling their prey whilst eerily howling with delight. Starting with a London publication and then New York and Chicago all writing false defamatory degrading stories about all of the dark possible reasons I could be putting on weight. The US tabloids have been calling all day wanting confirmation on all kinds of insane theories.

They couldn’t wait to find out if my weight gain was because I was just overeating, in which case It would be open season and they can do the old following in her fathers sad and unfortunate demise story again or less interesting for them and probably much to their dismay, I could just be pregnant and therefore have a legitimate reason for weight gain at which point they should probably wipe the saliva off of their fangs and put them back in their mouths or they may expose the black little souls that they are.

Now that things are confirmed, hopefully they can stop all of the harassment and I can stop dodging the continuous bullets.

It is unfortunate that I couldn’t have announced something that is this much of a blessing and that has made us so incredibly happy under better circumstances.
How they have handled themselves with this has been nothing short of irresponsible and disgusting.

That's right, according to Courtney, someone used the dead rocker's social security number to buy a $3.2 million house.
How is that even possible????

“I would like to know how," says Love. "He should probably get his ass back home if that is the case.”

Courtney also claims that thieves set up 188 credit cards in her name!

"I knew it had been going on since when I went cuckoo — bananas — in 2003," explains Love. "It was fraud after fraud. But nobody believed me until now. I did a check on my deceased husband’s social security number and he has a house in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He bought it last year."

Courtney met with police this week to investigate her claims.

“I know who they are," she says ominously. "Taking a child’s money and future is a really horrible thing.”

We're Starting To Feel Bad For Her



April Lavigne's tour is soldiering on, and the shiteous reviews keep pouring in!

This time, it's from Canada's Globe and Mail.

The title pretty much sums it all up: "She's like, so whatever."

The splashy, showy staging, at odds with Lavigne's early T-shirt wearing, skateboard-riding image, makes for a more production-reliant show than Lavigne and her fans are used to. There are dancers - don't hold their introduction, a flag-waving run onto the stage, against them; they turn out to be excellent - risers, and strobe light effects. But there are nonetheless some shouts-out to Lavigne's skateboard-park beginnings, with skull and crossbones imagery splashed across the stage.

It's all very distracting, but none of it can make up for the worst damn truth about Avril Lavigne: She's not a very good singer.

Apparently, some nutjob has been sending threatening letters to several addresses connected to Brit Brit.

"A lot of it was disturbing stalker kind of stuff," says a source familiar with the situation. "But to be safe her security team is turning it all over to the police and FBI."

A rep for the LAPD says that a specific investigation has not been launched into the disturbing mail, but they, "have been looking at allegations that have cropped up in the past couple of months."

A spokesperson for the FBI says the LAPD could not comment on ongoing investigations.

Thankfully, Spears' dad, Jamie, has made sure she's got bodyguards with her and out of harms way.

Michelle Williams' Matilda Will Heal Her Heartbreak

Michelle Williams got girlie in this month's UK Vogue. The interview took place just a few weeks prior to Heath's death. Who would have ever known her words about heartbreak and being alone would have such a different meaning now. Even though it was just revealed that Heath's will was written prior to dating Michelle and having Matilda, his family has reassured the girls that they will be taken care of. In the lovely Vogue interview, Michelle is honest and humble. She's thankful for her career taking off and allowing that focus to distract her from heartbreak the year has brought her. Here are a few of my favorite quotes:



* On Matilda: "She's bigger than any heartbreak could ever be."
* "I've only got room for two things — my work and Matilda — and everything else has to take third or eighth position."

Clooney Talks Some Smack and Plays on the Internet

George Clooney got a little goofy for his Esquire photoshoot and interview. Beyond making funny faces with cutout eyes (remind anyone else of Claire's art on Six Feet Under?) he and the reporter had some fun with Google. In fact, not only does Clooney look at his fan sites, but he looks himself up on youtube, facebook groups, the whole nine yards. Also, he admits that he shaves his widow's peak. Just saying. Um, they even watch 2 girls 1 cup together — though Clooney doesn't last more than a few seconds. Here are highlights of what Clooney found:



* On Fabio saying he would win in a fight: "Yeah, that's probably true. He's a big guy. There is a moment when you are actually in the argument and you're thinking, 'If I do get beaten down by Fabio, that will be far worse than the pain. I wouldn't shake that."

Always the jokester, but that's what we love about Clooney, right? We have high hopes for Leatherheads, but at least if it ends up being a bust he'll have a laugh about it and move on. Can you blame him, though? He's Clooney. He always wins.

Beyonce stars as legendary Blue singer Etta James and Adrien plays legendary record produce Len Chess. Mos Def, Jeffrey Wright, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Cedric The Entertainer co-star in the movie.

The film which chronicles the rise and fall of influential R&B record label Chess Records will also shoot in Mississippi later in the month.

Etta James spoke to PageSix about Beyonce playing her, “Etta James ain’t been no angel!” she said at the time. “I don’t think she looks like me, but that’s all right. They can fix that up.” Let’s hope they can fix Beyonce up!

Vanessa Hudgens is Emo



Vanessa Hudgens sits down with Entertainment Tonight to talk about her new teenage romance, Will.

The 19-year-old High School Musical star plays Sa5m (the “five” is silent), a teenage misfit caught up in her high-school’s battle of the bands.

“My look is definitely more dark than in High School Musical,” says Vanessa. “I play kind of the ‘emo, kept away from everybody else in her own world’ kinda girl. She wears a loo of black. She always has longsleeves with thumbs in them.”

The E! channel is in talks of putting together a show about the life of the Lohan family, but without Lindsay’s participation.

Living Lohan will focus on Lindsay’s mother Dina, sister Ali, and brothers Cody and Michael.

“The Lohans are one of the most intriguing families in the entertainment industry today,” Lisa Berger, head of E! original programming said. “This is a family that knows how to roll with the punches and come out on top. Dina is an incredibly hard-working, passionate mom that I think our viewers will find both relatable and highly entertaining.”

Lots of people have shown interest, but it’s finding the right way to do it. Everything I do with dVb is true to my heart, and it has to have some relevance to me, my children or my husband.”

Britney Spears is scheduled to appear as a guest star on the CBS show How I Met Your Mother.

And that's a good thing!

Look out for BritBrit in the 14th episode of the season.

It's so good to hear that she is getting it together!!

Brit's scenes will reportedly be with the show's lead character, Ted.

An insider revealed that the most likely role for Britney in that episode is "Abby," a girl who works in Ted's doctor's office. She's described as "sweet and friendly and scattered and a little nerdy—a female Michael Cera."

(Her film) Crossroads sucked, but her appearance on Will & Grace was cute. Plus, any work and return to normalcy for her is a good thing. A very good thing.

As the fifth season is set to debut later this month…

Showtime has announced that their very successful lesbionically delicious drama The L Word will end its run on the network next year.

By the time the last episode airs, the show will be one of the longest running programs in cable TV history with six seasons.

According to the net, fan input will play a part in wrapping up the series' story lines, noting the role that viewer input has played in the past.

The Psychiatrist Did It!



Apparently, Heather Locklear's psychiatrist was the one that phoned police Saturday night when she feared for Heather's safety.

If she wasn't suicidal before, she may be now that everybody thinks she's crazy!

After speaking with Locklear on the phone, the psychiatrist called 911 because she suspected Heather was upset and believed she might have overdossed on anti-depression medication.

The call was listed as a suicide attempt, and paramedics were dispatched.

Luckily when they arrived, Heather was OK.

Let's hope she really is OK and not messing around with any type of pills.

Talk about your depression, don't drown it away with meds!

For those few that watched the premier of E!'s new Ashton Kutcher-produced Pop Fiction this weekend, guess what??? Turns out the concept of the show came from Anna Nicole Smith….THREE years ago!!!

The show was to be called Celebrities Strike Back, and it was pitched by Anna and her former attorney/manager/"lover" Howard K. Stern.

Seems like a lawsuit is in the happenings!

Pop Fiction seems almost identical to the treatment that Anna registered with the Writers Guild back in 2004.

Anna and Howard even pitched the show and sent the treatment to E! president Ted Harbert along with two top execs at E!.

The treatment states, "…what happens if Anna Nicole Smith and other celebrities turn the tables and capitalize off of the overzealous media? What if the next big supposed scandal is not a scandal at all? What if everything is staged, but the media (and the public) don't know it? Anna Nicole and other celebrity guests take aim at the media and push all the limits."

To add a slap in the face, Howard even spoke with E! just two months ago, on behalf of the estate of course, and pitched the show again. This time, with Larry Birkhead doing the opening prank, and later hosting the show. But he was turned down.

Drugs Are Bad



Travis McCoy is opening up about his drug addiction and attempts at getting clean.

The Gym Class Heroes MC posted the following frank entry on his official blog about his time in a detox program and what prompted him to get sober.

Hopefully this will help some of you out there!

Says Travis:

Baby I’m a blur…… So i’ve had a little time on my hands lately. Recovering from a relatively new procedure that cleans your opiate receptors and basically gives you a new beginning. I feel like a layer of shit as been peeled off of my brain. I’m sure alot of you who really pay attention to our music know that i’ve been addicted to pharmaceuticals since I was 15 years old. This is my second stint in a detox program, the first was right before we signed to FBR and it really didn’t help much. Meeting after meeting i still had a thirst, a death wish. #### it, it is what it is. You’re probably asking yourself why is he spilling his guts on the inter-web?? Well the truth of the matter is, I felt an enormous amount of guilt for glorifying drug use in our music, I never talked about getting fucked up in song to sound cool or to gain points. It WAS my life, day in day out, its how I coped with everything. The death of my cousin(R.I.P Isaiah) this past year did it for me, I dove in face first and began killing myself slowly. Then people started dropping like flies all around me, friends, Heath, Pimp C, etc., etc. Still, I was selfish and thought I was invincible, as we all do. I realized something, I gave myself an expiration date, a self fullfilled destiny I was certain to make true. For some retarded reason I never thought i’d make it past 27. Well, it’s nearing and I’m still here, and I have no plans to leave anytime soon. There are only a few people I hold dearly that know I even went through with this, of course the world knows now, but to all my friends, family, management, fans I love you all immensely and to anyone else struggling with this shit, it is conquerable, you can beat it. All kinds of things were pulling at me before I boarded the plane for the hospital. Will I still be cool drug free? Will I lose my edge? Will my writing suffer? Will my friends think I’m lame? Will I still be a fun guy or a vegetable? Guess what?!?! I feel like Wolverine out this motherfucker,uh, whatever that means. I’m a little weak and achy but every hour that passes I feel more and more like me. The me i havn’t seen in 10 years. There is no instruction manual to this lifestyle, the road, the cameras, the press(good or bad), the expectations, the pressure, it’s enough to make an ox buckle at the knees mid-charge. I’ve always rolled with the punches, I’m throwing them now. If it means anything , any of this, just don’t be selfish, live for yourself but know your life is directly connected and important to anyone who loves or cares for you, I can count with 2 hands how many friends i’ve lost to drugs, I don’t want to start using toes.

Adam Sandler's little daughter Sadie is certainly the spitting image of daddy and getting cuter by the day. The duo spent their Saturday grabbing some lunch together in Brentwood. While You Don't Mess With the Zohan and his newly announced Apatow project might be a little too mature for Sadie just yet, maybe his whimsical gumball rainstorm movie Bedtime Stories will be more up her alley. Adam has something else great in the works too — he'll be participating in the second biannual Night of Too Many Stars comedy show to benefit autism research. I'm sure his little sweetheart Sadie would be especially proud of that project of daddy's.

Paris Keeps BM on Her Mind and Finger

Paris Hilton was showing off some new bling — a diamond ring with her boyfriend Benji Madden's initials on it (subtle, I know) — at the Vegas opening of Kim Vo Salon on Friday night. Clearly, she wants to make people talk and what better way than a steady stream of rings on that one meaningful finger. Her boy didn't walk the red carpet with her on Friday, but by Saturday they were hitting the clubs hand in hand just days before the Madden twins' 29th birthday on Tuesday. I wonder if Paris and Nicole have anything more planned for their boys?

Cameron Is Her Own Keeper

After working hard this week on My Sister's Keeper, Cameron Diaz spent Saturday night partying at Villa in Hollywood. It seems like she had a pretty good time since she left being escorted out by a club employee around 2 a.m. We love that Cameron isn't one to shy away from a good time even when she's spending her days hard at work. Somehow she seems to balance it all so well while still looking effortlessly fabulous. Pretty soon she'll be busy promoting What Happens in Vegas before its release on May 9 and as usual, we can't wait to see what she'll wear.

Jessica Simpson Is Already Taking the Troops' Breath Away

Jessica Simpson proved she can look hot even in camouflage (with the help of those Daisy Dukes) while meeting some of the troops over in Kuwait today. The men looked pretty psyched to have their picture taken with the pop star, and they're probably even more excited to see her take the stage when she performs with the Pussycat Dolls for an Operation MySpace concert today. As for Jess, she said, "I can't wait to get up there and have fun with everybody." Sounds like a great time all around, so maybe Jessica's good-doing can overshadow those unnecessary diva rumors.
