Rep: Priscilla Presley Was a 'Victim' of Bogus Doctor



Dancing With the Stars contestant Priscilla Presley is making news for something other than her footwork, acknowledging that she had once fallen victim to an unqualified plastic surgeon identified as Dr. Daniel Serrano.

In a statement released on Tuesday, a rep for the 62-year-old Presley said, "Priscilla Presley was one of many documented victims of Dr. Serrano. An investigation which uncovered his misconduct ultimately lead to his imprisonment. Ms. Presley dealt with this matter years ago and everything is well."

In November 2004, federal agents arrested Serrano, who was only a nurse in the U.S., and charged him with importing and distributing a drug that was a combination of synthetic collagen and tiny solid beads that was legal in some countries but not approved by the FDA, PEOPLE reported at the time.

"He's a very charming guy," Ellen Lavinthal, who sometimes availed herself of Serrano's services, told PEOPLE in Dec. 2004, "and he had a lot of fabulous endorsements from the women he had been treating." She added: "He's very good at taking advantage of women."

In 2006, Serrano pleaded guilty in federal court in Los Angeles to conspiracy, smuggling and use of unapproved drugs, the Los Angeles Times reported. He was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison.

Ashley Tisdale Vows No More Plastic Surgery



High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale is finding herself on the defensive again after rumors surfaced last week that she had more plastic surgery.

"People are saying I had another nose job and I did not. That's ridiculous," Tisdale tells PEOPLE exclusively. "I was away in New Zealand filming a movie (They Came From Upstairs) and so people think I went away to have more work done. But I didn't."

Tisdale, 22, had a nose job in last November to correct a deviated septum and to smooth out two bumps from when she fractured her nose as a teen. The singer/actress was slammed by critics, saying that she didn't have to change the look of her nose in order to fix her septum.

"[Tabloids] have doctors talk about what they think I did with my surgery, but they did not examine me," Tisdale says. "They don't know what I have inside my nose."

"It's very irresponsible for a medical professional to comment on someone whom they have not examined," notes Tisdale's rep, Scott Appel.

Rumors also recently surfaced that Tisdale, who is in Utah to film High School Musical 3 had a breast augmentation.

"Look at me," she says, laughing. "Does it look like it to you? No! It's ridiculous. I'm not for plastic surgery. I'm not going to get another surgery. I can promise you that."

Brad Pitt Related to Barack Obama, Angelina Jolie to Hillary Clinton



Presidential candidates don't just have star supporters – they have celebrity cousins!

Researchers at the New England Historic Genealogical Society discovered that Barack Obama is distant cousins with Brad Pitt and Hillary Clinton is related to Angelina Jolie, Madonna, Alanis Morissette, and Celine Dion.

Obama – who wrote his own Just Like Us captions last month – is also distantly related to six presidents, including George W. Bush.

Pitt and Obama are ninth cousins, linked by Edwin Hickman, who died in Virginia in 1769, the researchers found.

Clinton – who revealed her worst outfits ever to Us – and Jolie, meanwhile, are ninth cousins, twice removed because they are both related to Jean Cusson who died in St. Sulpice, Quebec, in 1718.

Julia Roberts Lives in ‘Duplicity’



Julia Roberts wraps up a scene on the set of her latest movie Duplicity, at the Otto and Addie Kahn Mansion on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

Julia was seen previously with co-star Clive Owen showing some on-screen chemistry.

Julia, 40, and Clive, 43, also worked together in Closer, where they played a married couple that clashed over her infidelity.

How I Met Your Mama

Okay ... so what did y'all think about Britney Spears's guest starring part on CBS's How I Met Your Mother which aired last night? I must admit, I wasn't home to watch the show when it aired at 8:30pm but I did watch it before I went to bed. Here are a few screencaps from Britney's appearance on the show:

I was actually surprised at how small Britney's part was in the ep ... but I guess it makes sense that she play the whacky receptionist, especially considering the way things have been going in her life lately. It makes sense to ease her back into the public consciousness without overstepping too soon. I loved the Sarah Chalke character (which was originally supposed to be played by Alicia Silverstone, who I understand bowed out of the part after learning that Britney was cast as well for fear of being overshadowed) and I thought the whole ep was really funny overall. That being said, I think Brit could've been a little bit more natural ... her lines seemed a bit forced, as if she spent a lot of time enunciating before shooting her scenes ... but I was so happy to see that she pulled off the part perfectly. Her awkward manner of speaking fit in nicely with the character (and as much as I love her, I know her awkwardness wasn't by intentional design ... it looked like nerves). People magazine has posted a very thorough treatise on Brit Brit's performance HERE, in case you're interested. It's an intiguing read, if a bit too serious and overblown. I think this was a great little comeback for our dear Britney. I would've never imagined that she'd be back to semi-normal so soon after her mental breakdown in January (that was just 2 months ago, folks). Things are looking up ... I really believe she can keep things on the upswing from here on out

A pregnant Angelina Jolie and Zahara, 3, toyed around in Texas last week. On Wednesday, they hit Party Pig Superstore in Sunset Valley. Hiding her bump in a black trench coat, Jolie, 32, carried Zahara, who held on to her blankie as they browsed the aisles for an hour.

It's unclear why Angelina did not deign to bring along her other children with her but I'm sure there was a very good reason. Perhaps Princess Z decreed that none of the other rugrats be brought along for this little shopping jaunt ... perhaps Z finds them tiresome and a horrible distraction. I suspect that what Zahara wants, Zahara gets. I imagine that she may not be too happy with the fact that Brangelina are bringing forth new babies to horn in her domain and perhaps Angelina is trying to placate Miss Z with baubles and presents in the meantime. It makes sense ... you do not want to get on Zahara Jolie-Pitt's bad side.

A radiant Gwen Stefani showed off her huge bump yesterday as she welcomed guests to her baby shower at the Los Angeles home she shares with husband Gavin Rossdale. The heavily pregnant pop star, who never scrimps on glamour when it came to her maternity wear, wore a flowing empire line floral dress and towering wedge heels for the afternoon affair. Stars including Courtney Cox's husband David Arquette and Gwen's former boyfriend and No Doubt bandmate Tony Kanal arrived baring gifts for the expectant singer. Gwen is already mother to Kingston, who turns two in May, and it is a role she revels in ... The 38-year-old says she "definitely" wants to have more than two children, quipping: "It's fun trying to get pregnant."

I just love Gwen ... she is always such a beautiful sight no matter what her circumstance is. She really wears pregnancy well ... she always has actually. I'm sure she can't wait to birth this baby so that she can get back to makin' a new one! [Source]

A heavily-pregnant Jessica Alba looked like she wanted to go home - and fast - after dining out with her fiancé in New York. The normally cheerful beauty, who is reportedly expecting twins, looked miserable in the Big Apple at the weekend. With her due date not until June 8, the Fantastic Four actress still has almost three months to go before she gives birth. Perhaps it was being in the city that never sleeps and not home in California, that put 26-year-old Alba in such a bad mood, as her demeanour was a complete contrast to her previous glowing comments about pregnancy. "It's (being pregnant) awesome. It's the best time ever," she said. Of her changing figure, she added: "When you're pregnant, your breasts are engorged and your stomach is getting bigger by the second."

Aww ... poor Jess ... I'm sure things will get better for her soon. And, to be fair, she doesn't really like getting photographed by the paps under any circumstances so maybe she was just in one of her regular crabby moods when she saw the paps. That being said, I imagine Jessica Alba can't *wait* for June to roll around to pop this baby o-u-t

Radar magazine has officially launched their new weekly advice column called Yo Spencer which will feature submitted reader questions and advice from, none other than, Spencer Pratt of The Hills infamy ... here is the first question and Spencer's sage advice in turn:



YO SPENCER! I just started dating this guy who I really like. The other night, we went out and got hammered. I ended up passing out in his bed. When I woke up, I discovered that I had wet the bed. I was so embarrassed that I left while he was still asleep. If I call him, do I have to apologize or can I pretend it never happened? Or do I have to wait for him to call me?

Wow! This is a situation you do not want to find yourself in. I personally would never want to be with a girl who gets so wasted that she's pissing in bed. It's time to sign up for AA, my dear, because drunks are not sexy. Regardless, if the guy's really, really, really cool, he might understand. But I wouldn't count on it. Best bet is to be honest and tell him that was the drunkest you've ever been and that it was a huge mistake and it'll never happen again. And make sure you buy him new sheets.

Sarah writes: Because shooting started in my small hometown of Columbus (population: 4,500), I was able to go and watch them shoot. The pictures that are attached my brother, Jamie, actually took at the bank that my mom works at. Apparently, Johnny actually went into the bank and took some pics & signed some autographs right before my brother & mom got there. Boo. Unfortunately, we weren't able to see Christian Bale, Marion Cotillard, Channing Tatum (damn!) or Giovanni Ribisi; we're not even sure if they were there or not. But none the less, my brother got these pics and I thought I would share them with you.

I love these pics! Even tho I'm not a fan of period pieces, I'm loving what I've been seeing of this film so far. I guess I'm kinda bummed that the money bag doesn't have a $ on it but still, the pics are very cool. Much, much love goes out to Sarah and her bro Jamie for sharing these amazing pics. I imagine it is very exciting to have a big Hollywood film set come to town (OR it's a huge pain in the ass ... more probably, it's a mixture of both depending on who you ask) and I really appreciate hearing how filming like this takes place from the locals themselves. The 26-year-old told People that upcoming bling line will be produced with Mouawad, the company who also does Heidi Klum’s fine jewelry collection.

Explained Nicole, “It’s all costume jewelry. I like to play with jewelry and mix and match. [I’m working with] this really talented woman named Shelley Gibbs. She’s an artist and she sketches everything.”

But baby Harlow is still her most important priority: “Everyone’s been really mellow and able to work around my schedule. If I need to go feed the baby, I do it.”

Carnie Wilson’s Weight War Continues



Singer and former talk show host Carnie Wilson tries to work off a little weight, jogging early Monday morning near her home in Los Angeles.

The 39-year-old was also seen getting a manicure at Euphoria Hand & Foot Spa in Los Angeles on Saturday.

In 2000, Carnie reached over 300 pounds and received gastric bypass surgery, a procedure that reduced the size of her stomach to that of an egg. The surgery was a success and she ended up losing 150 pounds. However, after giving birth to her daughter, Lola, now 2, Carnie appears to have gained all the weight back again.

“Everyone can see that I’m bigger, but I cannot hibernate,” she tells OK!. “I’ve never lied or been dishonest about what’s going on in my life. Even all these years later, having had such a great weight-loss story, being back in this place is so familiar. And it hurts. I don’t want to feel this way anymore. It doesn’t feel good when you have to struggle to get your pants on.”

Leivava, 23, is a former member of the Russian rhythmic gymnastics Olympic team and starred in the short-lived FOX drama Vanished.

- Carey's song has been on the radio for more than a month while Madonna's only a week. It is expected that Touch My Body will have a strong first week and go down while Madonna's will gain airplay and rise on iTunes.

-Madonna's was available Tuesday while Mariah's Monday.

- Madonna's song is #1 on Amazon downloads.

- Also, look at the complete album chart on iTunes, Madonna is also there twice (#3, #22) with the same album, which counted as one, would probably take her higher than #3."

On a sad but not totally shocking note, 'fake' Heath Ledger memorabilia - posters from Ledger's last completed film, Dark Knight, and 'signed' photographs - are being peddled in Los Angeles to tourists.

Anything to make a buck! So gross.

A source close to the Ledgers reports that Heath's family "are appalled" that Heath's name is being used to dupe true fans, "They're furious that pirates are cashing in on his death."

Reps for Dark Knight confirmed that any film memorabilia out there are fakes, "There are no Dark Knight posters or memorabilia connected to the movie on sale yet. We are investigating how they have been pirated."

We don't mind so much selling posters and shiz, but passing off signed pictures as authentic when they are not????

It seems Katie Holmes just isn't herself lately. She's been spotted out in publicly looking down, pale, slimmer than Victoria Beckahm, and noticeably without baby Suri.

What could be the problem?

Well, Star magazine is claiming to know the cause, and all signs point to Tom Cruise.

Reports are that Katie is starting to "crack" under the strain of being with Tom. She's only cracking now???

Sources say that she's been having frequent dizzy spells and such strong headaches that she'll often see black spots. During a recent trip to Joan's on Third, one onlooker said, "She gave us a weak smile and wave before leaving out the back door." And once outside, a dazed and unsteady Holmes had to lean against the door for support until her bodyguard arrived to guide her into the car.

Another problem: It seems her weight might be affecting her health as well. According to sources, Katie feels so pressured to be slim, she's become obsessive about dieting.

Not to mention that Tom's oddly high energy may be hard for Katie to keep up with. An insider says "Katie doesn't get enough sleep, and hasn't for months now. She's tired and drained much of the day because Tom is so wired, and they stay awake until after midnight. He has boundless energy, and she just can't compete."

Sleep is so important, as Heath Ledger's death reminded us!

And adding to the whole mess, a source says Tom has a 'You can be with me, but don't ask about it rule'. Meaning Tom will go off for days at a time and leave Katie behind with the baby and to take over the design of their posh, $35 million Beverly Hills mansion. The source adds, "To him, the home is a status symbol, so it's on Katie's shoulders to pull off something beyond magnificent, something Tom can brag about. She's giving herself headaches thinking about it and making herself sick."

What type of a person would marry someone with a 'Don't Ask' policy? We're guessing John Travolta might have the same policy in place.

Webber proclaims, “I’ve made a decision today that I will do The Phantom of the Opera sequel. And I have met with a couple people today who have persuaded me to do it, who I will not reveal, but it’s a very exciting day for me. . . It’s going to be very exciting, and I can reveal that it will be set in New York.”

Well it's not the Oscar's, but at least Justin Timberlake will be hosting some type of award show.

It's just been confirmed that JT will be hosting the annual ESPY Awards show this summer. The ceremony will take place in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre on July 20th.

The ESPYs celebrate the best and funniest moments in sports throughout the year. Something Justin knows a lot about, right???

Timberlake was quoted as saying, "I'll do my best to deliver a great show, as I do not want to be roughed up backstage by these athletes who are bigger, faster and stronger than me."

We have a feeling they just hired Justing to get more of a female audience to watch.

But, hey, whatever works!

American Idol alum Katharine McPhee is the new spokeswhore for Neutrogena.

Great career* move for her. *What little career she has left.

Sources close to the skin care peddling deal say McPhee walked away with $500K.

Neutrogena and McPhee's people have yet to confirm the deal even though McPhee was spotted shooting a Neutrogena commercial in LA last week.

McPhee is in interesting company. Past 'faces' of Neutrogena include Hayden Panettiere, Vanessa Hudgens and Mushy Barton.

His Daughter Was In The Car!!!!!



Heather is gonna be pissed!!!!!

As we mentioned first, earlier today, Richie Sambora was arrested for drunk driving Tuesday night.

To make matters even worse, reports are surfacing that Ava, Sambora's 10 year old daughter, was in the car with him at the time of his DUI arrest!!!!!

WTF?!?!

It's one thing to drive around alone and drunk, but to do so with your daughter in the car? Crazy!

Not that you should be driving drunk in the first place!

Police are not yet confirming or denying that it was Sambora's daughter in the car, since the situation is still under investigation.

Laguna Beach Sgt. Jason Kravetz told Us Weekly that "There were three females in the car, two of them were juveniles. The officer [that arrested Sambora] formed the opinion that Mr. Sambora had been operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol."

Sambora is set to appear in court on May 7th.

Let's hope he doesn't drive for a while.

Ryan Phillippe: Seeing Reese With Jake Is 'Bizarre'



He knew it was coming, but that doesn't make it any easier for Ryan Phillippe to see ex-wife Reese Withersoon with her new man.

"It's bizarre," the actor told USA Today Wednesday, adding that he avoids looking at photos of Witherspoon and boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal.

"There's plenty of times when I say, 'What a strange situation I've found myself in,' " he said. "But at a certain point you know it's going to happen, so you are prepared."

Phillippe, 33, split from Witherspoon – the mother of his two children, Ava, 8, and Deacon, 4 – in October 2006. The actress's new romance first made headlines last March, when she and the Brokeback Mountain star were spotted dining at L.A.'s Il Sole.

As for Phillippe's own love life, the actor – who's been linked to actress Abbie Cornish – remained reticent. "It's just something I would really rather not address," he told the paper. "It has to be a 'no comment.' "

He also insists that despite a painful divorce, he isn't ruling out a second marriage.

"I can see doing it again, yeah," he said. "And I can certainly see possibly having children again. I'm pretty young, and there are many beautiful things about that idea of marriage and family. It just doesn't always work out perfect for everybody."

Laila Ali Expecting a Baby



Laila Ali and her husband, former NFL star Curtis Conway, are expecting their first child together, she confirms exclusively to Essence magazine.

"I don't know yet if we are having a boy or a girl, but I'm excited that I have a life inside me that my husband and I created," Ali says in the May issue, which hits newsstands April 11.

The boxing champ, who co-hosts American Gladiators, and Conway married last July in the rose garden of the Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey, Calif.

Among the 200 guests were Laila's parents, Muhammad Ali and Veronica Porsche Anderson, along with her sister Hana Ali, who was a bridesmaid.

This is the first child for Ali and the fourth for Conway, who has twin sons, Kelton and Cameron, 13, and a daughter Leilani, 9.

"I am 100 percent undeniably happy," Ali tells ESSENCE. "I've never been able to say that before."

Ali, 30, and Conway, 37, met at his house, when he hosted a small get-together, which Ali attended with a friend. The pair became engaged on Thanksgiving 2006.

Shortly after their wedding, Ali told PEOPLE that married life was "excellent."

"My husband and I are best friends," she said. "We have great communication and we respect each other."

Kimora Lee Files for Divorce from Russell Simmons



Kimora Lee Simmons filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Russell Simmons, in Los Angeles County Superior Court Tuesday.

The couple announced that they had split up in March 2006, but said they had already been separated "for some time."

In court papers, Kimora, 32, cites irreconcilable differences and asks for legal and physical custody of the couple's two daughters, Ming, 8, and Aoki, 5. She requests that Simmons, 50, get "reasonable child visitation … to be accompanied at all times by the children's nanny and security personnel.

At the time of their initial separation in 2006, Simmons said in a statement: "Kimora and I will remain committed parents and caring friends with great love and admiration for each other."

Kimora has been dogged recently by rumors that she is expecting a child with boyfriend Djimon Hounsou. At an appearance in Chicago earlier this month, she told reporters. "I'm in the paper every single week – that I had a fight with my ex-husband, or that I was mad at one of his girlfriends, or that I'm pregnant, or that I demand Fiji water … Lies upon lies upon lies."

Nicole Richie Goes to the Head of the Class



New mom Nicole Richie continues to get her life back on track by returning to her 18-month program of group counseling, one-on-one meetings and alcohol education on Wednesday in Los Angeles. (These classes were initially ordered after she pleaded guilty to DUI in July 2007.)

“She’s very coopera­tive and humble — she seems determined never to get into the same situation again,” an insider tells Life & Style. “She wants to put the whole ordeal behind her. She has a family to focus on now, and that has given her great strength.”

But there are tough new challenges ahead. In late March, Joel left for a Good Charlotte tour that will take him throughout Europe through mid-April. He still checks in on baby Harlow and Nicole nightly, video-conferencing via iChat, but it’s obviously not the same as being there.

Nicole and Joel can’t wait until he’s back so they can resume their routine. “Nicole’s world is about bottles, diapers and family dinners now,” says the couple’s friend. “Parenthood is the best thing that ever happened to her.”

Added JC, “Let’s clear that up real quickly and the thing is, we don’t even get to hang out that much. We are friends, absolutely, the guy is a super nice guy and he’s a friend of mine but you know the only time people would usually see us together is in some type of photograph so they just assume that it’s like that. You know people hang out with their best friends every day… and I don’t even see this guy every day. He’s a friend of mine, like I said, it’s just ridiculous. The fact of the matter is, if I’m standing next to a girl and I don’t have a girlfriend all the sudden I’m dating her. Will Ferrell is in the Land of the Lost



Will Ferrell films scenes from his upcoming film, Land of the Lost at the LaBrea tar pits in Los Angeles.

Land of the Lost was originally an NBC series which aired in the mid 1970s, and is now set to be made into a comedy movie starring former Saturday Night Live star Will Ferrell.

Will, 40, plays Rick Marshall, who in the TV series is transported with his children Willy and Holly to a strange pre-historic world complete with dinosaurs.

Land of the Lost is expected to be released in theaters nationwide in July 2009.

Will Smith Weighs Seven Pounds



Will Smith suits up as he films scenes in Los Angeles on the set of his latest movie, Seven Pounds.

Will, 39, is teaming up with Gabriele Muccino, who also directed the tear-jerker The Pursuit of Happyness

The story focuses on Will’s character, who inadvertently falls in love while attempting to kill himself, while also affecting the lives of seven strangers.

Seven Pounds is expected to be released in late 2008.

Tyra Banks Hates America's Next Top Model



It looks like Tyra Banks is pretty much over "America's Next Top Model" and will bail on it in favor of spending more time on her stupid talk show. MSNBC says:

OK! magazine reports that Banks isn't getting along with photo shoot creative director Jay Manuel, and her days on the show could be numbered. "It's gotten so bad that Tyra and Jay aren't speaking," an insider told OK! magazine. The selective silent treatment isn't limited to Manuel, either. "Tyra barely interacts with the contestants and only wants to show up on judging day," the source told the magazine."


I wouldn't get along with that bitch Jay Manuel either. His head looks like it was dipped in papier mache paste. I used Jay's head as "Wilson" in my Cast Away diorama this year and my 8th grade teacher gave me a C minus. So that's why I'm all, #### Jay Manuel.

Geri Halliwell aka Ginger Spice recently made her way to our bonny shores here in the US to advocate for maternal healthcare in her role as United Nations Goodwill Ambassador ... and she posed for a few demure pics in and around our Nation's capital Washington DC:



It may not be as memorable as her trademark Spice Girl Union Jack outfit, but Geri Halliwell took a more classic approach to her role as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador. Dressed in a demure Jackie 'O' style dress, with her wild Titian locks tamed, Geri showed off a decidedly First Lady style of dress - and behaviour - as she posed for photographs outside some of the US state capital's memorable landmarks. Geri, 35, appeared to have a ... relaxing time, however, smiling broadly for the promotional shots as she takes in her historic surroundings. But there was a serious side to the Spice Girl's presidential poise. Geri, whose reunion tour with her Spice pals ended recently, was in Washington last month to advocate for maternal healthcare while the group were in the capital as part of the tour ... She attended a meeting with Congressmen Jim Moran and Jim McGovern to discuss the serious health issues facing women and mothers worldwide as part of her mission on behalf of the development agency. Regarding her position as a UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador, Geri has said: "Like many women, I take my right to reproductive and sexual health care for granted, but for women in the developing world, getting pregnant can mean the difference between life and death." Clearly, it's a subject close to the heart of mother of one's heart. And there's no harm in looking the part either.

All that was missing was the pillbox hat and she would've looked perfect ... but I dunno, I think a sequined dress with the US flag on the front of it would've really rocked balls instead.

Miley Cyrus seemed more than willing to pose with her mom for the photographers in LA yesterday. Lately she's been getting more and more exposure, while Britney's been laying low. In fact, New York Daily News talked to a photo agency that said Miley had twice as many photographers following her over the weekend and that the paparazzi are looking for a fresh face. `American Idol' axes another contestant

The one-name singer -- who previously worked security at Los Angeles International Airport -- was eliminated from "American Idol" as the show narrowed the competition to nine finalists.

Chikezie, 22, of Inglewood, Calif., injected the singing contest with enthusiasm and soul. His performances could be risky and kinetic, as when he sang the Beatles' "She's A Woman," or safe and retro, as seen in his earlier rendition of "More Today than Yesterday."

Simon Cowell criticized Chikezie for singing the ballad "If Only for One Night" on Tuesday's performance show: "You chose the wrong song last night. ... It wasn't original."

The other lowest vote-getters were Jason Castro and Syesha Mercado.

Tattooed finalist Carly Smithson took a moment to address speculation she's expecting a child with her husband. She told host Ryan Seacrest: "Apparently I'm pregnant -- but I'm not."

Wednesday's show also featured a performance by "Idol" also-ran Kimberley Locke, who placed third behind Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken in season two.

Dita Gets What Dita Wants!



That didn't take long! Just one day after the stripperiffic Dita Von Teese filed suit against an adult-oriented trade show claiming they stiffed her on performance fees, the company paid up. Don't mess with a girl with 8 lbs. of makeup on!

Von Teese, whose real name is Heather Sweet, filed the suit against Erotica Limited on March 13, claiming they owed her half of the $50,000 fee she was promised for performing her burlesque act. On March 14, Erotica Limited paid in full.

Von Teese then filed documents in the L.A. County Superior Court earlier this week asking that the suit be dismissed.

Diddy to L.A. Times: Told Ya So!!!

Sean "Diddy" Combs' attorney tried to talk the L.A. Times out of publishing an article last week that said his client had advanced knowledge of an attack on Tupac Shakur. But they did it anyway, and now the story is blowing up in their face -- and Diddy is pissed.



The story ran first on the L.A. Times' web site on March 17, and was then published two days later in the paper. When Diddy's attorney, Howard Weitzman, read the story online, he sent a letter to the Times asking them to "refrain from reprinting [the article] and that the false accusation be immediately be retracted." The paper did nothing.

Diddy's lawyer tells TMZ, "The Times completely ignored my letter, did nothing to correct their defamatory article, and never held the reporter, Chuck Philips, to the Code of Ethics the paper supposedly had set for its writers. We will continue to seek a retraction and to pursue appropriate remedies given the egregious and reckless conduct of Mr. Philips and the L.A. Times."

The authenticity of documents that were a focal point of the story have been brought into question by TheSmokingGun. The Times has said they will launch an internal investigation into the matter.
