Here is our first look at the new album artwork for Alanis Morissette's new album Flavors of Entanglement which is due for release on June 10:



The album artwork has a bit of a Jagged Little Pill look to it. Flavors is Alanis's first album of new material since So-Called Chaos was released back in 2004 (altho, Alanis did release an acoustic version of her smash album Jagged Little Pill in 2005 as well as a greatest hits collection later on that same year). I have been looking forward to this album for some time now ... it's great to finally see what the album artwork looks like. [thanks Sunny]

Heath Ledger's "Former Lover" Denies Existence of Love Child



With rumors rampant that Heath Ledger may have had a teenaged love child, the woman in question and her husband have spoken out.

"I'm not answering anything," she told UK newspaper The Daily Mail (names redacted to protect privacy). "I think it's very, very rude that I'm being posed all of this. I really do. I can't talk about anything."

"You have no proof, there's no background, there's no grounds, there's no nothing," she continued.

Her husband supported her assertions: "The whole thing with [Ledger being the father] is no. No way. No can be."

Reports Ledger fathered the now 11-year-old girl came from the actor's estranged uncle, who spoke to Australian media.

Ledger — who died of a prescription drug overdose in January at the age of 28 — had a fling with a 25-year-old woman when he was 17. The woman learned she was pregnant after their relationship ended.

"We knew it would flare up and that is the point of my talking and the simple thing is we will do a DNA test," her husband told the Daily Mail.

"I'm the step-dad, but there's nothing to hide... and if I asked [the mother] I'm sure that she wouldn't mind [to have a DNA test]," he added.

Ledger has a daughter, Matilda, 2, with actress Michelle Williams.

EXCLUSIVE: Ex-Manager Speaks Out: Britney Spears "Is on the Right Path"



Britney Spears' former manager Larry Rudolph confirms to Us that he has met the singer and says she's "doing great.

"I have spent time with her, and she is on the right path because she has people around her who really care about her well-being," Rudolph said.

He would not comment further, explaining, "this isn’t the time to talk business. This is a time for healing."

Last week, a source tells Us that Spears met with Rudolph, who is credited for discovering her and managing her career for 9 years. (They stopped talking last February after she blamed him for forcing her into rehab.)

"People close to Britney know that Larry is the best person for her," a friend of the Spears family told Us. "He's the man who can get her back on the right track career-wise."

Rudolph is currently producing the MTV show Rock the Cradle, which debuts April 3.

Idol Says Malu-Bye to Ramiele

Unfortunately, it didn't cross too many minds to vote for Ramiele Malubay this week.

The diminutive singer was eliminated from American Idol Wednesday after not quite connecting with her Dolly Parton song of choice on a performance show devoted to ditties penned by the country-music icon.

Though Paula Abdul said she was proud of Malubay after her solid yet unexciting take on "Do I Ever Cross Your Mind" and Randy Jackson "wasn't mad" at her afterward, the majority of the millions of votes cast were on behalf of the eight other contestants still in the running this season.

The super-cute 20-year-old from Miramar, Fla.—"Finally, someone my size!" Parton exclaimed when Malubay approached the piano during rehearsals—wept in fellow finalist Kristy Lee Cook's arms upon hearing the news.



Cook was there to lend comfort because she, too, was in the bottom three. She was joined by Brooke White, who was in the danger zone for the first time after trying her folksy hand at "Jolene," which sounded good but, according to Simon Cowell, was lacking emotion.

"I thought all of you looked very odd together as a group," the Brit noted, choosing to place a little blame on the band, as well.

Relieved to be out of the doghouse, meanwhile, were Syesha Mercado and Jason Castro, both bottom-feeders last week.

Mercado's decision to do "I Will Always Love You"—part of which proficiently echoed the simplicity of Parton's version while the other half failed to compare with Whitney Houston's modern-day classic—was a risk (Randy's never a fan of Whitney impersonators), but perhaps the song's recognition factor worked in her favor.

And Castro, strumming away, seemingly hit "Travelin' Thru" out of the park, turning in one of his richer vocals to date and capturing the message of the song. But Simon hated it.

"If this had been the first time I'd seen you or heard you, I wouldn't get it," he said Tuesday, losing his ticket to Dollywood in the process. But, luckily, it's the armchair critics Castro really has to impress, and he lives to grin another day.

On the flip side, the march to stardom continued for the fearsome foursome.

David Cook, who later in the evening would be rushed to the hospital to be treated for high blood pressure, rocked one of Parton's more contemporary tunes, the bluegrass-tinged "Little Sparrow" off of the 2001 album of the same name.

"If you can make a song about sparrows good, which actually you did, congratulations," opined Simon, always the country enthusiast. (As he did on Kenny Rogers night last season, the pop music aficionado found quite a lot to complain about Wednesday.)

And although he gave his fans a scare, Cook, who sources say was suffering from anxiety brought on by Idol pressures and family issues, ended up being just fine. A doctor at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center gave him medication to lower his blood pressure and the 25-year-old rocker was sent back to his hotel to rest up.

Cook was back onstage Wednesday, having little cause to worry after such a strong showing. "I'm cool, I'm not going anywhere," he told Ryan Seacrest.

Simon also took offense to Carly Smithson's wardrobe (or the person who dressed the lass, at least), telling her it was time to start looking like a star.

Well, at least she sounded like one while belting "Here You Come Again."

Next up was David Archuleta, who Simon said was "absolutely on the money" after singing "Smoky Mountain Memories," his version giving Parton all she could do to keep from crying during rehearsal.

And all was well for Michael Johns, who was rewarded for giving his best performance to date—a textured, soulful rendition of "It's All Wrong, But It's All Right"—by being the first contestant to be declared unequivocally safe.

Parton, who had nary a disparaging word for anyone this week, was on hand to perform the single "Jesus & Gravity" off of her new album, Backwoods Barbie.



Next week, no one will get the boot on Wednesday when the second annual Idol Gives Back charity extravaganza takes place.

While it turns out Ellen DeGeneres had to drop out of cohosting the event with Seacrest due to "production constraints," thesps ranging from Brad Pitt and Reese Witherspoon to Robin Williams and Billy Crystal are on board to participate either live or via video, and Idol alums such as Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry and Jordin Sparks are set to perform.

And then, after two weeks worth of votes have been tallied, someone's going to have to go on Thursday.

Nicole Richie Launches Maternity Line



A solo Nicole Richie continues to attend her group counseling sessions, one-on-one meetings and alcohol education classes in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

It was recently announced that the 26-year-old new mom would be starting a fashion-forward maternity line: “My line will be about making women look and feel good at a really emotional time. It’s about showing your best self, not your tired, worn-down self.”

Her inspiration for starting it? Balenciaga’s creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere.

“I wore so much Balenciaga during my pregnancy,” Nic revealed.

Britney Won't Return To 'How I Met Your Mother'



Contrary to reports, Britney Spears is not in talks to return to CBS' hit comedy “How I Met Your Mother,” Access Hollywood has learned.

Reports were circulating online, suggesting the pop singer was discussing another appearance on the show.

Last month, she played a slightly bonkers (and sexually charged receptionist) with a mega-crush on Ted (Josh Radnor).

Despite helping to propel the sitcom to their highest ratings in the show’s three-season history, she will not return to the program.

George Clooney Talks Being Held At Gunpoint In Sudan



George Clooney was mugged at gunpoint, according to a report out of Britain.

The star of “Leatherheads” told the men’s magazine Zoo, that during a trip to Africa, he was the victim of a traumatic robbery.

"It was in southern Sudan and as we were going through checkpoints,” Clooney reportedly told the magazine. “There were all these young kids with AK47's. They went through the car and just took what they wanted.”

Despite being held up with a machine gun, the always-affable Clooney downplayed the incident.

"We hid all the tapes and stuff, but they pointed guns at us and stole what they could. It happens all the time. They obviously didn't know who we were,” he reportedly said. “They don't have great TV out there.”

It is believed the incident occurred in 2006 while Clooney was making a trip to Sudan as part of his job as United Nations Messenger of Peace.

When contacted by Access Hollywood, a rep for Clooney was not immediately available for comment.

Dina & Ali Lohan Talk Real Life 'Mean Girls'



Dina Lohan has reservations about getting Lindsay’s little sister, Ali, into the show business limelight, Dina revealed in an exclusive interview with Access Hollywood guest correspondent Stacy London.

Ali and Dina will both star in the upcoming E! reality show, "Living Lohan," which will chronicle Dina working double-duty as mom and manager, helping Ali follow Lindsay's path to stardom.

However, Dina told Access Hollywood that she fears getting Ali into the show business limelight because of the tabloids.

"It's scary because I did it with Lindsay and got her to the level of success that she is at and with the tabloids… so with Ali now, it's scary…they are already making things up about her,” Dina told Access.

The Lohan matriarch added that 14-year-old Ali, who is about to record an album at the Palms Casino recording studio in Las Vegas, is very eager and excited about launching her career.

"She is talented and she wants to sing, act, and she was blessed with a gift… She calls Lindsay and tells Lindsay to yell at me because I am not taking her on enough auditions and things. I am like, 'Ali, calm down,’” Dina added.

Ali is currently being home schooled, but it was not solely career demands that led to that decision.

She opened up to Stacy about the real-life "mean girls" at her old school.

"They would say stuff [about] my sister…they start singing this song or something, just stupid stuff like that. It's just a few girls, they got suspended at school because they did a video on YouTube about me… just said stuff inappropriate, bad stuff that if I ever said my mom would kill me,” Ali revealed. "I was really shocked because I thought those girls were my friends, but obviously you can't trust anybody except your family."

Move Over Sanjaya! 'Idol' Crier Ashley Has A New Crush



Move over Sanjaya! "American Idol" has a new bonafide teen heartthrob, and it isn't David Archuleta.

It appears the boy making the girls cry this season — and in particular Ashley, the teen who rose to fame sobbing for Sanjaya Malakar last season — is none other than blue-eyed beauty Jason Castro.

Ashley has been back attending "Idol" tapings again this season and crying her eyes out to the dreadlocked pretty boy from Texas, according to People.

And it's not just Ashley who Jason has won over.

As Ryan Seacrest pointed out on last night's episode, Jason received a slew of postcards - all from the same unidentified girl, who isn't Ashley.

Ellen DeGeneres Will Not Co-Host 'Idol Gives Back'



Access Hollywood has learned that Ellen DeGeneres will not be co-hosting the "American Idol" charity event, "Idol Gives Back," this year.

An inside source tells Access the talk show host is backing out of the charity event due to an unforeseen production schedule that conflicts with her show. The show was scheduled to tape this coming Sunday, April 6th.

"Idol Gives Back" will include an impressive roster of talent including U2’s Bono, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Miley Cyrus, Mariah Carey, Eli and Peyton Manning, Fergie, Chris Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, Annie Lennox, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Maroon 5, Heart, Gloria Estefan, Celine Dion, Robin Williams, and "High School Musical" stars Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens.

This year, monies raised will go to the Children’s Defense Fund, The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Make It Right, Malaria No More, Save The Children, and the Children's Health Fund.

No word on a replacement host to join Ryan Seacrest for the charity special, set to air April 9 on Fox.

Jason Mraz Is Back



Jason Mraz has disclosed early details of his enormously anticipated new album, “We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.” The collection – Mraz’s first set of all-new material in nearly three years – will arrive in stores and at online retailers on May 13.

Martin Terefe, known for his work with KT Tunstall, Ron Sexsmith, and James Morrison, produced the San Diego-based troubadour’s third studio release.

The album sees Mraz continuing to tread his own distinctive artistic path, melding a variegated musical tapestry with passionate, personal lyricism.

Among the highlights are collaborations with British tunesmith James Morrison and singer/songwriter Colbie Caillat.

“I’m Yours,” the album’s first single, was chosen due to the undeniable fan response to the song. A demo version of “I’m Yours” originally appeared on a limited release bonus EP Mraz put out with his last album.

Today the song is an online sensation, with over 300 user-generated videos from more than 25 different countries now appearing on YouTube.

Always an active online presence, Mraz has kept his loyal fanbase abreast of his recent activities via a series of video blogs, dubbed “Crazy Man’s Ju-Ju.” The clips – along with a variety of other travel adventures, live performances, and studio sessions – can be accessed at “Jason Mraz TV,” the Official Jason Mraz YouTube channel.

“We Sing. We Dance. The EPs will feature unique versions of various album tracks recorded during special intimate sessions.

Jerry Seinfeld Escapes Death in Car Wreck



Jerry Seinfeld was unharmed after being involved in a rollover car wreck Saturday in East Hampton, New York.

The comedian, 53, was driving alone when the brakes on his 1967 Fiat BTM stopped working, the New York Post reports.

As his vehicle headed into traffic on the highway, he pulled the emergency brake, but it didn't work, the Post reports.

So he cut the wheel to the right and the two-door sedan flipped over and came to a stop yards from the highway.

The car rolled onto the passenger side, then the roof and finally topped on the driver's side, according to the Post.

Amazingly, Seinfeld — who is believed to own 47 Porsches — walked away "without a scratch," his wife Jessica said.

"He was a little shocked when he walked in, and it started to dawn on him what happened," she said.

The comedian is making light of the incident.

"Because I know there are kids out there, I want to make sure they all know that driving without braking is not something I recommend, unless you have professional clown training or a comedy background, as I do," he told the Post. "It is not something I plan to make a habit of."

Blythe Danner: Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin Aren’t Splitting



Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are happily married, thank you very much.

Paltrow’s mother, actress Blythe Danner, has slammed blog reports that the couple’s 4-year marriage is on the rocks.

“Good god, it's just so tragic that people have to make up stuff,” she told Us at the NYC screening of The Visitor on Tuesday. “I've never seen two happier parents — or people — so I don't get it.”

“She didn't set out to be a movie star — she set out to be a wonderful actress,” she adds. “But motherhood is very important to her, as it was to me, and I think she's finding balance.”

Heath Ledger's Uncle: Love Child Reports Are "Absolutely Berserk"



Reports that Heath Ledger fathered a love child have been blown out of proportion, the late actor's uncle Mike told Us in a telephone interview Wednesday.

How did the rumors start?
All my brother Haydn said was that anything is possible, and from there, it just went absolutely berserk. At the end of the day, our thoughts are with the little girl in question, and we’re not prepared to make any more comments at all.

So Haydn said something, and it was taken out of context?
Yes. Haydn was asked a question that wasn't’t directly related to the Heath issue: 'If someone was this age, could it be possible?' and Haydn said 'Anything is possible,' and that’s it. His statement was absolutely taken out of context. Absolutely.

So you and Haydn don’t know for a fact if Heath had another child or not?
No. It’s just a rumor! It’s been a rumor for a long while.

Did you and the rest of Heath’s family know about Heath having a girlfriend who was older?
There were rumors. He was a young, good-looking guy, and he attracted lots of women.

Do you know the woman in question?
No, and I’m not going to comment any further. I’m sorry. I really feel for the little girl that’s in the middle of this, and my thoughts are with her and her alone. The little girl is the most important thing in the whole thing.

Naomi Campbell Arrested in London



Naomi Campbell has been arrested for assaulting (spitting) a police officer at London's Heathrow airport.

According to TMZ.com, the model, who has completed anger management classes, was pulled of a British Airlines flight to Los Angeles after becoming irate when three of her carry-on bag came up missing.

London Metropolitan Police have so far refused to disclose Campbell's identity.

Renée Zellweger: I Don't Want Kids



Don’t expect Renée Zellweger to ever go on diaper duty.

The actress, 39, says she has no plans to have kids.

“Motherhood has never been an ambition,” she tells London’s The Times. “I never have expectations like, ‘When I’m 19 I’m going to do this, and by the time I’ve hit 25, I’m going to do that’.

"I just take things as they come, each day at a time, and if things happen, all well and good," she added. "I just want to be independent and be able to take care of myself. Anything else is just gravy.”

Zellweger refused to talk about her brief marriage to country singer Kenny Chesney, but she wasn’t secretive when it came to her reported romance with her Leatherheads director and co-star George Clooney (who was once held at gunpoint).

“I did see a recent magazine article in which George said that he and I had been girlfriend-boyfriend ‘a little bit’,” Zellweger says. “But what the hell is that? ‘A little bit?’ I’m not sure if I should be insulted or not!”

Zellweger — who says she maintains her svelte physique by running “every day” — insists his comments were misconstrued.

“I think he was asked if he liked me and said, ‘A little bit,’” she says. “Don’t you connect me with that man! I’d deny it until I die,” she jokes.

Adds Zellweger, “Actually, who the hell am I kidding? Scrap all that; do connect me with George Clooney. Connect me with him as much as possible!”

See What Britney Spears' Body Really Looks Like



Britney Spears shopped for jeans undeterred on Wednesday, the day OK! magazine featured a photo of the singer from 5 years ago on its cover to illustrate her current weight-loss.

The Huffington Post reports OK!'s cover image of a trim Spears is from a 2003 shoot for Glamour's Women of the Year issue, when the singer was 22-years-old.

"OK!'s cover photo choice paints an unrealistic picture of her comeback, which is a work in progress — and shows that the only way to 'Steal Brit's New Diet Secret,' as the cover screams, is to go back over 4 years in time," the report says.

But Spears' life is back on track, as Us Weekly reports in its latest issue, on newsstands now.

"She looked beautiful," an eyewitness at Paige Premium Denim in L.A. told Us.

Jessica Simpson Steps Out After Hospitalization



Jessica Simpson stepped out Wednesday for the first time since being hospitalized with a kidney infection.

The singer, 27, joined sister Ashlee, her boyfriend Pete Wentz and mom Tina for a lunch at El Torito in Encino, California.

"Jessica was walking very slowly with her hand on her back. You could see she was in a little bit of pain," an eyewitness told Us of Simpson, who wore sweats and Uggs. "She was dressed down and trying to stay low key."

During the lunch, "Jessica picked at a salad and didn't eat much — but she was in good spirits and was laughing very loudly with her sister," the witness added.

Simpson went home with her mom, who is staying with her while she recuperates, the source told Us.

Simpson was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center March 28. On Monday, her rep told Us she "has left the hospital and is doing fine."

Boyfriend Tony Romo, 27, did not join the group for lunch.

Report: Anne Hathaway's Boyfriend Was in Police Custody

Actress Anne Hathaway's boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri, was under police custody Thursday after allegedly bouncing a $250,000 check, TMZ reports.

Follieri, a real estate developer, apparently went willing to the NYPD and has since been released, according to the report.

"He went willing to a precinct – he was not brought by police — and he was not handcuffed," a source told Us. "This is a misunderstanding that his lawyers are already sorting out."

A Washington, D.C. court recently ordered Follieri to pay a public-relations firm $250,000 for work done on his behalf, TMZ reports.

In 2007, Follieri denied accusations by Ron Burkle that he squandered $1.3 million.

Whitney Responds to Bobby Brown's Tell-All Book



Bobby Brown is dishing on his rocky marriage to Whitney Houston in a new tell-all autobiography – but she's not letting his accusations affect her.

In this, the latest installment of the couple's long-running marital feud, Brown says of his ex, "I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney."

Details from the 39-year-old pop star's book, Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But, began surfacing Thursday in the New York Post. Before Whitney, Brown writes: "I had experimented with other drugs, but marijuana was my drug of choice."

Whitney's rep responded in a statement to PEOPLE: "Miss Houston is sad that Bobby feels he need to say such things but she choses to take the high road and will not speak badly about the father of her child even if it's to set the record straight."

After his 1992 marriage, the former Being Bobby Brown star says his dependence on narcotics spiraled out of control. "At one point in my life, I used drugs uncontrollably. I was using everything I could get my hands on, from cocaine to heroin, weed and cooked cocaine," he writes.

Brown also describes his 14-year marriage as "doomed from the very beginning." "I think we got married for all the wrong reasons," he says in the book. "Now, I realize Whitney had a different agenda than I did when we got married ... I believe her agenda was to clean up her image."

The couple, who have a 15-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, split in September 2006.

One potential stress on their union? Brown's now-admitted infidelity.

"Women are always throwing themselves at you," he writes. "I'm only human, so I would make the mistake and bite the hook sometimes. I let the testosterone take over."

Brown also claims to have dated Janet Jackson and Madonna before hooking up with Houston. Chapter titles from the book include "Whitney Houston – The Untold Truth," "The Press, More Problems, and Passion for Drugs," and "The Bad Boy Of Boston ... Straight From The Hood."

(Concert promoters and venue owners) Live Nation is throwing loads of money ’round these days!

According to the New York Times, a Live Nation/Jay Z deal worth approximately $150 million will be finalized this week!

First Live Nation signed Her Madgesty, then Bono and friends…now Hova.

Who knew the Nation had such deep pockets?

The deal with the soon-to-be groom includes financing for his own entertainment venture, in addition to recordings and tours for the next decade. It's reportedly the most expansive deal yet from Live Nation.

More so than Madonna?????

Basically, it looks like Live Nation wants to be the one stop shop for anything and everything Jay-Z. From clothing to concerts to albums - Live Nation is putting up shit loads of money to help Jay move his visions forward and in return LN gets a cut of all revenue generated.

Jay-Z is getting approx $60 million in upfront payments according to the report!!!! DAY-UM!

Jay-Z said Live Nation’s consolidated approach was in sync with the emerging potential “to reach the consumer in so many different ways right now.” He added, “Everyone’s trying to figure it out. I want to be on the front lines in that fight.”

Wonder if Jay is making Beyonce sign a pre-nup????

Canadian April Lavigne stunned concertgoers at her Montreal show on Wednesday night and boy oh boy…some Perezious readers are quite pissed off at the pop tart.

Why????

She offended the proud Montrealites because she doesn't know her Canadian geography.

Quick geography refresher for us non-Canadians before we go on… Montreal is a city in the Canadian province of Quebec.

During last night's concert, April declared, "I love you Montreal, I'm so happy to be back home…in ONTARIO (another province!), CANADA!

If she was American we're sure Montreal would be a little forgiving. But April is Canadian!

The American equivalent to April's dufus statement this evening would be something like, "I love you New York City! I'm so happy to be back home in Massachusetts!"

Lohan F'ing Things Up



Looks like there's a chance that La Lohan's new album might not be released on time this year cause she's supposedly being really lame.

Reports are that the 'recovering' addict isn't being cooperative with scheduling and has already canceled important meetings with uberproducer Timbaland.

According to an insider, "(Her record label) Universal is trying to make her new album a success by lining up great producing talents, and, recently, they even hooked Timbaland. But Lindsay has canceled their planned meetings twice," says the snitch.

This album needs to happen! We need new material to mock!

And, if Ali Lohan knows what's good for her, she will cooerce big sis into doing a duet on the album.

Magnum McConogay



When they run out of original scripts, they resort to taking ideas from television.

Universal Pictures is making an adaption of the '80s TV show Magnum P.I., which starred the perpetually mustached Tom Selleck.

Selleck played a detective with a Navy Seal background. And set to take his place in the movie version is?

Matthew McConaughey!

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that McConaughey was offered the role of Thomas Magnum.

McConagay is said to be reading the script from the movie's writer and director, Rowson Thurber, who also worked on Dodgeball.

Mateo should be deciding shortly if he will be confirming the role.

A Career Resurrection???

On Tuesday night, Tom cruise attended an industry screening of Tropic Thunder from Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks.

In the film, he portrays a “bald, hairy-chested, foulmouthed, dirty-dancing movie mogul of the kind who is only too happy to throw an actor to the wolves when his popularity cools.”

He may have a little experience with that! Wink wink.

In a self-referential move, Cruise was mocking his 2006 dismissal by Viacom chairman Sumner Redstone from his Paramount production deal.

Tommy Boy's role was very well received at the screening. And the irony of him now being in a Paramount film was not lost on the audience.

Cruise needs for this to be a hit.

Ashton Kutcher Likes to Spread ‘Em



Ashton Kutcher films a scene from his upcoming film, Spread in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Spread is a sex comedy centered on a serial womanizer (Ashton) and his jilted lover.

Ashton is also set to executive produce a BBC comedy retooled for the American market. The ABC network has ordered a pilot episode of Roman’s Empire, to be co-produced by Britain’s Tiger Aspect and Ashton’s production company Katalyst.

Currently working on High School Musical 3, Ashley Tisdale has had her hands full with various projects, including producing a second album. She spoke to TVGuide.com about High School Musical, her previous television experiences, and her campaign with Degree Girl deodorant. Here are some of the highlights of the interview:

On High School Musical and her scariest and most exhilirating moments. “I think every single moment with High School Musical was nerve-racking and exciting as well. It was a whole snowball effect, starting with the ratings themselves, and then going into the Billboard charts and getting a Billboard Award for the No. 1 album of the year. Every single moment of High School Musical was an OMG moment. It’s been a crazy ride.”

On what we can expect from her character in High School Musical 3. “I don’t know much, because I haven’t read the script yet! But I have recorded the songs, so I do know a little bit about it. It is senior year, so there’s going to be graduation and prom, but I can’t spill much else.”

On the songs and music of High School Musical 3. “All the music is great. They’re much bigger productions this time — they’re huge — so it’s going to be really exciting.”

In an Extra interview, Ashley also commented on possible cameos. “I would love for Johnny Depp to be in it. He did say in an interview that his kids love High School Musical and he wouldn’t mind doing a cameo. We should really jump on that one.”

Candice Crawford: Chace is Doing ‘Okay’ After Breakup



Gossip Girl hunk Chace Crawford recently split with American Idol champ Carrie Underwood and his unofficial spokesperson (his sister!) Candice has once again opened up about her pretty boy brother.

(Candice seems to have a big mouth. She was the one to speak on the record about her brother officially dating. Chace and Carrie never spoke publicly about their relationship.)

“He’s doing okay through this whole ordeal,” Candice tells People. “He was upset about the breakup. It’s always hard when you lose a relationship. Chace will get through it. We love Carrie, too. They’re dolls and they’ll both do well.”

On April 11, Candice will compete in the Miss USA Pageant at Las Vegas Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in front of celebrity guest judges Heather Mills, Joey Fatone, Rob Schneider and Project Runway winner Christian Siriano.

“The whole family (including Chace) will be there rooting for me,” said Candice, a.k.a. Miss Missouri. “My mom made T-shirts and little pins for everyone.”

Megan Fox Returns to Jennifer’s Body



Transformers hottie Megan Fox comes back to Vancouver where she will continue shooting the film Jennifer’s Body.

Jennifer’s Body is written by Diablo Cody, who also wrote the Oscar-winning Juno. Megan Fox, 21, plays a cheerleader with a perfect life who becomes the girl from hell when she gets possessed and begins killing boys in a small town. Her best friend (Amanda Seyfried) must then find a way to stop her.

According to a source named Diablo Fan, who has read the script, it is described as ‘Napoleon Dynamite meets The Exorcist.’

Michelle Trachtenberg: Gossip Girl’s New Queen of Mean?

Recession? What recession? There's no penny-pinching in the Beckham household, if Victoria's latest shopping spree is anything to go by. Credit card in one hand, mobile phone in the other, Posh toured the boutiques of Los Angeles before breaking for lunch with husband David. She then hit the shops again with a pal, looking chic in a check pencil skirt and Louboutin stilettos. There was one nod to the credit crunch when Posh, 33, visited some second-hand clothing stores — but these were vintage specialists, and she was snapped at a till clutching an item with a £1,200 price tag.

Hey, if you got it -- spend it. I'm just glad that she ditched those awful bell-bottom jeans she was wearing in London ... I much prefer it when VB dresses like a stenographer rather than a hippie chick.

The Temple of Doom

Co-stars Jenna Malone and Shawn Ashmore were joined by Kevin Zegers, Ben Stiller and more at the Hollywood premiere of their new movie The Ruins which was held at the Arclight Theater here in LA last night. The Ruins is based on the novel which, according to the IMDB, tells the story of "a group of friends whose leisurely Mexican holiday takes a turn for the worse when they, along with a fellow tourist embark on a remote archaeological dig in the jungle, where something evil lives among the ruins." Woot! I read this book when it was released last year (on the recommendation by Entertainment Weekly) and I really enjoyed it. As far as "horror" novels go, I don't tend to get scared by things that I read (save for the occasional Stephen King book) but there were some portions of this story that really creeped me the hell out. I have high hopes that the movie version will be able to adequately translate that creepiness onto the big screen. To be honest, it could go either way ... while I enjoyed the book very much, I can also see how a story like this might come across very cheesy in movie form. That being said, I still plan on seeing this movie, hopefully this weekend with David here in LA. I do suggest that all y'all read the book ... even if you decide to skip this movie, the book is worth the time. Here's hoping the movie doesn't ruin the book

OMG, Suri Cruise Emerges! Yay!

Suri Cruise has been found! Okay, that's a bit dramatic, but we've been waiting since January to see her sweet face and here she finally is. While you may not have been on the edge of your seat curious about her whereabouts, you have to admit that she's pret-ty adorable out at the park with daddy Tom in LA last Tuesday. I suppose we can stop wondering about the little munchkin, but hopefully we won't have to wait too long to see her again. Fingers crossed that means a glimpse at her fabulous upcoming second birthday party. Usher's Album to be Released Sooner Than Planned



Due to popular demand, the release date for USHER's new album, Here I Stand, has been moved up from June to May 27, according to Billboard magazine.

The album's first single, "Love In This Club," is heating up the charts and is currently No. 2 on Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart.

This is Usher's first album since 2004's Confessions, which sold a whopping 9.5 million copies.

Molly Ringwald Takes TV Role



MOLLY RINGWALD is back! The former 'Breakfast Club' and 'Sixteen Candles' sweetheart is all grown up and will star in a new TV show as the mother of a teenager (SHAILENE WOODLEY, who has been featured in "Crossing Jordan" and "The O.C.") who is dealing with an unexpected pregnancy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The new untitled pilot from "7th Heaven" writer BRENDA HAMPTON will also star JOHN SCHNEIDER and ERNIE HUDSON and air on ABC Family in the fall.

Now 40 years old, former '80s teen queen Ringwald has spent much of her adult career on the stage, appearing on Broadway in Cabaret and Enchanted April, in a national tour of Sweet Charity and Off-Broadway in a variety of plays.
