Miley Cyrus leaves her tongue out wagging while performing a two-song set for the American Idol special, Idol Gives Back, at the Kodak Theatre on Sunday in Hollywood.

Strangely enough, the 15-year-old Hannah Montana star has never watched American Idol!!

“I’ve never seen a single episode… Ever,” Miley said. “I think it’s something you have to really get into from the beginning and I just don’t have time!”

Jennifer Love Hewitt Hobbled But Happy



Jennifer Love Hewitt walks with her cousin and is all smiles even though she had to walk in a supportive walking boot in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Jennifer, 29, and her cousin dropped by her mom’s place to pick up a plate of home-cooked food, which by the looks of it appeared to be tacos!

After spraining her ankle while shooting the Ghost Whisperer, Jennifer had to be placed in the boot and will probably be out of action for about ten days.

Jennifer said of the accident, “I was chasing after a ghost and the ghost won.”

Gavin and Kingston Rossdale Love Music



Gwen Stefani’s husband Gavin Rossdale takes their son Kingston Rossdale to the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles on Sunday for some father and son bonding time.

Kingston, 22-months-old, started dancing to a folk singer playing a banjo in the park.

Gavin and Kingston gave the musician a dollar bill, and but then Kingston tried to grab a fistful of cash from the money box!

Young Hollywood’s most in-demand actress Ellen Page takes the May 2008 cover of Teen Vogue. Here’s what she had to say on how life is now and what to expect of her career:

On life being surreal: “The Barbara Walters interview, the Academy luncheon, meeting Sissy Spacek— there have been all these moments that it’s really hard to wrap my head around. To be recognized with these women that I have so much respect for, it feels wrong, in a way. I’m insanely grateful, but its just like, ‘Really? Are you sure?’”

On staying grounded: “I absolutely adore acting. But I also know that this is a fragile industry, and I don’t want to attach my happiness to it. I still think about going to school, to study psychology or art history. I couldn’t do it now, of course. I think it’s a matter of the grass is always greener… (pauses) Not that I don’t think that the grass I’m on right now is completely green. It is.”

On focusing on the more tangible side effects of her success: “From this point on,” she says, “it’s just about looking at all these new opportunities. It’s cool to be able to try a whole bunch of things.”

On what to expect of her post-Juno career: “People expect me to do some kind of gritty look-at-me-I’m-such-an-actor thing, but that would have felt contrived.”

The 33-year-old singer, who’s currently engaged to Las Vegas hottie Josh Duhamel, performed with Ann Wilson (lead singer and flute player of Heart ) and Ann’s younger sister, guitarist Nancy Wilson. She also performs another song with John Legend.

Fergie Ferg’s performance will air on this Wednesday, April 9 @ 7:30-10:00 PM ET/PT on FOX. During her song, Fergie does some sort of one-handed cartwheel/flip. Hope that it makes the final cut!

George Clooney: I Am Not the Godfather



George Clooney is denying reports he will be the godfather to his pal Brad Pitt’s fifth child with Angelina Jolie.

Recently, Clooney reportedly joked to paparazzi outside a Los Angeles restaurant that he had been asked by the celebrity couple to be godfather to their child.

Clooney’s rep made a clarification and said that the Leatherheads star was only joking. “He was just having a joke,” said the rep.

Leatherheads made around $13.5 million in ticket sales in its opening weekend, failing to meet expectations of $16 million set by the studio.

Ali Larter Gets Lucky Again



Heroes star Ali Larter is on the cover of Lucky Magazine once again (she was on the March 2007 cover) in its May 2008 issue. Here’s what she had to say fashion-wise:

Orlando Bloom is the Prince of Persia



Orlando Bloom has landed the lead role in the next big budget franchise, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, according to recent reports.

Orly, 31, will rake in a reported $40 million for all three pictures. The first pic will be directed by Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Donnie Brasco). June 2009 is the tentative release date and filming will start in Morocco.

If this is any measure of success, Bloom certainly knows how to make a successful threesome. Pirates of the Caribbean, anyone?

Bravo Is Sew Screwed! Project Runway Moves To Lifetime

Shocking Project Runway news ... The New York Post is reporting that megahit TV show Project Runway will be moving to the Lifetime TV network (yes, Lifetime) next season due to a huge spat between the Weinstein Company (who produces the show) and Bravo TV (the network that used to air the show). I'm sure we can expect this matter to make its way to court before the show actually makes its move but at this point, according to The NYP, Lifetime has acquired the rights to air this hugely successful show:



A courtroom catwalk cat-fight erupted today when Bravo abruptly has lost control of its biggest hit - "Project Runway" - which will now begin airing on arch-rival, Lifetime, in November. The change of venue appears to be the result of a deal gone sour between the show's producers, the Weinstein Company and Bravo. The move also appears to have caught Bravo executives by surprise. As news of the network shift spread today, Bravo owner NBC Universal slapped the Weinstein Company with a lawsuit in New York State Supreme Court aiming to block the new deal. Weinstein officials said that NBC had filed the suit after "declining to compete for the right to have 'Project Runway'..." and the legal action was simply, NBC trying to "disrupt the series moving to Lifetime." "We believe this lawsuit is without merit," Weinstein council, David Boies said in a statement. "While good for the market for lawyers, it is always unfortunate when parties try to win in court what they lost in the marketplace."

Speaking to Variety, Andrea Wong, president of Lifetime, had this to say about the new deal:

"'Project Runway' is one of the best television programs on the air today on broadcast or cable. I am a huge fan. All my friends are huge fans. Having watercooler movies, dramas, and reality shows like 'Project Runway' is what Lifetime Television is all about. We welcome The Weinstein Company, Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn to the Lifetime family for many walks down the runway to come."

LOL ... what she prolly really meant to say was:

"OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG WE GOT PROJECT RUNWAY! OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG"

And the Weinstein company has this to say about their new network:

"[H]aving Lifetime's unique cable reach will ensure that the show will continue to grow and expand in the years to come. Lifetime is one of the strongest cable networks in the industry, with great leadership and a true commitment to original programming. We are very excited for the many new opportunities that will now be provided to 'Runway' and its fans and look forward to premiering the sixth season in November 2008.

Apparently, Bravo will still air season 5 of Project Runway ... but that will happen in July ... Lifetime is planning to air its first season of PR in November. This means there will be 3 seasons of Project Runway airing in this year alone. Wow! What a huge boon for Lifetime! They prolly thought Your Mama Can't Dance would be their biggest hit this year (closely followed by endless reruns of The Golden Girls) ... it looks like Lifetime's stock has just gone up significantly. Bravo really dropped the ball on this one ... they prolly thought they could play hardball with the Weinstein's and just learned a horrible lesson. No word on what this development means for the look and feel of the show overall but if Lifetime is smart, they won't change a thing. This is sew huge.

Now, I really love me some Jake and it's not that I don't love to see Jake's behind but this has to be the dumbest pap-evading trick that I've ever seen. If it weren't for the photos, I wouldn't even believe it if someone told me about it. LOL. I think Jake should start carrying a purse (perhaps something in an Hermès) so that he can hide behind it when he's out and about with Reese ... I understand that makes celebs disappear from sight altogether.

Tom Cruise's Valkyrie Release Delayed Again



The release date of Tom Cruise's Valkyrie has been pushed back again, Variety reports.

Originally slated for a June release, and then an October release, the action film set during World War II will now hit theaters for President's Day weekend.

When it opens on February 13, 2009, Valkyrie will compete with Confessions of a Shopaholic and Pink Panther 2.

In the film, Cruise (who's married to Katie Holmes, 16 years his junior) stars as Colonel Claus Graf Schenk von Stauffenberg, the leader of the unsuccessful attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler in July 1944 with a bomb hidden in a briefcase.

Britney and Her Boys Still Day-Tripping





Britney Spears shouldn't go planning any slumber parties just yet.

While the time she's spent with her two children over the past month has seemingly proved beneficial to all parties involved, overnight visits with Sean Preston and Jayden James are still a ways off, according to Kevin Federline's resident legal eagle, Mark Vincent Kaplan.

The attorney told E! News Monday that the monitored visits between Spears and her sons "have been nothing out of the norm," but that "there has to be consistency over time.

"I don't think 30 or 40 days is the magic number," Kaplan said.

After nearly two months of separation, Spears' visitation privileges were restored Feb. 22—after her father, Jamie Spears, and his attorneys reached a deal with K-Fed's camp—and she saw them the following day for the first time since Jan. 3, when she was briefly hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center following a custody-fueled standoff with police at her Beverly Hills home.

Kaplan continues to credit Jamie Spears' newfound presence in his daughter's life for this noticeably more amiable state of affairs.

"All we know is that since Jamie Spears has been involved it has been a very stabilizing force," he said.

The elder Spears has been serving as coconservator of the pop star's estate since Feb. 1, when she was admitted to UCLA Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation. Jamie and a court-approved psychiatrist are required to be present when Spears spends time with her sons.

Kaplan said that the next custody-related hearing is expected to take place in May, and he's still anticipating a trial, in preparation of which he has deposed a number of Spears' friends and associates, including off-again, on-again manager Larry Rudolph.

Regardless of what anyone says about him, it's still Federline's intention to do the right thing for his children, the lawyer said.

"The goal is to have a stabilizing and consistent order for the kids," Kaplan said. "His hope is that would involve the participation in a substantial way by their mother."

Federline has had primary custody of Sean and Jayden since October, when Spears was stripped of her 50-50 deal after a court commissioner determined she had violated numerous directives, including his orders that she make herself available for random drug testing and acquire proper insurance and a California license before getting behind the wheel with her kids in the car.

Ya gotta hand it to Drew Barrymore for turning a paparazzi moment into a charitable effort.

The starlet and her beau, Justin Long, were leaving Tom Whitman’s weekly Size party at gay bar Here last night in West Hollywood when they found themselves being filmed by some paps.

Barrymore was quick on her feet and announced into the camera, “If anyone is watching...give to the World Food Programme. Fifty cents makes a difference.” (In May, Barrymore was named Ambassador Against Hunger for WFP, an organization that fed 19.4 million children in 71 countries in 2006 through its school feeding programs.)

Barrymore’s plea for charitable help came after a night of rubbing elbows with her gay fans and some wacky dance moves. At one point, Barrymore and Long created a spectacle dancing to Britney’s "Piece of Me" when he lifted her high into the air. Lemme tell ya, Long was just one bad step from flippin' Barrymore onto her pretty little head.

Cameron Diaz got back to work with Abigail Breslin on the set of My Sister's Keeper in LA on Friday, but her love life is definitely more exciting these days. Maggie in Detroit: What have you heard about Project Runway moving to Lifetime?
According to excellent inside sources, it's a simple matter of cold hard cash. It seems Lifetime offered more money than NBC/Bravo offered for seasons 5-10 of Project Runway, so the producers (the Weinstein Company) felt they were free to jump ship to Lifetime. NBC/Bravo believes they legally retain the right to counteroffer before Runway can leave. The Weinsteins are saying that ain't so, no dice, see ya! But therein lies the terms of the lawsuit in normal-people-speak.

Robert in Calabasas, Calif.: Are you going to report on The Real World this season?
Sure will. Especially since this crop of seven strangers is situated in my 'hood: Hollywood! The 20th edition—I can't believe it either—premieres April 16, and I'm hearing the cast will be working at Improv Olympics (also known as iO) and learning all about performing comedy in front of live crowds. By the way, iO is the home of Kate Flannery's (Meredith from The Office) monthly Lampshades show and boasts alumni such as Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, so this should be interesting...

Yay! Another convert! It'll be back this summer, most likely premiering in July. As for storyline stuff, show runner Matt Weiner is notoriously tight-lipped, but I asked him at Paley's TV Fest what we would learn in season two, and he told me, "[We'll learn] it's hard to be good—and now that we know all this stuff about Don—you're made of many people." Mmm...kay. Also, there was something with the James Bond movie You Only Live Twice, and if you can figure out what that has to do with our Men, I salute you.

Terry in Chattanooga, Tn.: Thanks for all the Army Wives season-two news, Kristin, but what about all the guys that were deployed in the finale? Are we ever going to see them again?
Absolutely. According to co-EP Marshall Persinger, "We have too many great actors to not use them—they're all so cute. These soldiers are going to come in and out, because that's the way it is. One of our characters, Chase (Jeremy Davidson), who is married to Pamela, is Delta Force, and those guys are in and out. Typically, in the army, you can be deployed for up to 15 months, but Denise's husband, Frank Sherwood (Terry Serpico), he's a major, and he's more available to go in and out. And Roxy's Trevor (Drew Fuller), whom everyone adores—we can't not see Trevor! So yes, we're also gonna see these guys in Iraq. Food Bank NYC unfortunately has seen a sharp drop in food donations over the past year: “We have less food in our warehouse. Harrison Ford: Calista Best Mother in the World



After nearly 20 years, Harrison Ford is returning to the role of Indiana Jones. But at home, he's reprising a part he played earlier in his 65 years: father.

Being a parent again, the leading man tells Reader's Digest for its May issue, has "made me just a bit less self-centered."

The actor's companion since 2002, Calista Flockhart, 43, adopted the youngster in Ford's life, son Liam, in 2001.

"She's brought a child back into my home," Ford says of Flockhart. "My youngest, other than Liam, is 17. It's a wonderful opportunity to be part of a child's growing up, which is always an endless springtime. You see the blossoming and the growing and the nurturing and the payoff."

Ford, who was PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive in 1998, also has four older children – Benjamin, 40, and Willard, 39, his two sons with first wife Mary Marquard (to whom Ford was married from 1964 to 1979), and a boy and a girl with his second wife, E.T. screenwriter Melissa Mathison (to whom he was wed from 1983-2004): Malcolm, 21, and Georgia, 17.

Simon Cowell Donates Paycheck to Idol Gives Back



While Simon Cowell isn’t known for being generous with his praise, he puts his money where his mouth is when it comes to charity. The American Idol judge is donating a day’s pay to Idol Gives Back, PEOPLE has confirmed.

After traveling to Africa and touring sites in the US last year as part of the inaugural Idol Gives Back campaign, “Simon saw first-hand children in extremely impoverished conditions,” a source close to Cowell says. “He donated his paycheck then and he had no hesitation in donating his paycheck again this year.”

Charities receiving donations as part of this year’s Idol Gives Back include: The Children’s Defense Fund, Children’s Health Fund, The Global Fund, Make It Right, Malaria No More, and Save the Children.

Yesterday, a source close to Idol host Ryan Seacrest revealed to PEOPLE that he, too, was donating a day’s pay, saying, “When he and Simon went to Africa last year and saw the children, it was really life-altering for him.”

Toni Braxton Hospitalized for Chest Pains



Grammy-winning singer Toni Braxton is in "good condition" after being admitted to a Las Vegas hospital for chest pains Monday night, says a spokeswoman for a hotel-casino where the singer has been performing.

The singer, 40, is expected to be released from the St. Rose Dominican Hospital on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Flamingo Hotel-Casino rep. She has been headlining her live show "Toni Braxton: Revealed" five days a week at the Flamingo since 2006.

The singer has spoken in public about her heart condition, pericarditis, an inflammation of the sac surrounding the heart.

"I found out about five or four years ago" the artist told PEOPLE in February. "I've also been diagnosed with hypertension."

This year, Braxton became a spokesperson for the American Heart Association.

She was not scheduled to perform Sunday or Monday night. Tuesday's show has been canceled to give the singer time to recover.

"We wish Toni a quick recovery and would like her to take the time she needs to regain optimal health," said president of Flamingo Las Vegas, Don Marrandino. "We are looking forward to her return at the end of the week."

Calls to Braxton's publicist have not been returned.

Angelina Jolie was radiant as she awarded her friend, journalist Mariane Pearl, with the Fern Holland Award Monday night at the Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards gala in Washington, D.C.

Jolie, who played Pearl in the film version of her book A Mighty Heart, spoke of Pearl's special gift as a mother and called her an example of "courage, hope and tolerance," reports the Washington Post.

Pearl, the wife of slain reporter Daniel Pearl, called Jolie "a sister" during her acceptance speech, and the two spent the day together, as their kids – Maddox, Pax and Adam – played.

On Tuesday, Jolie participated in a Council on Foreign Relations event in Washington D.C. The event was to help launch Jolie's new venture, the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, which will focus on the work of prominent charity organizations as well as tell the stories of the children in need.

Nearly a year after their blow-up, Rosie O’Donnell is still sore at Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

“I tried my best but it’s hard for me when I’m not the boss,” O’Donnell, 46, said on The Martha Stewart Show Tuesday, reflecting on her experience on The View. “There was people there telling me what to do. There was a little Republican who scared me.”

Patrick Swayze 'Thrilled' by His Response to Cancer Treatment



Patrick Swayze has had an "excellent" response to treatment for pancreatic cancer, the actor and his doctor said Tuesday.

"We're thrilled and grateful for the positive response Patrick has shown towards his treatment," the Dirty Dancing star and wife Lisa Niemi tell PEOPLE.

"Also, we can't help but feel that all the prayers, meditations and good thoughts sent his way by everyone has made a difference. Thank you!" said the couple.

His physician, Dr. George Fisher, added: "Patrick Swayze continues to respond well to his treatment for pancreatic cancer. Because of his excellent response, he will continue the same therapy at Stanford."

Swayze, 55, announced last month he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, one of the most serious of the cancers. He has been undergoing chemotherapy but not radiation treatment, according to his rep.

He supposedly helped Em's mama put together that 'tell all' book and is suing mad because after all the work he did on her behalf, she cut him out of the deal!

The ex-agent claims that he "came up with the idea of Nelson writing a book about being the mother of Eminem." He also asserts that he's entitled to 25% of her earnings in the suit.

Em is probably a little happy that his mom is on the receiving end of a suit. Remember that time when Em's mom sued him?!

More Legal Trouble for Lindsay



She better get a new endorsement deal soon (her acting career's pretty washed up), cuz she's got some new legal bills to pay!

La Lohan is being sued by a former bodyguard, David Kim, Perez has learned.

He claims Lindz owes him more than $55,000 for services ranging from protecting her from fans and the paparazzi to obtaining her VIP tables for clubs and concerts.

Kim filed the suit Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging fraud, intentional infliction of emotional distress, breach of oral contract and various state Labor Code violations.

The court papers reveal Kim was hired by Lohan and her production company, Crossheart Productions, in October 2006 at a rate of $4,000 a week for 24-hour service and $2,0 per week for evening-only work.

Damn, he's one expensive bodyguard.

Lawyers are more expensive, though. Hope Lindsay's got good ones!

The Catholic PRIEST (David Ajemian) accused of stalking funny man Conan O'Brien has plead guilty to disorderly conduct.

Prosecutors say Ajemian began sending letters to O'Brien in September 2006. He was also arrested in New York City last year while trying to enter a taping of Conan's show, despite being warned to stay away by NBC security personnel.

The priest and O'Brien apparently attended Harvard University at the same time, but it's unclear whether the two crossed paths on the Ivy League campus.

Former Saturday Night Live star, Rachel Dratch, is feeling the pain of not finding any work.

Ever since Dratch left SNL, her career has not been the same. She was even subsequently replaced on shitcom 30 Rock, which was supposed to be a starring vehicle for her!

When asked what she's been up to at a recent screening of Smart People, she responded, “Maybe you can tell me. I know you’re supposed to come up with fake stuff you’re doing. But honestly, I’m not doing much.”

Ouch!

And to keep her down even more, last month's issue of Vanity Fair listed its cover story of women in comedy. It featured a dozen of the top female comedians, however, it did not include Dratch.

Her reaction, she said, was, “Dude, that was a dark day. I was like, 'Oh, there’s everyone I worked with.' It’s starting to get old. I’m starting to go crazy. I’m ready for a job.”

As for her next gig, she's not picky at all it seems. “I’d work in a black-box theater company at this point. I’d work with George W.”

According to reports, Petey was taken to lock down from West London Magistrates' Court following a 30 minute hearing Tuesday afternoon.

If you have tickets to his April 26th London show, don't worry. His record company said the show will be rescheduled and all tickets will be valid for the new date once it has been announced.

But anybody who buys tickets to see Pete Doherty in concert knows damn well to expect him to NOT show up!

Is 14 weeks enough time for Doperty in jail, though????

Dictator President Hugo Chavez has ordered that The Simpsons TV show be removed from all broadcasting in Venezuela.

Why?????

The animated program was deemed "unsuitable for children."

Apparently, the show was on the verge of breaching the "Law of Social Responsibility in Radio and Television."

The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) said The Simpsons pushed “messages that go against the whole education of boys, girls and adolescents”.

The show will no longer appear in its 11:00am time slot. Instead, the government has opted for a more "educational" show.

BAYWATCH!!!!!

They're playing BAYWATCH over THE SIMPSONS, because apparently Bart and Lisa are just too hazardous for kids to watch!

As of today, the NTC has yet to explain how a cartoon show is more of a threat to children than almost naked ladies, wet from head to toe, in extra tight bathing suits.

Elba Guillen, a spokesperson for Televen TV station, said “It had to be taken off. The government considers it to be a series that isn’t appropriate for that time because it isn’t appropriate for children.”

OMG!!! And Baywatch at 11am is appropriate for children???

The manager of Televen, Perez Nahim, said “We are hoping it will continue to have a good rating, because The Simpsons worked very well - so much so that it had the highest levels of viewership for that morning ti######ble in the history of the channel."

Yea, that makes sense, remove the highest watched cartoon show on the network.

The National Enquirer is reporting that Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are on the verge of breaking up.

They've supposedly been in a 'break up-make up' cycle for months. Nick is apparently sick of Minnillo pressuring him to put a ring on her finger and give her babies, among other things.

We think that's what she wanted from the first moment they hooked up!

Vanessa's career post-TRL has gone NOWHERE. Girlfriend's become all sorts of desperate!

The Enquirer goes on to report that their issues were "on public display" at the end of last month at LA's popular celeb hangout, Katsuya. According to an eyewitness, they “sat in stone silence for more than 30 minutes after having what appeared to be an argument. As they left that night, Vanessa was in tears sitting next to Nick who was gripping the steering wheel of the car.”

Another source wouldn't be shocked if "Nick is sick of her." At a birthday bash for basketball star Baron Davis, Vanessa “had a good bit to drink, and she turned into a bitchy high school drama queen.” The source goes on to say that 'Nessa was totally rude to some people and then flirted with a bunch of athletes, hung all over other guys, rude to fans who wanted her autograph and spent half the evening sneering at other female guests.

Sounds like someone was trying to get her boyfriend jealous. Grow up!

Disney Channel Worldwide chief Rich Ross confirmed Tuesday afternoon that the channel is already starting work on High School Musical 4!

HSM 3 hasn't even hit the big screen yet!! It's not even done filming!

HSM 4 is currently being worked up as a TV movie, but that could change, according to the channel head.

They split up three months ago but "never stopped loving each other" according to an insider.

Where'd The Docs Go?



Why you gotta be so cruel, Clooney????

As we mentioned earlier, E.R. is going off the air next year after its 15th season.

However, according to reports, all the docs won't be back full time for the final season.

Maura Tierney (Dr. Abby Lockhart) will exit after a few episodes, and Goran Visnjic (Dr. Lockhart's love, Luka Kovac) also will leave the show early next season.

Mekhi Phifer has not yet signed a new contract, although castmates John Stamos, Parminder Nagra and Linda Cardellini will be back.

E.R. returns Tuesday night for six spring episodes. However, there's some good news for the abbreviated season! The Sopranos' Aida Turturro and Oscar nominee Hal Holbrook are set to guest star.

NBC plans 19 finale episodes next season, repeat-free, with the last bow taking place in late February.
