Daniel Craig Has Flashbacks of a Fool



Daniel Craig and his piercing blue eyes heat up the red carpet at the premiere of Flashbacks of a Fool at the Empire Cinema, Leicester Square on Sunday in London, England.

Craig, 40, was accompanied by longtime girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell.

In the film, the 007 actor stars as Joe Scot, an fading British actor who having had a good run in Hollywood but is now on his way out. Scot looks back at the days of his youth as he returns home from his best friend’s funeral.

“He has failed as a human being, and I wanted to explore that,” Craig told reporters at the premiere. “I think you have to work hard at not becoming disillusioned about what you do for a living. If you have any success in what you do for a living, you have to maintain an energy and love of it. If you can, that’s a great thing.”

Flashbacks of a Fool opens in the UK on Friday, April 18. No US release date has been set yet.

Pete Wentz: Pregnancy Rumors a 'Witch Hunt'



Pete Wentz is addressing rumors that fiancée Ashlee Simpson is pregnant, calling it a "witch hunt" in an email.

"There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood," he wrote to MTV News Monday. "This is all news to me. I can't wait for the story about how I'm really in a gay relationship and this is all just a cover ... I mean really, this is crazy ... I mean we're engaged, that's true, and happy about it."

When asked about the pregnancy, reported by multiple outlets Monday, a rep for the couple would only say, "We are thrilled to confirm their engagement and congratulate this happy couple. Beyond that there is nothing to add."

The singer, 23, and Wenz, 28, the bassist for Fall Out Boy announced their engagement on April 9. Simpson's father, Joe, told PEOPLE he was "totally happy" and "so excited to have Pete as part of [our] family."

Lindsay Lohan's BFF Weekend with Samantha Ronson



Girls just wanna have fun – and Lindsay Lohan is no exception.

The 21-year-old actress – who was sued last week by a former bodyguard – spent the weekend hitting the hottest clubs in L.A. with her good pal, DJ Samantha Ronson.

The duo got a jumpstart on the weekend Thursday night, when they hit the upstairs VIP area of Goa. Lohan (who has said she's "back on track" after her stints in rehab) bopped to the music as Ronson spun in the DJ booth. "Lohan was obviously having a good time, dancing very sexy," says an onlooker. "She was quite the center of attention."

The next night, it was all about Foxtail: Lohan sat at a table near the dance floor nursing a bottle of Voss water while Ronson worked the room saying hello to friends. Later, they snuck a few cigarettes at their indoor table.

And finally, to round out their weekend, they hit Teddy's at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Saturday.

Ronson headed back to the DJ booth while Lohan – in a black tank dress and black boots – chatted with friends at a nearby table. The actress kept things low-key, but perked up noticeably when Ronson spun Madonna and Justin Timberlake's new single, "4 Minutes." Later, during Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body," Ronson threw her arms around Lohan as the two moved to the music.

Kate Hudson: I'm Ready for Another Baby



When it comes to dating, Kate Hudson wants to get in touch with her inner teenager.

"I need to find that 18-year-old in me again, who was way more adventurous when it came to kissing boys," she told the U.K.'s Sunday Times. "I would love nothing more than to have a good, honest make out sesh, but I find it really hard because I'm a mom."

Hudson split from Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson in 2006, but their marriage produced their 4-year-old son Ryder.

"Any guy I ever meet is always going to come second to my son," the Fool's Gold star, 28, told the paper. "And you get to weed out the boys from the men. You definitely know which ones are the boys."

So far, it seems Owen Wilson has made the cut. The duo – who split last summer but are now back on-again – were even spotted on an Easter-day bike ride with Ryder.

"I'm a mom and that's my first priority," said Hudson. "I can't wait to have more. I'm at that place when I'm ready to have another one and Chris and I are not together. I'm like, 'Oh no! Uh-oh! I'm ready.' "

Source: Cops Seek Child-Endangerment Charge for Richie Sambora



Police have recommended to prosecutors that Richie Sambora be charged with DUI and child endangerment – both as misdemeanors – stemming from his March 25 arrest, says a source close to the case.

Last week, Laguna Beach Police handed over the case to the Orange County Calif. District Attorney's Office, which has not announced any formal charges yet.

"Because the case is under review, I can't discuss the details," DA spokeswoman Farrah Emami told PEOPLE. "Ultimately, we have to base our decision on the available evidence."

If Sambora is formally charged with both misdemeanors, a jail sentence is likely, legal experts say.

"Assuming Sambora was driving with over a .08 blood-alcohol level with a passenger under 14 in the car, he's looking at probable jail time," says veteran DUI lawyer Lawrence Taylor, who's not involved with the case. "But it's possible this can be plea bargained to a lesser offense, and/or he could get rehab in lieu of jail."

Sambora, 48, was arrested in Laguna Beach last month after police spotted him driving unsteadily in a Hummer. In the car was Sambora's girlfriend, Jenn Mallini, his daughter, Ava, 10 (whose mother is Sambora's ex-wife Heather Locklear), and her teenage cousin.

Since the incident, the Bon Jovi guitarist appears to be partying responsibly. Sambora was seen in Las Vegas over the weekend at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino with a group of friends, where he drank only water, following the band's sold-out show at the MGM Grand.

"He was in really good spirits, having a really good time," said one onlooker. "He seemed happy and content."

Last year was a difficult one for the musician: In June, Sambora entered a treatment facility. In addition, he and Denise Richards broke up after dating for about a year. And last April, his divorce from Locklear was finalized while that same month, his father died of lung cancer.

Sambora's tentative arraignment is set for May 7.

His rep had no immediate comment.

Rihanna Shocked (Shocked!) by Jay-Z & Beyoncé's Wedding



Like many of Jay-Z and Beyoncé Knowles's friends and colleagues, Rihanna had no idea about the happy couple's hush-hush nuptials last week.

"I didn't know!" Rihanna told PEOPLE at the Escada Moon Sparkle/Island Def Jam benefit for her Believe Foundation and DKMS, the world's largest bone marrow donor center. "No one knew!"

(Although the wedding has not been officially confirmed, sources tell PEOPLE the ceremony did take place April 4 and Knowles has been spotted wearing a huge ring.)

Among those in the audience at Manhattan's Highland Ballroom were L.A. Reid and Rihanna's "friend" Chris Brown. "Chris said it was a good show," the 20-year-old said of her rumored beau. "He really enjoyed it."

After the show, Rihanna met with several young bone marrow transplant patients. "You are so beautiful," she told 15-year-old Camila Mera.

David Cook’s Ailing Brother Will Attend Idol Shows



American Idol contestant David Cook will have a very special guest in the audience Tuesday and Wednesday night — his brother Adam Cook. Adam, 36, is suffering from brain cancer.

A FOX spokesperson declined to comment, however a source close to the show confirms to PEOPLE that Adam will indeed be at the studio when his brother and the other top six Idol contestants perform songs from Mariah Carey’s catalogue.

Doctors initially told Adam, who lives Indiana, his condition was too delicate for him to fly commercially. But as news spread of Adam’s health and sadness over not being able to see David perform, friends rallied and were able to get him and his wife a chartered medical jet (and medical staff), as well as a hotel room during his trip.

According to a report from the Terre Haute News, Adam’s doctors gave him the go ahead to fly to Los Angeles with his wife, Kendra, to see David perform. The Board of Directors at Clarian Health in Indianapolis are paying for the medic, nurse and Leer jet transportation while a local Terre Haute radio station is paying for the Cooks’ hotel stay.

Kendra Cook told the paper that the week prior to learning about the trip, her husband had been in bed and not feeling well for “several days in a row,” but after learning of the trip, he seemed to be feeling better.

“The excitement of seeing his spirits lifted so high has been wonderful,” she said.

But PEOPLE has this sneak-peek photo of the elaborate ceremony in Palm Beach in which Donald Trump's ex-wife wed for the fourth time Saturday, marrying Italian model-actor Rossano Rubicondi before 500 friends and family members.

One of those guests, former Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous host Robin Leach, also got permission to snap a few photos at a pre-wedding fete the day before.

His pictures, posted on his Web site, show the ever-tanned George Hamilton; Paris Hilton's parents, Rick and Kathy; and the former Mrs. Sylvester Stallone, Brigitte Nielsen, who with the others listened to the theme from her ex-husband's movie Rocky blare as the groom made his entrance at the ceremony.

At the wedding itself, a helicopter drowned out the wedding vows at the poolside ceremony conducted by Judge Maryanne Trump Barry, Donald's sister, Leach reports.

But it couldn't drown out Neil Sedaka once he took to the piano. In the gold and white Grand Ballroom at Trump's Mar-a-lago estate (the same locale The Donald married Melania in 2004), the singer played a romantic rendition of his song, You, serenading the couple at the wedding dinner that consisted of stone crab, lobster crepes, rack of lamb and Chilean sea bass. After the feast, guests danced until 2 a.m.

Despite the tough loss, David tried to remain as optimistic as possible. “Three games into the season we can’t panic too much, though we’re disappointed today, people are starting to panic too much.”

Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony baptized their healthy boy and girl twins, Max and Emme, at a church in Long Island, NY, just miles from their Brookville home.

According to In Touch, the intimate ceremony, attended by only their closest friends and family members, was followed by a reception at Jennifer and Marc’s estate.

J.Lo gave birth to Max and Emme about seven weeks ago–on February 22.

Last week, Jon M. Chu, the director of Step Up 2 and actor/choreographer Adam Sevani challenged Miley and back-up dancer Mandy Jirouex to an online dance contest!

Milez with a Z and Manderz with a Z most definitely took on the challenge and enlisted the help of director Cole Walliser, choreographer Teresa Espinosa, actor/dancer couple Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan and a slew of breakdancers. (Channing was in the original movie, Step Up.) Miley even gets her grandmother (the one with the awesome hair!!) to help out with some fancy footwork.

The raven-haired Hilary has been raising eyebrows among her faithful fans as new footage from her latest movie War, Inc. has made its way to the Interweb. By now you've, no doubt, seen the infamous You Tube clip where Hilary drops a scorpion inside the front of her pants and then asks a man to "get it out" for her (ie. he shoves his hand into the front of her pants to fish out the scorpion from her crotch region). Yes folks, our little Hilary Duff has grown up a bit over the years. It's unclear how this new "grown up" Hilary will be perceived by her fans but I don't really think her new movie is really geared towards the Lizzie McGuire fanclub. She still looks innocent enough on this magazine cover ... tho we have no idea what she may have stuffed into her pants for the covershoot.

Vicki B. Gets Dumped

Apparently Vicki B. has worn out her welcome here in the US in just under a year from her arrival to our fair country. Upscale boutiques Fred Segal and Kitson have decided to pull her dVb denim line from their stores due to poor sales and a total lack of promotion for the product on her part. Er, this news can't be good for her plans to become a huge fashion mogul:



Victoria Beckham's fashion range is being dumped from American shops following poor sales. Fred Segal and Kitson have dropped Posh Spice's DVB denim range, with the latter blaming Beckham's reluctance to promote them a key factor. Kitson's owner Fraser Ross explains to the News Of The World, "We asked her PR people so many times for her to appear but she didn't. Celebrity lines are no different from an album or music tour. They have to be promoted to sell."

I couldn't find any info on how her clothing line is doing in the rest of the world but it seems that the dVb lifestyle just isn't taking off here in the States. I'm sure the stores would be able to sell a few more pairs of jeans if VB did come in to do some in person promotion but I don't think that even doing that will save the line. This is really bad news. I am really counting on Vicki B. finding success as a fashion designer ... that would be the only way to ensure that she stays away from making music again.

The Downward Spiral

The official Nine Inch Nails website was updated this weekend with photos of the hardcopy discs of their latest online-only release Ghosts I-IV (my copy arrived in the mail this weekend as well) and some new information on how NIN plans to handle their online presence. Previously, fan club members of The Spiral were allowed access to concert presales, exclusive content, etc. for a fee ... according to the latest update, those same amenities will be available for all NIN fans for free starting next month. Here is a pic of what the Ghosts I-IV discs look like (possibly in the hands of Trent Reznor) and a photo of the latest incarnation of Nine Inch Nails plotting their next move:



We have been busy preparing a much-improved online experience for nin.com, which we will begin to unveil next month. The new nin.com will incorporate much of the interactivity and benefits presently offered on The Spiral, but a paid membership will no longer be required. On the one hand, I think it's really great of NIN to offer all of the same amenities to all NIN fans free of charge ... but as a Spiral member myself, I do feel a bit slighted by the fact that our online community is now going to be given away for free when we previously had to pay for it. It makes sense tho ... Trent has found great success with bringing his music directly to the fans without having to deal with a record label middleman ... so why wouldn't he also want to make the entire NIN online fan experience available to all fans alike -- for free. I'm encouraged by this new concept of giving things away for free ... as long as the music and the access keeps comin' there really is no cause for complaint.

Iron Man Premieres Down Under

Robert Downey, Jr. was joined by his director and friend Jon Favreau along with folks like Naomi Watts and Liev Shrieber for the Sydney premiere of the big screen adaptation of Iron Man which took place today in OZ (which works out to be last night for those of us on this side of the planet) ... here are a few pics from the premiere's red carpet:

Iron Man leading lady Gwyneth Paltrow was otherwise occupied back in London so she wasn't able to attend the premiere but there were enough awesome Aussies in attendance to make for a fun premiere. I am SO excited for the release of this movie. It seems like ages ago that we first heard that Iron Man went into production and now we are less than a month away from its release. While I have to say that Batman: The Dark Knight is my #1 must-see movie of the year, I would prolly put Iron Man at #2. From everything I've seen of the movie thus far, it looks like it's going to be really fun and really over-the-top. The movie opens on May 2 here in the US, I've already made my plans to be in the theater on opening weekend ... and by the time that David reads this post, he'll know he's got opening weekend plans, too. Woot!!

Michael Lohan to Reopen Divorce Case Against Wife



They're at it again!

Michael Lohan says he plans to reopen his divorce against his ex-wife Dina, claiming that she has made it "hard as hell" for him to see their three children.

"I gave her the family house, all the furniture and the $200,000 she owed me just so that I could see my kids and have a relationship with them," Michael tells New York's Daily News.

He says Lindsay's grandparents also haven't seen their granddaughter "even though my father is dying, and my mother was in a car accident on Easter.

"[Dina] told me, 'It's up to the kids if they want to see their grandparents,'" he adds. "But she's made no effort to put them in touch or make this happen."

Michael also says Dina's upcoming E! reality show was — gasp! – his idea.

"It's the exact same show I pitched," he claims. "She even used my title."

On Monday, Michael released a statement to Usmagazine.com, insisting that "Lindsay has NOTHING to do with me opening my divorce case or any other suits that are being filed against Dina."

He said that "Dina uses people, gets what she wants and then turns her back on them or claims the ideas were hers all along. She thinks the law doesn't apply to her or her family since they always get away with things and use Lindsay's name to do it."

What It Was Like Being Ashton Kutcher's Twin



It was Ashton to the rescue, his twin brother, Michael Kutcher, says of their childhood in the cornfields of Iowa.

Diagnosed at birth with cerebral palsy, Michael tells the new issue of Details, "there was a lot of teasing, a lot of the normal mean stuff."

Adds Michael (who still lives in Iowa, selling retirement plans), "I was the kid with the big Coke-bottle glasses, the hearing aid."

Even Ashton admits "a big part of my life [was] kind of looking out for my twin."

The experience helped give the actor an "understanding of what it's like to be the other guy," his pal and business partner, Jason Goldberg, says. "That's a big strength of his."

Ashton says his life is also shaped by his wife Demi Moore.

After dating Brittany Murphy and January Jones, Ashton says Moore "was the first person who would call me on my s--t.

"She didn't need me," he adds. "She straight up didn't need me. She wanted me, but she didn't need me, so she could put it on the line."

Ashton says he quickly got over any issues he had with her close relationship with her ex, Bruce Willis.

"You walk into a relationship and there's always jealousies, like, 'Oh, the other guy'... and, in this case, the other guy is Bruce Willis!

"But my wife's a smart individual, one of the smartest people I know," he says. "If she likes and respects this person, then I think I can get over my jealousy."

The actor and Punk'd producer also downplays the role of Kabbalah in his life, even though Moore is a famous follower.

"I'll use whatever works," Ashton says. "I'm not a follower of this or that religious leader. More wars are started because of religious leaders, and people are following and they don’t know why... That is religiosity. That is
what turns people into robots."

Mariah Carey: I Fit Into My High School Jeans



Mariah Carey, who frequently describes herself as "eternally 12," told Oprah Winfrey she can now wear her high school wardrobe.

"My jean size went down to my 10th grade size," the 38-year-old revealed Monday.

"I got tired to people telling me, 'You need to lose weight,'" she said. "It inspired me."

"For me, it's not about a number on a scale," she added. "It's not about necessarily even a size. It's about feeling good and being comfortable in your own skin. Right now, I feel really great. I feel better than I've ever felt."

With the help of a diet and nutrition guru, the singer has maintained a very strict diet that limits foods cooked in butter.

Her most coveted indulgence? Mac and cheese.

"It broke my heart... That's the thing that I have difficulty letting go of because that's comfort food," Carey said. "So basically I'm uncomfortable."

Carey – who just celebrated her 18th No. 1 single – has also credited her personal trainer for her new physique.

"I don't know why everyone thinks I lost 30 pounds," she told Allure. "This trainer has actually helped me reshape my arms. That's where I gained most of my weight: upper body. That's just one thing you have to lose weight for."

Paris Takes Her Self Promotion to New Heights

In addition to endorsing her line of hair extensions at the 41st Cosmoprof Fair in Bologna, Paris Hilton proudly wore her name on her chest (in hot pink, no less) and casually sipped on her own canned prosecco. It's a rare day that Paris doesn't make her presence known, but now she's going to have to work overtime. Apparently Mischa Barton is about to join her as a fellow groupie girlfriend, following around her own boyfriend whose band Rooney is opening for Good Charlotte. While Ashlee and her rep have stayed mum on the subject, Pete deny deny denied the baby story so I guess all the congrats we have to hand out for now is the upcoming wedding. Jessica was happy to gush about her little sister's new engagement and now is right by her side through this. Posh and the boys were joined by their new BFFs, the Beckinsale-Wiseman clan, to watch David play on Sunday afternoon. Not only are the parents becoming fast friends, but it looks like fellow 9-year-olds Brooklyn and Lily are bonding too. It was a disappointing afternoon for Becks, and it turns out that he's not the only member of the family experiencing some career trouble stateside. Some LA stores, including Kitson and Fred Segal, are going to stop carrying Victoria's DvB Jeans because she's not doing enough instore promotions. Hopefully all this bad luck in the US won't send the Beckhams packing back to England, but having fellow UK native Beckinsale as a good girlfriend might be encouragement to stay.

"CSI" Causes Cancer??



Wait, so kids shouldn't play with asbestos?

A lawsuit filed in L.A. County Superior Court says that kids who bought the CSI Fingerprint Examination Kit exposed themselves to dangerously high levels of one of the most lethal forms of asbestos through the fingerprinting powder inside. The toymaker, Planet Toys, actually put a "stop sale" on the kit back in December, but still won't acknowledge that the powder is asbestos-riddled, even though an independent test showed that it was.

The suit seeks unspecified damages. Planet Toys' lawyers couldn't be reached for comment.

UPDATE: A spokesperson for CBS Consumer Products stated, "We have not been served, so we can not comment on the specifics of the suit. However, independent tests commissioned by Planet Toys and major toy retailers revealed no levels of asbestos in the CSI Fingerprint Kits. Nevertheless, out of an abundance of caution, three months ago we demanded that Planet Toys issue an immediate recall of the product as well as the CSI Field Kit, which also contains fingerprint powders. In addition, we have ended our agreement with Planet Toys for both products."

Rowling just told a New York courtroom -- with a totally straight face -- that her suit against ex-librarian Steven Vander Ark has "decimated" her ability to work on her next novel, which isn't about Harry. This from a woman who in the last ten years has pounded out literally millions of words over thousands of pages.

When asked about how she felt about her beloved Harry Potter (um, he's not real), she said she had to stop herself from crying -- because she's British and that's just not what Brits do. Maybe it's because she just realized that her sugar daddy -- that's Harry -- is gone, gone, gone.

Heath's No Joke as Face of Batman Flick



It looks like there won't be any shying away from Heath Ledger as the main attraction in the upcoming Batman movie.

The Daily Telegraph in Australia reports that chilling images of the late Ledger as the Joker are a prominent part of the promo package for "The Dark Knight," slated for release in July. Amongst the snaps is one with Ledger dressed in a nurse's uniform and surgical mask and pointing a gun right into the camera.

In another one, he's "creepily peering" through a window with the phrase "Why So Serious" scrawled in blood.


Paris, Kim K, Amy Fisher ... Marilyn Monroe?



As long as there've been sex symbols, there have been sex tapes – and it appears that the original bombshell herself, Marilyn Monroe, may have one of her own.

The New York Post reports that MM hums along quite nicely during the 15-minute tape, shot on 16 mm, with an unidentified man. The tape was just bought by a New York businessman for $1.5 million, according to the memorabilia collector who brokered its purchase.

The Feds apparently had the tape for years, but a copy has been floating around for years. Joe DiMaggio may have offered $25K for the flick, in which Marilyn is "instantly" recognizable from her, er, mole.


Rowling to Fan – Stop Hogwarting My Stuff!



Get your pointy-hatted head around this: A guy creates a "Harry Potter" fan site, J.K. Rowling loves it – then turns around and sues the guy when he tries to make a buck or two off his creation.

That's exactly what'll transpire today in U.S. District Court in New York, when Rowling takes on Steven Vander Ark, charging that he's stealing her material for his book, the "Harry Potter Lexicon." The book is based on a website of the same name, which Rowling apparently loves.

Rowling has a net worth of approximately $1 billion.

Ashlee Simpson is pregnant and plans to get married next month at a private residence in Southern California, a source close to her family tells PEOPLE.

Simpson, 23, is engaged to Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, 28, who initially blasted pregnancy rumors as a "witch hunt."

But on Tuesday, Simpson, sidestepped the rumors during an interview with MTV after taping TRL in New York, saying simply, "Some things you want to keep personal."

And now the source tells PEOPLE that not only is Simpson pregnant, but that she's planning to have her wedding in May at a friend's house in La Jolla, Calif., north of San Diego.

Ashlee Simpson Calls Pregnancy Question "Inappropriate"



Ashlee Simpson refused to answer questions about her pregnancy Tuesday on MTV’s TRL.

"I just think it's an inappropriate question to ask any woman,” she said.

“For me, that's something that I didn't ever want to respond to, because I think it's an inappropriate question," Simpson said.

"Some things, you want to keep personal," she added, "and I think that when people deny [reports], it's probably because it's something they want to keep personal."

Us was the first to report Monday that the singer, 23, and her new fiancé, Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, were expecting their first child.

(After the news broke, Wentz told MTV News, "There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood ... I mean really, this is crazy.)

Simpson was equally mum when it came to her recent engagement.

“That's all so sacred, I need to keep that to myself," she said. "But he did a great job at picking out the ring," which she said is being resized.

She said she and Wentz decided to announce their engagement themselves because “it was important for us.

"There was a story coming out and people ... always write untrue things, and we wanted to let our fans know from us."

Fiancée Stands By Carmelo Anthony After DUI Bust



Basketball star Carmelo Anthony and his fiancée LaLa Vazquez are speaking out to PEOPLE about his DUI arrest – denying Internet reports she was unsupportive and wouldn't pick him up from the police station.

"I want to make sure the public understands that I fully support my fiancé, Carmelo Anthony, and stand by him through this ordeal," Vazquez, a former MTV veejay, says in a statement to PEOPLE on Tuesday. "I will always have his back and never refused to pick him up from the police station. In fact, they offered to bring him to me."

Anthony was arrested early Monday morning near downtown Denver, hours after leading his Denver Nuggets to victory over the Houston Rockets.

The NBA star reiterated his love for Vazquez in his own statement to PEOPLE: "LaLa continues to be a rock in my life, she's always been there for me through thick and thin."

The couple have a child together, 1-year-old son Kiyan.

Rob Lowe's Employees Defend the Actor



Current and former employees of Rob Lowe have come to the actor's defense against sexual harassment claims made by his former nanny, Jessica Gibson.

Lowe's estate manager, Carol Andrade, defended the actor in a written declaration provided to Lowe's legal team and obtained by PEOPLE: "Jessica never told me ... that Rob ever said or did anything that she found inappropriate or offensive or that made her feel uncomfortable ... or made sexual advances toward her."

Andrade said she has supervised the nannies, chefs, drivers and housekeepers for Lowe, 44, and his wife, Sheryl, 46, for the last year and a half.

On Monday, Gibson, 24, filed a lawsuit in a Santa Barbara, Calif. court claiming the actor repeatedly exposed himself and inappropriately touched her, along with other harassment allegations against Sheryl.

Andrade was one of a group of current and former staffers who provided declarations to Lowe's legal team. Having worked with the Lowes in other capacities off and on for about 12 years, Andrade explained that Gibson voluntarily quit her nanny position twice over the last few years, but returned to the Lowes "on good terms."

"She told me both times that she left because she was getting burned out with the job," Andrade stated.

Another Lowe Staffer Speaks Out
In another declaration, Jennifer Dynof, president of Lowe Profile, a company owned by Lowe, also stated that she'd never witnessed any questionable behavior by Lowe.

"[In the past four years working for Rob], I have never seen him make any sexual advances toward any other woman or act inappropriately, offensively or disrespectfully toward any woman," Dynof stated.

Both employees added they would testify in court if need be.

On April 7, Lowe preemptively filed lawsuits against Gibson and two other former employees, accusing them of violating confidentiality agreements and spreading alleged lies.

A deposition for the Lowes has been set for May 19.

Paris Hilton's Parents: Benji Already Like Family



Last week Paris Hilton took to the Web to announce her loving feelings for boyfriend Benji Madden – and now her parents are gushing the same sentiments.

They also have given him the green light to join the clan, says the socialite's mother.

"This has honestly become the real thing," Kathy Hilton, 49, tells Vegas Luxe Life blog. "It's a great love match, and I have a funny feeling it's going to go all the way, and we've already given it our approval."

Added husband Rick Hilton, 52, about the Good Charlotte rocker: "He's the perfect example of 'don't judge a book by its cover.' He's polite, well mannered – even calls me sir. We love him like family already."

Paris, 27, and Benji, 29, returned to the U.S. after a month of touring Europe and South Africa with Madden's band. Since getting together in February, the couple have rarely left each other's sides and wear rings on their engagement fingers of the other's initials.

"Their life has never been better," Kathy Hilton tells Robin Leach, who wrote the Vegas Luxe Life blog. "We agree with Paris that he is an amazing guy... He's changed her life, and I really think she's genuinely in love for the first time."

Ashlee Simpson Dodges Pregnancy Question at MTV

Earlier in the day, when asked about her engagement ring while at JFK airport, Simpson told Extra: "It's getting sized. You'll see it soon. It's pretty."

She would not elaborate on how Wentz asked for her hand, telling MTV, "That's all so sacred, I need to keep that to myself."

Simpson, 23, is promoting her new album Bittersweet World, due out April 22. She is also scheduled to perform on the Today show Friday.

In her current single, "Touch My Body," Mariah Carey jokes about a secret, romantic rendezvous. But is the pop singer having a real one?

Carey's rep denied to PEOPLE last week that the singer and actor Nick Cannon are dating, but the duo looked cozy at a party Monday night in Las Vegas.

After landing by private jet, the pair headed straight to Privé Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood, where Cannon, who stars in one of Carey's videos, was scheduled to deejay. Making their way to a VIP table, the pop diva whispered into Cannon's ear just before he took to the turntables.

With her BFF Da Brat by her side, Carey – wearing over-sized sunglasses and dressed in all-black – danced to the music as she sipped water and white wine, then feasted on hamburgers, chicken fingers and French fries. And for dessert? A chocolate cake for Da Brat, who was celebrating her 34th birthday.

"We have a very special person in the house tonight," Cannon called out on the microphone. "Happy birthday, Brat."

He also seemed to give Carey a "secret" shout-out. Carey stood up on the back of the booth and raised her wine glass when Cannon put on Jay-Z's "Public Service Announcement" and sang along with the lyrics, "I got the hottest chick in the game."

Jenna Bush Talks About Her Wedding Plans



For those not among the 200 friends and family members invited to the Crawford, Texas, ranch for next month's wedding of first daughter Jenna Bush to fiancé Henry Hager, the bride-to-be is providing a brief preview.

"I was raised in Texas and it just felt right," Bush, 26, said of holding the festivities in the Lone Star State rather than the White House, according to The Washington Post, citing the upcoming issue of Vogue.

"It means a lot to Henry and me to be outdoors," she's quoted as saying. "We wanted something organic and low key."

Bush does say that the Executive Mansion initially was a consideration. But then, "That's not really my personality. There's a glamour to it, I know, but Henry and I are far less glamorous than the White House."

Given Texas temps that time of year, the May 10 event will not commence until 7:30 p.m. – after the sun goes down. Dinner and dancing underneath a tent are to follow.

The bride's twin sister, Barbara, will serve as maid of honor and the single bridesmaid.

The Wedding Dress
Also on hand: 14 attendants, to be dressed in short chiffon green, blue, yellow and lavender dresses by native Texas designer Lela Rose, whose wedding collection, launched in fall 2006, is described on her Web site as "a pairing of unconventional fabrics and techniques that are trademarks of the designer."

More traditional is the choice of designer for the bridal gown itself: Oscar de la Renta, who has been a favorite of presidential wives for several administrations. This may explain why President Bush joked last month: "I had to face some very difficult spending decisions and I've had to conduct sensitive diplomacy. That's called planning for a wedding."

Laura Bush wore a de la Renta gown at the 2005 inaugural ball, as well as other creations by him for various formal occasions, and she and Jenna were seen visiting the New York designer's showroom in February.

But the so-described "major traditionalist" in the group appears to be groom-to-be Hager – who reportedly plans to adhere to superstition and not gaze upon his future wife's dress (not even in sketches or photos) until she meets him at the altar.

The 29-year-old Australian-turned-Atlantan has been contacted by Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban and even Dolly Parton, telling him how sad they were to see him leave the show.

Michael said last Friday, “I hadn’t been in the bottom three, and I thought the last two to three weeks have been my strongest. But we’re in the competition and stuff can happen.”

Heidi Montag is Riled Up to Register



After rapping for Nelly, Heidi Montag leaves MTV TRL Studios in Times Square, New York City on Monday.

Earlier this month, Heidi, 21, declared her support for John McCain, but had not yet registered to vote.

But she recently told MTV News, “I am definitely registering to vote. I’ve just been so busy and crazy filming and working on my album and working on my fashion show that I’ve hardly had any time,” she said at the Heidiwood fashion show.

Heidi also shared about her aspiring movie career. “The perfect movie I want to do is like [Jennifer Garner’s character] Sydney Bristow on Alias. I want to be, like, an action star. I want a big gun,” she laughed. “Like Angelina Jolie roles. I want to be the badass.”

She also turned down doing a movie for The Hills: “I’ve never discussed a movie possibility for The Hills…and I’m not sure if for my first movie I’d let Lauren Conrad narrate me, so I don’t think that would be something I would do. If I was doing movies, I’d want it to be with Denzel Washington or something like that. If they were to make a Hills movie, I wouldn’t be in it. No, thank you.”
