Dopey Stings Sting

Keep her away from the dark side!

Sting's teenaged daughter, Coco, is reportedly getting quite cozy with junkie god Pete Doherty.

Shambolic Dopey was spotted lying down in Coco's tent at the Glastonbury music fest recently.

Needless to say, Sting went ape shit when he heard the news, sources report.

Apparently, Pete and Coco's friendship is 'blossoming' after they met at a Soho jazz bar in London.

Pete's supposedly helping her develop her songwriting and guitar skills.

Why take advice from a drug-addled loser?

We don't get it. His songs aren't even as good as Winehouse's!

Looks like Sting's daughter rebelling to us!

Coco, whatever you do, don't share his needle or…f### him.

God knows what you'd contract.

Grrrosss.

I'm Still That Into You, Drew

I hate starting off the day with sad news, but Drew Barrymore and Justin Long have split, which should make their "He's Just Not That Into You" promotional duties next year all the more enjoyable!

Drew is hands down one of my favorite celebrities in Hollywood since I find her to be so warm and bubbly and kind. I've been keenly aware of every step in her life thanks to my younger sister, who has been obsessed with Drew since she first saw "Poison Ivy" (should I be worried about that?) and has read "Little Girl Lost," Drew's autobiography, approximately 100 times.

People.com reminded me that Drew had recently said in the March issue of Vogue, "my cheeks hurt, I'm so happy." Seriously, celebrities, stop talking about anyone but your long-time spouse in the press, it just sucks when you break up to see it rehashed, everywhere.

But as everyone knows, the only thing bigger than a convention of Drew's exes is her heart, so I am sure she will find someone new to let in whenever she's ready.

Aiden Shaw To Be Your Valentine

For some reason I can't see John Corbett without thinking of "Sex and the City" and I can't see Nia Vardalos without thinking of John Corbett, so it works out perfectly that the former "My Big, Fat Greek Wedding" co-stars are filming another movie, in New York City. Well, in Brooklyn, but same diff.

This time around their movie is called "I Hate Valentine's Day" and will inevitably open on Feb. 14, capitalizing on all the people (read: me!) who would typically spend the day listening to Alanis Morissette and eating their feelings.

But I for one am just happy to see John Corbett working again because there was absolutely no reason what-so-ever he wasn't in the "Sex and the City" movie! What's up with that?!? Where's Aiden, Carrie? Taking care of his adorable son, Tater, sure, but couldn't you have walked by him on the street or something? Come on!

Footnote: Apparently John Corbett falls into the category of actors whose full name must be said every time you say refer to them. John Corbett.

Holly Marie Combs Is Coming Back To TV!

OMG you guys, I am so geeking out so hard right now and I am not afraid to share it. Holly Marie Combs is coming back to television and I am about to piddle myself with excitement. I was (shocker!) a huge "Charmed" fan and despite all the drama about Shannon Doherty feuding with Alyssa Milano, and Rose McGowan getting hordes of attention, Holly Marie was the show's constant. Keeping the ship afloat through cast changes increasingly absurd plots for eight seasons!

Even in the face of "Charmed's" stupid storylines or often laughable CGI, Holly Marie always broke my heart with her performances that bordered on being too good for the show. So, anyway, enough gushing about the past -- let's talk about the future.

Piper, I mean, Holly Marie will star in "Mistresses," a new series on Lifetime that revolves around a group of women who have been friends since college. HMC plays Jane, one of the friends who gave up her career to be a stay-at-home mom ... and practice magic! OK, I made up that last part, but part of me wonders if I will always be waiting for Jane to freeze time whenever she waves her hands.

Check out Lifetime getting into the game! First they steal "Project Runway," then they swipe one of my favorite actresses - what's next, actually getting me to tune in?

Dress Like Marty McFly

A hoverboard, those insta-Pizza Hut pizzas and self-lacing sneakers. Those are the three things I always wanted from "Back to the Future Part II" and now I can actually have one of them. Almost.

Yes, despite a friend from 7th grade's unwavering claims that hoverboards were real, I'm actually talking about the shoes. It seems that Nike has actually created a limited number, 350 to be exact, of Marty McFly's Hyperdunk shoes from the movie.

The high tops have become an instant collector's item and are selling for up to $2K on Ebay, perhaps linked to Kobe Bryant's in-store appearance promoting the line - he supposedly rolled up in a Delorean! Nice.

Not only are the shoes fantastic replicas, that unfortunately don't self-tie, but the packaging features Doc's signature catch-phrase "Great Scott!" and the tongues of the shoes are emblazoned with the trilogy's insignia.

All in all, a pretty necessary part of any true "Back to the Future" fans' collection. Now, let's get back to the hoverboards.

Maggie Gyllenhaal Hates Fiancé's Love Scenes

Maggie Gyllenhaal is cool with onscreen nudity – so long as she's the one in the buff and not her actor-fiancé, Peter Sarsgaard.

"I hate it when Peter does a love scene," the actress, 30, admits in the August issue of Britain's Tatler. "He's very understanding – it doesn't seem to bother him [when I do one]."

She'd like to keep it that way. "I'd hate it [if he was doing it]," she says. "I'd put up with it, I'd understand, but I wouldn't like it."

Gyllenhaal's breakout role was in the raunchy black comedy Secretary, n which she acted out a full frontal nude scene, something she won't necessarily be making a habit of.

"After Secretary, people knew that I'd get naked, but I won't get naked for anything – only if it makes sense," she says.

Obviously happy in her own skin, the actress went on to act out steamy love scenes in Sherrybaby and even posed up for the British-based lingerie designer, Agent Provocateur, just six months after giving birth to her and Sarsgaard's daughter Ramona, born October 2006.

Loves Role as Mom
And the actress, soon to be seen as Batman's love interest in the much-anticipated The Dark Knight, couldn't be happier in her real-life role as Ramona's mom.

"Motherhood is incredible," gushes the actress. "It's brought me to my knees in an incredible way - it's so humbling."

And are the engaged, Brooklyn-based couple, soon to be walking down the aisle? "At some point in the next 20," she responds casually.

Amy Winehouse Accused of Attacking a Man in Pub

As the sentencing of her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, nears, Amy Winehouse has been accused of lashing out at a stranger – for the third time in two weeks.

In the most recent altercation, she reportedly punched a fellow drinker at Camden's Dublin Castle pub in what was claimed was an unprovoked attack.

"She was in front of me at the bar and suddenly turned and walloped me three times across the face. It really stung," Wayne Lindsay, 29, told Britain's Daily Mirror. "I couldn't believe it. I hadn't said a word to her or touched her."

According to the paper, the recently hospitalized "Rehab" singer then stormed out of the North London tavern.

A source close to the singer tells PEOPLE that Winehouse merely reacted because someone grabbed her from behind – and that her security then stepped in. (The insider added that she has felt an increasing need for bodyguards in recent weeks.)

On July 7, Winehouse reportedly hit another fan who was trying to photograph her as she returned to her home.

Both incidents follow the widely-documented episode in which the star struck out at a fan during the Glastonbury festival.

Her rep declined to comment.

Alex Rodriguez Dines with Kabbalah Leader

A source tells PEOPLE Madonna introduced A-rod to Kabbalah last year. "Her spiritual stuff definitely rubbed off on Alex," said the source.

Another source close to Cynthia Rodriguez says her husband's Kabbalah involvement caused a strain in their marriage.

Madonna, who says she knows the Yankee slugger because they have the same manager, has denied being involved in the athlete's split, saying "I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study."

Eddie Murphy Misses His Movie Premiere

Tila Tequila Calls Kristy Fake, Walks Off Set

Tila Tequila, hoping for answers and closure after getting dumped on her own show, reunited with her A Shot at Love 2 finalists, Kristy Morgan and Bo Kunkle, on Tuesday’s One Shot Too Many special. As host Ryan Stout put it, it was a season of “broken jaws, broken promises, and broken hearts,” and the reunion continued the trend with Tila calling Kristy “fake” and Bo leaving disappointed once again.

As it turns out, Bo’s problems didn’t end when Tila dumped him. The assistant coach for an high school football team told the audience that the school board fired him after he appeared on the show. “That was just as hard as getting my heart broken by Tila,” he said. And as for getting his heart broken, “That was like a head butt in the face.”

Surprisingly, Bo supported Kristy’s decision not to accept Tila’s key. But as he told Tila, “To find out you got your heart broken just like me, it made me feel all the more worse.”

Kristy’s appearance brought the real drama. To explain why she rejected Tila after leading her on all season, Kristy said she was overwhelmed with insecurity after seeing Tila connect to Bo and other contestants. “Am I going to be that perfect person she has in mind?” she asked. “I don’t want to be another phony reality couple that’s going to break up in three months.”

When Ryan asked her about the differences between men and women, Kristy explained, “Men are completely simple, they’re easy, but women are so complicated.” And Tila, a reality star who “dated” more than 60 other contestants on two seasons of the show, certainly has a complicated history.

But Tila didn’t want to hear it, since everyone on the show knew how it worked from the beginning. “You are so fake,” Tila told her. “You are confused and you need help.”

The last straw came when Kristy told Tila, who broke Bo’s heart, “What goes around comes around!” At that, Tila walked off the set with these parting words: “Shut your trash hole.” – Madeleine Desmond

John Mayer: I Once 'Hooked Up' with a Fan

John Mayer might be keeping mum about his current steamy relationship with Jennifer Aniston, but the soulful singer opened up Tuesday night about a past relationship – with a nameless fan.

During an intimate performance at the Z100 Lounge at New York City’s Spotlight Live nightclub for radio station Z100, Mayer was asked by a concert-goer if he had ever "hooked up" with a fan from a performance. Mayer responded, "Do you respect my honesty? Yes, I have."

After a resounding response of approval from the crowd, Mayer laughed and said, "But that was before camera phones were around!"

The 30-year-old songwriter also commented on life in the public eye. "TMZ is made of some garbage items," Mayer said. "I can't be killed by garbage because I'm made of garbage. That's the game and I'm okay with that."

But Mayer said that he's grateful for his career success and loves keeping himself busy. When asked about what it was like to write his hit "Say" for the film The Bucket List, Mayer said, "I loved the process so much that I began writing songs for movies that I wasn't even asked to write songs for. I wrote a song for Wall-E called "Will Someone In This Piece Say Something!"

Mayer then serenaded the crowd at Spotlight Live with his hit "Say," a cover of Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'," and "Waiting On The World To Change."

Hospital Says Angelina Jolie Photos Are Fake

Don't expect to catch any glimpses of Angelina Jolie in her hospital room.

The hospital in Nice, France, where Jolie, 33, is staying as she awaits the birth of her twins has coated the windows of her room with special insulating material that cameras cannot see through, the Associated Press reports. The news comes after several photographs – allegedly of Jolie and Brad Pitt – have surfaced.

"It is impossible to see into Mr. Brad Pitt and Mrs. Angelina Jolie's room," a rep for the Fondation Lenval hospital said in a statement. "So any pictures released are either posed fakes set up by paparazzi, or, they are pictures of other patients. We hope this is clearly understood out of respect for all patients in this clinic."

On Tuesday, Pitt was spotted arriving at the hospital, where he visited Jolie, who is staying in a four-room suite overlooking the Mediterranean.

Pitt has been a frequent visitor, bringing the couple's daughters, Shiloh, 2, and Zahara, 3, along. On Saturday the actress's brother James Haven also visited.

Jolie is undergoing observation and is expected to give birth anytime "in the next weeks," her obstetrician told reporters on July 2.

Cher's Rep Laughs Off Wedding Reports

Plenty of celebrities have said "I do" in quickie Las Vegas weddings, but contrary to a recent tabloid report, Cher is not one of them.

The Dark Knight Already Selling Out in Theaters

More than a week before its scheduled opening, the much-anticipated Batman film has already sold out everywhere from New York City to Boise, according to the ticket source Fandango. Theaters report that seats for midnight shows have gone so fast that they must continue to add 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. showtimes.

A Fandango.com poll of more than 3,000 people revealed that 38% plan to take time off from work on the movie’s opening day after seeing it in the wee hours.

Christian Bale, reprising his starring role from 2006’s Batman Begins, plays the Caped Crusader, while the late Heath Ledger appears as the archvillain the Joker.

Ledger, who died Jan. 22 from an accidental prescription-drug overdose, has the year’s most anticipated role and is already generating posthumous Oscar buzz.

Earlier this year Bale said his late costar did one hell of a job on the film.

Christie Brinkley Hopes and Prays for Settlement

Christie Brinkley says that when it comes to a possible settlement in her nasty divorce case, "It's what I hope and pray for."

The supermodel, her eyes filled with tears, made the comment outside the courtroom Wednesday as her custody battle with estranged husband Peter Cook took an hours-long recess. Lawyers declined comment on the record but were seen furiously conferring with one another.

Still, the trial went on without any settlement Wednesday. After the recess, Brinkley's side called her children's piano teacher, Christine Glennon, to the stand. She testified that Brinkley is a "kind, warm mother who taught the children respect and is a stickler about their manners."

The head of the children's private school also testified, saying that both Brinkley and Cook are active, hands-on parents.

After court ended for the day, Brinkley declined to comment. When Cook was asked on the way out whether a settlement was near, he said, "I don't know. Do you know something I don't?"

Gwyneth Paltrow: Apple Makes Moses Cross-Dress!

At 4, Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter Apple loves to play dress-up – and she isn't shy about getting her 2-year-old brother Moses in on the act.

"She makes [Moses] cross-dress," Paltrow, 35, told PEOPLE at Wednesday's launch of Estée Lauder's new perfume, Sensuous, in New York City. "But she doesn't put makeup on him!"

Maybe because she's keeping it for herself: "My daughter plays with anything that's girly. ... She loves makeup," said the actress, who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. "She puts on the eye shadow and my high heels. ... She likes to take my tank tops and make them a dress. And then she asks me to tie a rubber band on the back so they stay up."

The budding fashionista is also a fan of Mom's fragrance. "I don't like her to spray perfume on herself because she's so little," says Paltrow, "but she likes to spray it on me."

But it's not all maternal duty for the star. After a day of dress-up (and the inevitable cleanup), Paltrow makes sure to decompress.

"Oftentimes when I put my kids to bed I’ll take a bubble bath and have a glass of wine," she said, adding that she also likes to play chef.

"I don't make complicated Japanese food or anything like that," said the star, who recently admitted to having lots of lovely vices. "But I cook all the time, so I’m always trying new stuff."

Heather Locklear: Missing Her Daughter Is 'Hardest Part'

Three weeks after she headed to Arizona to receive treatment for anxiety and depression, Heather Locklear is flourishing – but missing her 10-year-old daughter, Ava.

"The hardest part of all of this is being apart from Ava," says one Locklear friend. "But she knows she'll be better than ever, and that they'll both really benefit from this. She's feeling better, but it's tough."

Locklear, 46, checked herself in to the facility June 19 for an in-depth evaluation of the medication she'd been taking for anxiety and depression.

While she appeared tired, pale and skinny during lunch with boyfriend Jack Wagner during his June 29 visit, Locklear now looks "bright-eyed, alert and well-rested," says an observer. "She looks so much better [than a week earlier]."

In addition to seeing doctors regularly, Locklear has been riding horses, getting therapeutic spa treatments and taking quiet meals alone. She's also been buoyed by visits from Wagner, who most recently came to see her July 4.

Another bright spot for the actress? A recent week-long break in Bon Jovi's touring schedule meant Richie Sambora got to hang with their daughter, who has been "with family and continuing on with her summer plans," says the source.

"Heather's really happy that Ava got to spend time with her dad," says her pal, adding that Locklear and her rocker ex, 48, "are speaking all the time."

Despite their high-profile split, Sambora (whose East Coast dates with Bon Jovi start Wednesday in Boston before moving to New York on July 14) has been vocal about his support for his ex.

Says the source: "They really have come through [the breakup – and are] on the other side."

Julianne Moore: 'I Don't Know Why Women Do Botox'

At 47, Julianne Moore is happy to look her age – naturally.

"I don't know why women do Botox," the freckled redhead tells Britain's Observer Magazine. "It doesn't make them look younger, it just makes them look like they had work done."

She adds: "You are not going to look the same as you did at 25. What are you going to do about it?"

Admittedly, she says, "It's hard for actresses. Our faces get to be blown up 50 feet wide, and you see stuff that otherwise you wouldn't. People freak out."

Pointing to lines between her eyebrows, she says, "The other day I noticed these. I never used to have lines here ... I can get very distracted by it."

Not that there are barriers to age, she professes. No stranger to onscreen nudity, as those who saw her in Robert Altman's Short Cuts can attest, Moore believes there should be no maximum age limit to baring all.

"I try not to worry about it or think that there's any limit," she says. "But as for actually being comfortable in my own skin, I don't think anybody is ... it's not possible to feel good about yourself at all times."

Happy Homelife
The actress lives a satisfied life with her film-director husband Bart Freundlich, 38, and their two children Cal, 10 and Liv, 5.

"It's so nice to have a boy and a girl. I am lucky, lucky, lucky," she says. "I always tell my little girl that I can remember lying in the bathtub when I was pregnant, and I say I wished and I wished for a girl and got her."

After giving birth, Moore took her time going back to work. "My friend Ellen Barkin gave me the best piece of advice. She said: 'Don't go back to work for as long as you possibly can. Sit on the couch with the remote in one hand and the baby in the other.' "

What's the Matter With the Hulk?

Meet the new Hulk, same as the old Hulk.

Good reviews, solid buzz and all, The Incredible Hulk is virtually tied with the box-office performance of 2003's Hulk, bad reviews, worse buzz and all.

Through Sunday, at the end of its fourth weekend, The Incredible Hulk's domestic take stood at $124.8 million. At the same point in its run, Hulk had grossed $124.7 million.

What's going on? Why hasn't the new and improved movie put more distance between itself and the old movie?

Time to review the suspects:

It's Hulk's fault.

Well, actually, no, say the comic-book experts, it's not.

"He's always been one of the Marvel premiere characters," says Herve St-Louis, publisher of the Web's Comic Book Bin.

In comics, he's been a player since 1962. On TV, he enjoyed a successful run via his 1978-82 prime-time series. And yet as a box-office draw, he's emerged as a "midrange" franchise, as Box Office Mojo's Brandon Gray puts it, more Daredevil than Spider-Man.

Graphic artist Scott Saavedra, who blogs about comics at his site, Comic Book Heaven, wonders if the Hulk's supporting cast—best girl Betty Ross, adversary Gen. "Thunderbolt" Ross, etc.—isn't as compelling to movie audiences as Spider-Man's or Batman's crew. The TV series, for one, steered clear of Hulk's comic family.

"It was more like The Fugitive," Saavedra says. "It wasn't about the Hulk battling supervillains. And, really, he [the Hulk monster] didn't turn up that much."

When he did turn up, he appeared as the painted-green Lou Ferrigno, not as a CGI creation, as he did in both Hulk movies.

"It's probably easier [for some people] to relate to the human character," St-Louis says.

But was that enough of a factor to keep the new Hulk movie from breaking wider? Or were bigger forces at play?

It's Ang Lee's fault.

The Oscar-winning Brokeback Mountain director helmed 2003's Hulk, or, as it's usually called, 2003's much-maligned Hulk.

The movie, dinged for being too ponderous, was further dinged for falling too far, too fast—scoring $62.1 million in its opening weekend, dropping 70 percent in its second weekend and never recovering.

Sums up Gray: "It was very much despised by the audience."

Still, one of the most interesting stats from The Incredible Hulk's opening weekend was that 82 percent of its ticket buyers had seen Lee's Hulk, which begs the question, if the first one was so terrible, why did so many repeat customers turn out for the second one?

Hard-core comic fans are not so easily dissuaded, Saavedra reminds.

Civilians, on the other hand, might have been confused.

"For nongeek people, [the new movie] wasn't branded as Hulk 2," St-Louis says. "Maybe they just didn't understand why there was a new movie."

But is a mixed marketing message really Lee's fault? And is Lee's fault really Lee's fault anyway?

It's Spider-Man's fault.

Lee's Hulk arrived in theaters the summer after Spider-Man set new standards for comic-book movies, with a $115 million opening weekend.

"Expectations," Gray says, "were through the roof."

When Hulk "only" debuted with $62.1 million, then the second biggest comic-book opening for a nonsequel, and then the biggest June opener ever, the movie was viewed as falling short.

But what if: Spider-Man-fueled expectations hadn't been so huge? Hulk had been allowed to be Fantastic Four (a $56 million opening; a $155 million overall take)? A franchise reboot had been made unnecessary?

What really happened, Gray argues, isn't all that bad.

It's time to move on.

"For them to come back five years after the disaster of the first Hulk and sell almost as many tickets is pretty good," Gray says.

Outside of opening weekend, when it came up with $55.4 million, The Incredible Hulk has outgrossed Hulk in each successive weekend—meaning it's playing better, playing longer.

Lee's Hulk, which cost a reported $137 million to make, staggered across the finish line at $132 million. Gray thinks The Incredible Hulk, with a reputed price tag of $150 million, has another $10-$15 million in it, which would put it at $135-$140 million domestically.

"At the end of the day, budget aside," Gray says, "The Incredible Hulk did a lot better than one might reasonably expect considering the vitriol surrounding the first movie."

St-Louis hopes the new movie, which he liked, will be discovered by a wider audience on DVD—and that the Hulk himself will be given one more big-screen chance.

"I probably wouldn't make Incredible Hulk 2 now," he says. "I probably would wait for The Avengers, then I would play each character off each other."

The Hulk can use all the superfriends he can get.

The Best Babies in Hollywood: Our Top 9

The Summer of the Baby is in full swing. This week alone welcomed two new arrivals from Nicole Kidman and Matthew McConaughey (not together, silly, that'd be weird). Plus, Angelina's chilling in a French hospital, waiting to pop.

With so many awesome moppets, it's hard to decide which ones to love the most. So we're here to help! We've boiled the A-list baby pool down to nine that sport a certain spritely magic—and not just the biggest paydays for magazine covers. We left No. 10 open for you to decide.

So which hot tots made the cut?

1. Shiloh Jolie-Pitt: She's a product of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, which means an automatic No. 1 spot on any baby list. At least until George Clooney slips and knocks somebody up. Also, we gotta give Shi a shout-out before those twins totally overshadow her.

2. Kingston Rossdale: Gwen and Gavin's kid just oozes cool, even when sucking on a pacifier. It could just be the killer kicks, but he's also the most easygoing guy around, happily hanging out in parks with everybody else's kids.

3. Levi Alves McConaughey: Sure he's supernew, but he's destined for bestness. We can't wait to see Matt's little man surfing, grilling, playing bongos and hanging with Lance Armstrong. Don't have to worry about his privacy, either—the surfer gang's got his back.

4. Suri Cruise: We're not sure whether it's the fancy designer dresses or cute shoes or priceless pout, but her adorableness is more than enough to trump whatever bizarro hijinx her parents get into.

5. Emme Anthony: Jennifer Lopez can't choose favorites, but we can! Yes, it's true. Emme is our favorite J.Lo twin, but there's still time for Max to bad-mouth Spencer Pratt on Letterman and become our new favorite twin.

6. Barron Trump: The Donald is his dad, but that's not his fault. What's really remarkable is his closet of crazy-preppy clothes—knee socks, cable-knit sweaters tied around his shoulders, this jacket and lots of Ralph Lauren. He's a mini-Chuck Bass waiting to happen.

7. Johan Riley Fyodor Taiwo Samuel: How could the very publicly affectionate couple of Heidi Klum and Seal not make one of the best babies around? There's so much love there. Plus, spectacular hair!

8. Violet Affleck: This adorable Affleck-Garner production is always out running errands with her mom and the paparazzi. But she seems so cheerful about it, and that makes our hearts smile, just a little.

9. Nahla Ariela Aubry: Mom Halle is a superhero (more Storm than Catwoman) and dad Gabriel is a supermodel. Super plus super, raised to the power of utter hotness, equals one of the best babies of Hollywood. Plus, does your mom have an Oscar?

10. [YOUR CHOICE HERE] Where are the spawn of Nicole Richie, Christina Aguilera and Tori Spelling?! And yeah, what about that other J.Lo twin? Let us know the missing baby that will make our list truly magical.

Brinkley Trial Shut Down Amid Settlement Talk

Some unexpected downtime is giving the Uptown Girl hope for a quick end to her getting-uglier-by-the-second divorce and custody trial.

New York Supreme Court Justice Robert S. Cohen temporarily halted the case at the behest of attorneys for Christie Brinkley and her estranged husband Peter Cook.

The lawyers declined to discuss whether a deal was imminent—or even in the works—but upon leaving the Long Island courthouse, Brinkley told reporters a settlement "is what I'm praying for."

That's a huge turnaround for the supermodel, who had fought to make the case public.

Although Cook seemed to be taking the brunt of the humiliation, admitting to an affair with a teen staffer, having a $3,000-a-month online porn habit and being called a "narcissist" by a court-appointed psychiatrist, Brinkley herself wasn't unscathed. The same therapist said Brinkley had her own issues to deal with but she has refused to accept it.

In the trial, which kicked off a week ago, the couple is battling for full custody of their two children, as well as certain assets, including property she owns in the Hamptons that Cook claims to have helped her finance.

Before Cohen granted the motion to adjourn, two of Brinkley's agents had testified about how much the former Sports Illustrated cover girl cherished spending time with 13-year-old Jack and 10-year-old Sailor over her own career.

The trial is scheduled to resume at 3 p.m. local time, at which point Cook's legal team plans to unveil their own witnesses to rebut the psychiatrist's testimony.

Paris Hilton: Club Catfight Story "So Not True"

You know Paris Hilton is serious when she vows to have her picture taken in public without a drop of makeup on.

That's what's she's promised to do if it will clear up rumors alleging she was slugged in the face Tuesday night while at an L.A. club and now bears a large bruise on her cheek.

"It's so not true," Hilton tells E! News. "I had a great time last night and didn't even have an argument with anyone. I don't know where they come up with this stuff."

Hilton says she was at the club in question, Coco de Ville, but insists she spent the night talking with sister, Nicky, her sister's boyfriend, and another female friend (boyfriend Benji Madden is away on tour with his band, Good Charlotte).

"It's a completely made-up story," says the heiress.

So does she have any thoughts on why someone would make up the bar brawl tales?

"Maybe publicity for the club," says Paris. "It was my first time there, so I think someone just put that story out there so the place would get a bunch of press."

Jessica Biel Is One Groovy Chick

Maybe because her boyfriend brought sexy back, Jessica Biel is feeling pressure to revitalize something as well.

While sharing her thoughts on the institution of marriage in the August issue of Harper's Bazaar, the '80s-born beauty manages to throw in a little syntax from the '60s.

"I've never been someone who's like, 'I have to, have to, have to have it,'" she says. "But the idea of being with somebody I care about, who's my soul mate, that sounds groovy."

While not exactly longing for a return to those hippie-dippy days, we'll definitely take such counterculture-based terminology over the likes of tubular, phat, nifty and dope anytime.

Same Bat Time? Not Quite

Just call him the Crack of Dawn Knight.

Movie theaters are adding 6 a.m. opening-day showings of The Dark Knight to meet demand created by sold-out midnight and 3 a.m. screenings.

"It's normal for movies like to this start at midnight," says Chad Hartigan, a box office analyst for Exhibitor Relations Co.

But 6 a.m. screenings?

"That's not normal," Hartigan says.

There are no hard numbers for how many theaters will stay open as the witching hour turns to the rise-and-shine hour at 6 a.m. on July 18, when The Dark Knight debuts. Overall, Hartigan says he expects the movie to play at 3,mega_shok.gif0-3,900 theaters during its opening weekend.

According to Ted Hong, vice president of marketing for the online ticket service Fandango, the unusual 6 a.m. show times are indicators of unusually strong interest.

"The Dark Knight is our fastest selling film in wide release this year," Hong says. "It trumps Iron Man, Sex and the City, Indiana Jones [and] WALL-E at the same point in their sales cycles—and it's even outpacing last year's Spider-Man 3 and Pirates [of the Caribbean: At World's End]."

Per Fandango, The Dark Knight will bow dark and extremely early in midnight showings on more than 1,500 screens. (Fandango and E! Online are both owned by Comcast.)

The service says "many" of those 12 a.m. screenings are sold out in cities both expected (New York, the model for Batman's troubled Gotham City) and not (Boise, Idaho; Council Bluffs, Iowa; etc.). MovieTickets.com, another online ticketing service, reported a total of 140 Dark Knight sell-outs as of today.

In a summer led by the $311 million-grossing Iron Man, The Dark Knight has been regarded as the blockbuster to beat. A sequel to Christopher Nolan's hit franchise reboot, Batman Begins, the new movie is receiving ecstatic early reviews—Variety called it "enthralling"—and Oscar buzz for the late Heath Ledger for his performance as the seriously unhinged Joker.

As early as two weeks ago, three weeks before the July 18 debut, Fandango was reporting "dozens" of premiere-night sell-outs. As of 10 a.m. this morning, still a good eight days before B-Day, The Dark Knight was accounting for 51 percent of all tickets sold by the service. At MovieTickets.com, the film was doing more business than six of that company's Top 10 all-time hits, including The Passion of the Christ and the second Star Wars prequel, Attack of the Clones.

Says Hong: "All indicators point to [next Thursday] as a very busy night at theaters across the country."

Madonna & Gwyneth: Smooch Story Smacked Down

Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow engaging in some same-sex smooching? Kiss those loose-lipped allegations goodbye!

A source close to the two insists Madge and the Oscar-winning actress never shared the on-the-mouth kiss that Madonna's brother Christopher Ciccone reportedly alleges in his upcoming memoir, Life With My Sister Madonna.

Ciccone claims that his sister once planted a passionate lip-lock on Paltrow in the wee hours during a New Year's party thrown by Donatella Versace.

But an eyewitness at the soirée insists nothing of the sort ever happened. "I was at that party and did not see anything at all like what was described," the partygoer says.

So far, celebs who Ciccone apparently dishes about in the book are keeping silent.

Paltrow's rep declined to comment. Madonna's ex-boyfriend Warren Beatty isn't saying anything either regarding Ciccone's story that Beatty once cornered him and grilled him on what it's like to be gay.

However, Madonna's rep, Liz Rosenberg, cracked to the Associated Press, "There is no subject that doesn't fascinate Warren Beatty."

Now, the big question: Will the book fascinate people enough to actually buy it when it's released July 15?

Other anecdotes reportedly include Madonna once calling her ex-husband, Sean Penn, "a paranoid control freak" (crickets from Penn's rep, too), and Demi Moore dancing with Ciccone at a drag queen club.

If this is the juiciest of the book, Life With My Sister ain't exactly sounding like Madonna Dearest.

"It's all too silly and a bit sad," a source said. "Poor Christopher seeking attention."

A rep for the book declined to comment.

Rosenberg told the AP that Madonna has not read the book. "I would have to assume she has come to terms with the fact that they do not have a close and loving relationship," she said. "And with the book coming out, I assume that will remove the chances of that ever happening."

In happier times, Ciccone worked closely with his sister, directing her Girlie Show tour in 1993 and designing her Upper West Side apartment in New York City. He's currently putting together a pitch for an interior-design reality show.

Scrubs Finds a Friend

Courteney Cox is scrubbing the taste of Dirt out of her mouth.

The former Friends star has signed on for a three-episode guest spot on the upcoming eighth season of Scrubs, E! News confirmed Wednesday.

Now that Dr. Kelso's retirement has kicked into gear, Cox has been brought onboard to "ruffle feathers" as Sacred Heart teaching hospital's new chief of medicine, an insider told EW.com, which first reported the casting coup.

Surely that involves butting heads with the other Cox of the walk, the one played by John C. McGinley, and somehow emasculating J.D., right?

We would hope so!

But while Cox will be making a welcome return to situation comedy after playing the decidedly unlovable tabloid editor Lucy Spiller on the FX drama Dirt, which was canceled after two seasons, she will not be doing it on her old NBC stomping grounds.

Unlike Scrubs' previous seven seasons, this new one will be airing on ABC after the Peacock network opted to release executive producer Bill Lawrence from his contract a year early.

Lawrence originally envisioned ending the quirky medical sitcom this spring, but the writers' strike mucked up his grand-finale plans. Since Scrubs was already a Touchstone Television (now ABC Studios)-produced show, he figured ABC would give his creation a good home.

Going Up? Britney Hits the Elevator for Madonna Concert Video

Here's the scoop, bitch.

Cameras started to roll today on the video that Britney Spears is making for Madonna's upcoming Sticky & Sweet tour, which, sources tell E! News, will be the opening video for each show.

The "Are you ready to rumble?!" video, if you will.

The shoot took place today at the Lot in West Hollywood, the former site of Warner Hollywood, United Artists and the Samuel Goldwyn Studios.

An on-set source said that Britney arrived at around 9 a.m. and was holed up in her dressing room by 9:30. The "Toxic" singer didn't start shooting her scenes until noon and was still on the set a few hours later.

According to our insiders, the planned "short movie" will take place inside an elevator, where seven cameras will be strategically placed to capture the magic. The scene-by-scene breakdown goes like this:

Britney, partially disguised by a gray hoodie, walks into the elevator. As she starts traveling upward, she seems particularly nervous and anxious. The popster starts pacing back and forth. Then she progresses to kicking and smacking the walls, all frantic-like. She screams into one of the cameras. Then she starts climbing the wall, pulls down her hood and, into another camera, says:

"It's Britney, bitch."

Well, at least she shouldn't have trouble remembering her lines.

Strains of Madonna's "Human Nature" were also heard playing during some scenes and Britney could be seen mouthing the words.

We're told that the 26-year-old mother of two acted "very professional" throughout and, a day after the shoot was postponed due to technical difficulties, everything seemed to be back on schedule.

But apparently even veteran performers need some time to shake the dust off if they've been away for awhile. Britney was also "really nervous and kept biting her nails—but she’s doing a good job," our source said, adding, "She's being incredibly sweet!"

Meanwhile, despite rumors that Madonna was going to wing her way west for a quick set visit, the Material Girl stayed put in New York today. According to a witness privy to her comings and goings, she went to her studio this morning and then returned to her Manhattan apartment.

Where, if Madonna weren't used to the current tabloid climate, she would have bolted the door, drawn the shades and pulled the covers over her head.

But she probably just ate lunch.

But then they go and put so much effort into their stagey photo shoots that we just don't have the heart to ignore them. With these two it’s never, “Oh, look there’s Matthew McConaughey shirtless again!”

No, these two know how to keep it interesting. Like yesterday, when they decided pack some heat for an afternoon at the firing range doing their best Starsky & Hutch impersonation.

This gun-toting twosome seem to be aiming to find something to set them apart from all the other reality show goofballs, and we wouldn't bet against them.

For one, Heidi clearly believes in the right to bare arms. And legs. And Spencer, well, you just know he's ready to pull out the big guns to make his goals happen.

So dream big, kids. And keep those safeties on, OK?

Ethan Hawke a Twice-Married Man

Here's a toast to great expectations.

Ethan Hawke has married pregnant girlfriend Ryan Shawhughes, People reports.

The duo quietly swapped vows three weeks ago, a source—who also let it be known that the newlyweds are expecting a girl—told the mag.

A rep for Hawke didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

No further details were available, but if there was a ceremony it most likely took place in New York, where the couple were spotted last month applying for a marriage license at the Municipal Building on Centre Street.

Hawke first met Shawhughes when he and his first wife, Uma Thurman, hired her to be their nanny.

Which didn't turn out quite as seedily as it sounds.

The duo reportedly did not start seeing each other until after Hawke's split from Thurman was finalized in 2005. Thurman filed for divorce in 2003 amid rumors of her hubby's infidelity, although he has attributed their breakup to a multitude of other problems.

He and Shawhughes announced their expectant status in January. It will be the third child for the actor; he has two children—daughter Maya Ray, 10, and son Levon Roan, 6—with Thurman.

Hawke said in 2006 that his kids provide "the greatest pleasure in my life. [Being a dad] is the only role that, if I fail, I will consider my life a failure."

The Before Sunrise thesp most recently starred in the critically acclaimed thriller Before the Devil Knows You're Dead and is busy shooting the cop drama Brooklyn's Finest, but there was a time he may have felt a little box office envy when it came to his ex-wife's samurai-sword-wielding success.

"It's unfair when one person's career is taking off, and the other is really suffering," he said last August during an interview on the AMC show Shootout.

"What happens, it's not that they're jealous of each other. It's that the person you share your life with isn't in the mood to support. You want to have a pity party for yourself, but they're off to the Golden Globes, and you don't want to go, because everyone is going to think you are jealous."

Well, there's no trace of an IMDb page for Shawhughes, so Marriage No. 2 is good to go!

Robert Downey Jr. Is Sherlock's 100-Percent Solution

Robert Downey Jr. has elected to put this role in his pipe and smoke it.

E! News confirmed Wednesday that the Iron Man star has commited to playing the titular sleuth in the upcoming Sherlock Holmes, which Guy Ritchie plans to direct for Warner Bros.

This is not to be confused with the other awesome-sounding Arthur Conan Doyle-inspired film Judd Apatow is producing for Columbia Pictures, with Sacha Baron Cohen and Will Ferrell set to star as Holmes and Dr. Watson.

Which, incidentally, will be a comedy.

Variety reports that Downey, who had shown early interest in the flick, decided to take up mystery solving after Ritchie showed him the Anthony Peckham-penned script rewrite.

In addition to Conan Doyle's tales, Ritchie's film will also incorporate the Sherlock Holmes comics series, which painted the detective as more of a muscly action hero who just happened to be far more brilliant than his peers—and, most importantly, his adversaries.

Which sounds like a job for Iron Man to us.

Cameras are set to roll in October with an eye on a 2010 release date.

Britney Spears ain’t the only Hollywood “It” Girl who is rockin’ a new head of premium synthetic hair these days … here are a few pics of Hayden Panettiere taking a break from filming scenes for the new season of Heroes on set earlier this week:

If ladies like Britney and Hayden keep it up with this crazy hair extensions love-affair they’ve got going on, they’re gonna keep Jessica Simpson’s Hair’Do hair extensions company afloat for years to come … something tells me that Jessica’s fake hair prolly sells better than Paris Hilton’s fake hair. Kristen Bell And Dax Shepard Still ‘Rome’ing

Production on the film When In Rome starring real-life couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard has relocated back to NYC after spending some time filming in Rome, Italy for the past few weeks. Here are a few pics of BellDax joggin’, smoochin’ and parading around in skintight running tights on the streets of NYC yesterday afternoon:

First thing, there are a helluva lotta productions being filmed in NYC these days … Gossip Girl, Lipstick Jungle, Ugly Betty, When In Rome … the entire city has been turned into a life-size movie set — that can’t be good for Hollywood. Second thing, I think I could go the rest of my life without ever having to see Dax Shepard in skintight running tights ever again. I’m not really a fan of his mini ponytail/bun either. If this is the sort of thing that Jake Gyllenhaal has got hidden underneath his hoodie, I’d prefer he keep it hidden until it grows out into something more substantial. I’m not exactly sure what Kristen sees in her romantic interest … maybe he’s got hidden talents that we’re not aware of … clearly, he’s not hiding them in his tights, tho.

‘Peace The Spork Out’ Goes To J. Lo’s ‘Madre’

TMZ is reporting that there has been a death of sorts in Jennifer Lopez’s family … her Madre has Peaced the Spork Out. No, not her actual madre but her Latin Cuisine restaurant Madre’s has apparently closed up shop:

Now that she’s a new mother, Jennifer Lopez has no need for Madre’s — her Latin restaurant has closed. A sign on the Pasadena eatery says it shuttered on July 1st “until further notice.” Madre’s had been in business for over six years — a lifetime in the world of celeb restaurants. In contrast, Britney’s NYC joint NYLA lasted less than a year.

Now, it’s entirely possible that the restaurant is merely closed for a while (maybe for the summer?) and hasn’t peaced out for good … but the sign on the door that reads that Madre’s is closed “until further notice” does seem telling:

It’s also telling that J. Lo’s reps have yet to get back with a statement about the state of the biz. I really hope the place isn’t closed for good … I have yet to be able to sample J. Lo’s Ropa Vieja or her Lomo Asado en su Jugo. Have I lost out on my chance forever?

Sean Preston Steps Out

Earlier this morning we got our very first look at Jamie Lynn Spears’s first born child Maddie Briann, who is featured on the cover of this week’s issue of OK! magazine, so I thought it would be nice to check in with Britney Spears’s first born child Sean Preston to see what he is up to these days. Here are a few pics of Sean P. making his exit from his visit to My Gym yesterday in Tarzana, CA:

Okay, so I know that little Sean Preston has been walking on his own for some time now but it seems more significant that Britney’s first baby is now a walking little kid, especially in light of the new photos of JL’s newborn baby girl. It doesn’t seem like all that long ago that little Sean Preston was making his own magazine cover debut (you may recall that People magazine put Spederline and son on the cover of their mag back in November of 2005). It took 2 months for Britney’s first born son to appear on a magazine cover (and her second son, Jayden James, never appeared on a magazine cover) and it only took 3 weeks for JL’s first child to appear on a magazine cover … the times, they are a’changin’. In any event, Sean Preston is growing like a little weed … he’ll be 3 years old in September. I guess it won’t be long until we see pics of little Maddie Briann walking on her own in the very near future. It’s funny how time flies.

The Death Of ‘Brangelina’

Back in March, it was reported that Jennifer Lopez added a stipulation to the sale of the first photos of her newborn twin babies Max and Emme that stated that People magazine could no longer refer to her as “J. Lo“ if they wanted to close the $6 million dollar deal for the pics. People magazine complied (as far as I know) and the babies were featured on the cover and in the pages of the magazine without using the name “J. Lo” once. Now, TMZ is reporting that Angelina Jolie is insisting a similar stipulation be included with any deal (yet to be made with any magazine) for the sale of her twin baby pics. As part of the deal for the pics, which thus far has the asking price of $16 million bucks, the couple is no longer to be referred to as “Brangelina“:

Someone is going to part with megabucks for the first shots of Brangelina’s twins, but if you want the snaps, you’re also going to give up something else. A source in the know tells TMZ that one of the conditions of getting the J-P twins’ first pictures is that the winning mag is forbidden from using “Brangelina.” Multiple sources tell us the couple hates the moniker — but no one more than Angelina.

LOL! This is so ridiculous. I mean, I guess I can understand the mentality of J. Lo and Brangelina … if they hate the nicknames, they hate the nicknames. Using whatever leverage they have to try and put an end to the nicknames they apparently hate so much makes sense. In J. Lo’s case, tho, her moniker was a creation of her own — she proudly used the nickname, making it the title of her second album. In Brangelina’s case, well, they had no say in the creation of the name so they have a better case. Unfortch for them, tho, I’m pretty sure the world isn’t going to stop calling them Brangelina … I know I’m not. The only media outlet that will stop using the name is the outlet that shells out the $16+ million bucks for the pics. And for the record, I like the nickname Brangelina … it falls off the tongue so nicely, don’t you think?

Amy Winehouse Strikes Again

Apparently, Amy Winehouse doesn’t just have a knack for assaulting her fans … it appears that she also seems to enjoy assaulting random strangers on the street (well, actually, in a pub) as well as beating members of her own security detail. Here are a few pics of Amy’s assault on her bodyguard as she returned home from an outing, days after she allegedly beat a man in a pub earlier in the week:

Stand back everybody - here comes Amy! Cementing her reputation as a star not to be messed with, the 24-year-old got into her third brawl in two weeks - with her own minder. Returning home from the Good Mixer, one of her regular Camden haunts, Amy hit her waiting bodyguard directly in the face last night. And by the looks of things he felt the full force of her hand, grimacing in pain as she went in for another blow. Wearing red shorts and a 1950’s style black shirt, Amy looked glamorous but dishevelled as she entered her North London abode leaving the unlucky minder behind her. But he can take solace in the knowledge he’s not the only one to have been on the receiving end of Amy’s temper. She was seen striking a fan outside her Camden flat, claiming he had pinched her bottom.

Earlier this week, she allegedly struck a man in the face while on one of her numerous pub visits:

They came out of the blue - three stinging smacks from Amy Winehouse as the turbulent pop diva “went wild” in an unprovoked pub attack. Wayne Lindsay was standing quietly behind the 24-year-old star when she whipped round, screamed “Wanker!” at him and belted him for no reason. Salesman Wayne, 29, said: “She was in front of me at the bar and suddenly turned and walloped me three times across the face. It really stung. I couldn’t believe it. I hadn’t said a word to her or touched her. I was just drinking a pint with my friends. There was no obvious reason for her flying off the handle. But she clearly thought I’d done something. She was wild. She just flipped. It was as if she had voices in her head.”

The report goes on to say that Amy was “downing tequila shots” with friends before she freaked out and wailed on the poor guy. Yeah, that sounds about right. I mean, it’s pretty clear that Amy Winehouse isn’t the most stable person on Earth:

I guess these guys should look on the bright side … a punch from Amy Winehouse ensures you get 15 minutes of fame. That’s got to account for something, yes?

Selma Blair Cops a Kiss

The 36-year-old actress has been promoting her new film, Hellboy II: The Golden Army. The movie opens this Friday, July 11th. Selma sat down with CBR and talked about the flick.

Does acting in a movie like Hellboy II: The Golden Army remind you of why you became an actress, this whole idea of being immersed in a world of fantasy and make-believe, and working with a tumor baby?

Yeah, this is one of the good ones. This makes me really grateful to get to work with a director like Guillermo, and to be in a film like this, that I hope people are in awe of, and will watch many times and pick out things over and over again that amaze them. I’m just really grateful to be a part of this story.

There’s going to be a Hellboy III?

God only knows. Guillermo will be very busy with “The Hobbit,” but it does set up “Hellboy 3” as a very, very sad piece of material.
