Angelina Leaves Hospital with Newborn Twins



Angelina Jolie and her twins left the hospital early Saturday – a week since she gave birth to Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline.

"Angelina Jolie left the Clinic Santa Maria of Fondation Lenval early in the morning of July 19th," hospital rep Nadine Bauer confirmed to PEOPLE. "The mother and babies are doing very well."

There were only a few journalists camped outside the Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France, early Saturday morning but even they didn't know for sure when Jolie slipped out of the hospital with her twins at 4 a.m. local time.

Jolie and the newest Jolie-Pitts left Lenval to join their excited siblings – Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3; and Shiloh, 2 – at Chateau Miraval, the enormous and luxurious chateau in Correns, France, that Jolie and partner Brad Pitt rented in May.

Housewives Saying Goodbye to Wisteria Lane




Wisteria Lane will be no more—after three more seasons.

That’s the word out of the Desperate Housewives panel at ABC’s press tour for TV critics, which included creator Marc Cherry, executive producer Bob Daily and all the women (Eva, Teri, Nicollette, Felicity, Marcia and, yes, even Dana Delany—who will be back for season five, boo-yah!).

“I’ve made the decision that after seven years I will probably keel over in a hump,” Cherry explained. “I love my baby, I love working with these gals, but the idea of letting anyone else take the show from me kind of makes me sad and sick to my stomach...I’m going to take it for seven years, and we’re going to get out while people still like us.”

Chinese Artist Swipes at Kung Fu Panda




Nobody pokes fun at a panda in this town and gets away with it.

A Chinese artist known for invoking his country's bamboo-gnawing national symbol in nearly everything that he does has filed a complaint against DreamWorks over its treatment of Po, the initially inept bear voiced by Jack Black in Kung Fu Panda.

Zhao Bandi, who last month rallied for a boycott of the film, is demanding an apology from the studio for certain attributes it assigned to the title panda, including his green eyes and the fact that he has a duck for a father.

Beijing's Chaoyang District People's Court has formally accepted his suit, he says.

But Bandi is not asking for any money—just the apology.

BREAKING NEWS: Amy Winehouse's Husband Sentenced to 27 Months in Jail



Amy Winehouse won't be seeing her husband for quite some time.

Blake Fielder-Civil has been sentenced to 27 months in jail after admitting that he beat up a pub manager in a barroom fight in 2006.

The 26-year-old - who has been in jail since his arrest last November - also admitted he offered the landlord of Macbeth's pub in London $400,000 to stay quiet, the Associated Press reports.

The judge told Fielder-Civil he had behaved in a "gratuitous, cowardly and disgraceful" way.

Winehouse, 24 - who wed Fielder-Civil in May 2007 - wasn't in court at the time of the sentencing.

It might be a good thing Fielder-Civil will remain behind bars.

Winehouse's father Mitch had recommended Fielder-Civil seek rehab if he got out.

"If he comes out and they go back to doing what they were doing before, she's going to have a serious health problem," Mitch recently said. "He's a fit young man, he could probably carry on like this for the rest of his life. Amy can't and he has to understand that."

Meanwhile, the personal drama continues for Winehouse, who is set to start writing her new album in September.

She was photographed clubbing in London until the wee hours of 5 a.m. Saturday.

Jessica Simpson Booed at First Country Concert



Jessica Simpson's first country concert was met with mixed reactions.

Audiences booed and clapped as the singer, 28, opened for Sara Evans on Satturday at the Country Thunder USA festival in Randall, Wisconsin.

"I don't know what your perception is of Jessica Simpson or what tabloid you buy, but I just want you to know that I'm just a girl from Texas," Simpson told the crowd. "I'm just like you. I'm doing what I love and dating a boy."

She dedicated the tune "You're My Sunday" to beau Tony Romo, who was in the audience, and performed a slew of covers — including Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again" — as well as her new single "Come On Over."

One concertgoer told the local paper: "I'll have to drink a lot of beer to sit through her concert."

Added another: "She's an embarrassment to country music."

Not all were haters.

One fan told the paper, "I actually like her country songs better. She has a great voice, plus, she's adorable."

Despite the lukewarm buzz, her father Joe recently told Us his daughter — whose album drops September 9 - is ready for country.

"It feels really good," he said of her album. "She is extremely happy."

A British newspaper reports that an unnamed man is claiming that he secretly taped Madonna and A-Rod sexin' it up. And, no shock, he's trying to sell the tape (for a cool $2 million!).
The lensman claims the tape was shot with a hidden camera in an apartment owned by one of Madge's Kabbalah friends, allegedly used by the pair for secret afternoon trysts.
The camera man is also friends with the Kabbalah friend.
When he found out about the afternoon delight sessions, he supposedly installed a hidden camera in the living room with the lens pointed at the sofa.
According to the rag, Madonna’s lawyers said they were “aware” of the lensman’s claims but were not commenting.
A legal expert said if what this guy is claiming is true, he could face prosecution for voyeurism and burglary: “If footage was obtained in this way it would be an outrageous invasion of privacy. But more than that he would not have had his friend’s consent to install the camera and must have entered the apartment without approval to hide it….That is burglary."

A federal appeals court has thrown out a $550,000 fine against CBS for the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show that ended with Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction."

On Monday, a three-judge panel in Philadelphia ruled that the Federal Communications Commission "acted arbitrarily and capriciously" in issuing the fine for the fleeting image of nudity.

With all the controversy still surrounding Alex Rodriguez, his friends are speaking out about what's really going on.
According to inside sources, it's Cynthia Rodriguez that has "emotionally abused" A-Rod.
They say she had even given him permission to see other women!

A source says, "When you keep a man caged, he's going to go crazy when you let him out."
According to the pal, A-Rod asked for a divorce earlier this year.
The source continues, "He said, ‘I hate this. I want out,' but she kept insisting they could work it out. After about six months of him asking for a divorce, she said it was okay for him to see other people, but she wouldn't agree to a separation."

A longtime friend of the couple says, "Alex has always been into psychotherapy, making himself mentally stronger. He's had several therapists. Cynthia has a master's degree in psychology. Once she found out how vulnerable he was, she got into his head. Several of us begged him not to marry this woman, but he did it anyway."

And her Orthodox Greek background didn't clash well with his Dominican heritage they say.
A source adds, "She said she wanted him to become a mainstream sports star. She didn't want him typecast as a Latin player. She discouraged him from taking part in Hispanic community events. She wouldn't even let him eat Spanish food."

Well, the reality competition premiered Sunday to a shitty tune.
It came in #3 with just 4 million viewers on Sunday night.
CBS' ancient but still chugging along Big Brother nabbed 5.8 million.
A repeat of America's Got Talent on NBC came in second with 5.3 million.

The network has picked up Sarah Jessica Parker's rip off of Project Runway.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, it's a show that would feature aspiring artists producing various styles of artwork (painting, sculpting, etc.), which is then judged by a panel of experts.

As we've previously mentioned, Jimmy Fallon will be taking over for Conan O'Brien on Late Night when ginger locks takes the late night top spot from Jay Leno.
Well, the producer of Late Night, Lorne Michaels (who also heads up Saturday Night Live too), wants Jimmy to "to work out as many of the rough spots in his presentation" online before the big dance, according to the New York Times.
The web performances will likely begin in the fall, long before the transition in '09.
The online videos probably won't be anything like an entire hour-long show.
Michaels said, “I expect that we’ll do something like 5 or 10 minutes.”
He went on to say Jimmy most likely will be on every night, to try to establish the rhythm of a nightly show, “I’m going to post them at 12:30 every night, so people will begin to look for Jimmy at that time.”

Like a Good Reality Whore, Khloe Opens Up



On Monday morning, freed jail bird Khloe Kardashian talked to Ryan Seacrest about her brief lock up and DUI arrest.
Apparently, trannylicious Khloe was drowning her sorrows in booze the night she was arrested for DUI last year. It was the anniversary of the death of her father Robert Kardashian (yup, OJ's lawyer!) and she was "…going out a lot…trying to hide the pain. And I went out, but I went out the wrong way. We should have had drivers, and we just weren't being smart."

K.K. also revealed that she was originally expected to be taken to the downtown Twin Towers correction facility, "one of the dirtiest, toughest jails in L.A.," but said that come Friday morning, "there were some complications, and I actually could not go down there. It's a blessing in disguise. That's my dad being one of my angels."
She was transferred to the less rough and tumble Lynwood lock up and immediately placed in solitary confinement for safety reasons.
She went on to report, "As soon as I got to Lynwood, there were three bomb threats…The warden came down to talk to me, and he was saying, 'You're the one causing all the problems here.' And I'm like, 'Ugh, I don't need any more problems.' And he's like, 'There's all these bomb threats, and we're thinking it's for you.'..But because of all these things, it's a blessing, and I was actually released early because I was a threat to the prison."

WTF?
Wonder who called in the 'bomb threats'???
Note to self, consider 'bomb threat' strategy to get out of jail early if (God forbid) we ever have to serve jail time.
Anyway, it wasn't just the whole bomb threat thing that set her free, the perpetual overcrowding of the jail system supposedly worked in her favor too!
Guess what K.K.'s mom did after she was released from jail?
Khloe says, "She had some wine and a shot of Patrón. But we had a driver."

On The N Word



As you recall from last week, Elizabitch Hasselbeck got very emotional during a debate with Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepard over the use of the controversial N word on The View.
Hasselbeck insisted that the word should not be used to describe anyone or be used by anyone. Whoopi took the position of many stating that only members of the black community are entitled to use the word.
Now steps in actor Taye Diggs, who has his own opinion about the situation and about Hasselbeck.
Diggs says Hasselbeck "doesn’t understand, and, no offense — I don’t think any white person has the right to tell a black person or to even weigh in on subject matter such as that. They don’t know what it’s like to be called that word; they don’t know what it’s like to be black.”
Diggs continued, “They can have an opinion, but… don’t take a word that you created and called me for many, many years, and then me being in my position, have the strength to change what it means in my own culture. Don’t try to take it back now. Now it’s ours. Leave it alone.”

China says it will ban foreign artists and entertainers who have ever engaged in activities deemed to "threaten national sovereignty."
Chinese event organizers will be expected to scrutinize acts and material and ban any performance that might threaten national unity, stir ethnic hatred or violate Beijing's strict policy on state-approved religions and "cultural norms."
So, basically, China will ban your ass if you criticize them!

Then there was uber director Steven Spielberg, who dropped his name from an Olympic committee cause he is opposed to China's practice of doing business with the genocidal Sudanese government.

Hoping To Revive His Career



Looks like they are all out of good ideas, or he's just in need of a paycheck!
Reports are surfacing that 22 years after the release of Top Gun, they've decided to make a sequel.
Tom Cruise is said to be in talks to reprise his role of Lt. Pete "Maverick" Mitchell.
Yea, that's what we want to see. A 46 year-old Maverick.
An inside source says, "The idea is Maverick is at the Top Gun school as an instructor - and this time it is he who has to deal with a cocky new female pilot."
Let's hope they don't cast Katie Holmes as the cocky new pilot.
Cruise hasn't had much success at the box office lately, with Mission Impossible III performing below expectations and brining in less money than the first film.
Not to mention his last film, Lions for Lambs , which was released last year and attacked by critics.
Looks like it's time for Cruise to retire.

The old timer is jumping out of a plane and parachuting as part of the Chicago Air and Water Show on Friday, August 15th.
He won't be going at it alone!
It will be a tandem jump with a team called the Golden Knights.
The Chi-town native is actually doing it for a good cause.
Murray agreed to the stunt to bring attention to the USO of Illinois and the work that organization does on behalf of American troops here and overseas.

Television's about to get a little more lezbolicious!
Showtime is working on a spinoff to its lesbian drama The L Word, which will kick off its sixth and final season early next year.
The spinoff will star one of the L Word actresses but the identity of the chosen actress hasn't been revealed to the cast.
Hope it's Jennifer Beals…cuz she's hot.
They should give Lindsay Lohan a role in the spinoff.
We don't think she's busy!
Maybe SaMAN wouldn't approve, though. She probably wouldn't want someone hotter than her making out with her woman!

Seth Rogan stars in Kevin Smith's newest movie, titled Zack and Miri Make a Porno.
The movie has been hit by an NC-17 rating by the movie rating board.
NC-17 flicks have a hard time getting into theaters, so Smith is apparently trying to fight the rating.
Hope they don't have to cut too much of the good stuff!
Looks like we'll have to wait ’til the DVD release to see a true director's cut.

"Not Guilty"



Joe Francis was back in court Monday trying to defend himself.
The Girls Gone Wild founder pleaded not guilty today to federal tax evasion charges.
His case is scheduled for trial on September 16th.
He's probably praying everyday he doesn't get convicted. If he does, he could possibly face 10 years in jail.
Francis reportedly deducted more than $20 million in fake business expenses on his companies' corporate income tax returns for the years 2002 and 2003.
Prosecutors are also alleging that he transferred over $15 million from an offshore bank to a California brokerage account in the name of a Cayman Islands company under his control.
He also allegedly charged over $10.4 million in fake consulting services and spent almost $4 million to build a home in Mexico as a business expense.
Francis' attorney, Robert Bernhoft, says that Francis's certified public accountant had filed the returns and signed them.
Then, coincidentally two years later, the accountant demanded a bounty for supposedly exposing Francis as a tax cheat.
Bernhoft said Francis never saw or signed the tax returns.
He added, "The CPA's mistakes have already cost Joe Francis millions in tax penalties and interest. It's time for this persecution to stop."
Bernhoft also said there would be "nuclear bomb-type developments" filed this week regarding the case.

He Moves Fast



The treatment you get when you're a former Beatles star.
Apparently Paul McCartney arrived late on Friday night, just before the start of the Billy Joel concert.
So what's a guy to do?
Well, you get the NYPD to escort you from JFK Airport to Shea Stadium in less than 15 minutes!
The distance is approximately 11 miles away.
McCartney's plane landed shortly after 11:00pm.
He was then met on the tarmac by cops.
And then made it to the stadium by 11:20pm to surprise everyone.
Of course, all the while being escorted by police.
It's nice to see tax dollars being spent properly.

Sources reveal exclusively to Perez that things got rather heated Sunday at a barbecue held by Carmen Electra at the DKNY Jeans Beach House in Malibu, CA.
Wait, didn't Malibu say they weren't going to allowed sponsored houses this year????
Anyway, things got uglier between Travis Barker's former wife, Shanna Pokeher, and party girl Kim Kardashian.
Sources tell us, "Kim and Reggie Bush arrived at Carmen's barbecue mid-afternoon. After hanging out with Carmen, Kim went upstairs. A moment after Kim left the area, Shanna stormed over and in a very loud and "nasty ######" asked "Who invited Kim here?"

Moakler didn't realize that Reggie was standing behind her and he quickly began to defend Kim.

Women's Wear Daily reports that Crocs is suing Skechers for 'stealing' their designs and logos.

Skechers responded to the allegations in a statement issued by their lawyer, saying, "We believe that this lawsuit is completely without merit and will vigorously defend ourselves against such baseless accusations."

Christian Bale Accused Of Assault!



Wow. Wow. Wow.
They better be right about this or we smell a lawsuit on their hands!
The Sun is reporting that Batman himself, Christian Bale, has been accused of assault - by his own family!
Despite the charges against him, London police chose not to question the actor on Monday, the day of the London Dark Knight premiere, which he attended.
Bale is alleged to have lashed out on Sunday night at London's Dorchester Hotel.
His mother, Jenny, 61, and sister, Sharon, 40, went to a police station in Hampshire yesterday to lodge the allegation.
The matter was referred to the Met Police.
Detectives are expected to make attempts to question Bale today.
A Met Police spokesman said: “We can confirm we have received allegation from another force in relation to an alleged incident in central London.”
Did he hit his mom or his sister in some violent rage???? Was he drunk????

Sluttyienna Miller's still married new boyfriend, Brothers & Sisters actor Balthazar Getty, released a statement late Monday about the state of his marriage.
No mention of Sienna was made.
Says Getty, "The breakdown of a marriage is a very difficult and painful experience especially when children are involved. In light of the fact that many pictures have surfaced in print and on the Internet which has caused myself and my family great embarrassment, I felt it necessary to at least acknowledge publicly that yes indeed my wife and I have separated and I will not be commenting any further."
Uhmm, he sure as hell doesn't look embarrassed in that picture!
Getty's wife, Rosetta, is said to be devastated.
He should be ashamed!

"My brother was an airborne ranger in Afghanistan and Iraq,” Montag tells TV's Extra. "It’s very important to me and important to Spencer to support the troops and go over there.”

Tori Spelling is writing a book.
Another one!
This one, though, will focus on her life as a Hollywood mom.
The new book, tentatively titled Mommywood, is expected to hit shelves next April.
"Writing my first book, sTori Telling, was an amazing, cathartic journey for me," Tori says. "Now, being a mom of two beautiful babies, I'm excited to share more stories as I embark on this new chapter of my life."
Laugh as we may at the thought of Tori Spelling as an "author" - her first book spent seven weeks on the New York Times best-seller list. And we know she didn't buy all those copies herself. She's not filthy rich!

Ad pages are down this year for the mag's September issue.
Last year's Sept. issue had 50 more ad pages than this year's!
The coveted September issue of all the fashion magazine's are usually the biggest - with more ad pages - than any other issue of the year.
This is not a good indicator of things to come!

A source close to Balthazar Getty's wife, Rosetta, reveals exclusively to Perez that the actor "was 100% NOT separated from her when he started dating Sienna."
The Brothers & Sisters actor released a statement Monday about the whole Sluttyienna fiasco.
"Rosetta is heartbroken," our insider tells us. "She has an 8 month old baby! And three other kids with Balthazar."

Christian Bale Arrested



As we told you he would…
Christian Bale was arrested in London today in connection with assault charges brought against him by his mother and sister.
The incident apparently occurred in his hotel on Sunday.
The actor is currently being questioned by police.
He has yet to release a statement.

Update:

He has handed himself into police voluntarily over the mysterious domestic feud.
He went to Belgravia police station in central London earlier today and is still there, being held in custody.
When asked if Bale had been arrested, a police spokesman said "A 34-year-old man attended a central London police station this morning by appointment and was arrested in connection with an allegation of assault. He currently remains in custody."
His family is not talking.

Sherri's Startling Confession: "I had more abortions than I would like to count"



The View co-host Sherri Shepherd recently made some startling revelations to Precious Times, a magazine for today's black Christian woman.
On life before Christianity:

"Before I converted to Christianity, I was a Jehovah's Witness. In 1993, my mother was dying from diabetic complications. My sister was heavy into drugs, and we would have to go and get her from crack houses. I was in a very physically abusive relationship. I was sleeping with a lot of guys and had more abortions than I would like to count. I had very low self-esteem and just wanted to die. I felt if someone killed me, it wouldn't even make a difference. But God showed me that it would make a difference."

She also tells the mag that that it is hard being 'taken to task about her faith' on The View:

"Oh sometimes I say, 'Lord, Juanita Bynum or Joyce Myers (evangelists) would be so good at this table. They could lay hands on Barbara Walters and get her saved. I ask the Lord, 'Why am I here?' I have to trust God when He says, 'Because I said so.'"

Wow.
That's some eye opening stuff!

Madonna's Meltdown???



Take this with a grain of salt, but…

An insider has revealed to British paper The Sun that all might not be well with Madge.
Apparently, she's been diagnosed with anemia because she hasn't been taking care of herself. Or so they claim.

“Madonna is doing less than OK. She has been rehearsing for the tour and she is totally miserable. She’s down physically and mentally. The situation with Guy is very, very tense. The way the press are going crazy with the A-Rod story, her brother’s book and her physical exhaustion are all taking their toll. Family tension with her father and two of her other siblings has also been awkward. She feels nobody has taken her side. One of her closest pals says she has never seen Madonna so low. She has been feeling low and looking really gaunt. Madonna was told to go soft on work and rehearsals, so she will now take one proper day off every week and go easy in the mornings. She has a blood analysis done every few days — including one during last Friday’s rehearsal in front of everyone."

Sheesh. Everyone has a bad day or two, right?
What we do know is that the woman is like super teflon.
She'll be just fine!

Sad sad news.

Estelle Getty has passed away.
The legendary actress died today in her Los Angeles home at 5:35 A.M.
She was 84.

While this is truly sad news, we must be comforted to know that she is in a better place now.
The Golden Girl had been very sick recently and had been fighting dementia for years.
Our thoughts go out to her family.
So sad.

Christian Bale Speaks!!!



The actor is finally talking about the assault charges brought against him by his mother and sister.
In a statement just released, Christian Bale is denying any wrongdoing.
He says:

"Christian Bale attended a London Police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister. Mr Bale who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the Police.
At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr Bale."

Christian was interrogated by police today. He is scheduled for a follow-up with London authorities in September.

Sir Bob's daughter is said to have suffered a drug overdose, but the socialite is attempting to downplay the reported "incident."
In a statement released today, Geldof's reps say:

"Peaches has made a full recovery from the minor incident reported in today’s papers. After attending last night’s Batman premiere in Leicester Square, she is looking forward to work as usual today.”
