Pete Doherty Fined $2,000 for Camera Smash



Pete Doherty has been fined $2,000 in a British court for breaking the lens of a photographer who had been following him and his family last August, Agence France-Presse reports.

The troubled 29-year-old Brit has been in and out of prison for everything from drug possession to failure to appear in court.

"Yeah, it’s OK today,' Doherty said outside the courthouse. "It should have been sorted out ages ago to be honest. It's been hanging over me for a long time."

Mariah Carey Planning 'Elaborate' Tour



Mariah Carey is prepping for another tour – and promises to put on a really big show.

"I like elaborate," Carey told MTV News, of her plans for her upcoming tour to promote her album E=MC2. "We only do substantial. That's what my jeweler says. I haven't gotten the looks in mind just yet, but we're going to figure it out soon enough."

She also revealed the tour will likely kick off in late fall. "We're looking at November right now. [But] please don't hold me accountable if it turns out to be December 5 or December 7 or January 18!"

Before that, though, Carey will appear at the Teen Choice Awards on Aug. 4 and at Fashion Rocks on Sept. 5.

Brooke Hogan Considering Offer to Pose Nude in Playboy



Is Brooke Hogan about to bare all?

Her rep confirms to New York's Daily News that the singer, 20, has been approached to pose in Playboy.

"No decision has been made at this time," her rep told the paper.

Hulk Hogan's daughter is no stranger when it comes to showing some skin. (She previously stripped down to a bikini for FHM.)

She encountered another swimsuit scandal in April when photographers snapped shots of her 54-year-old father applying lotion to her butt.

Miley Cyrus "Lookin'" for a Boyfriend



Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus is single – but she says she's "lookin'" for a boyfriend.

"It is hard when you are hanging out with guys, even guys that are just your friends," the 15-year-old singer-actress, who's been linked to Nick Jonas and co-star Lucas Till, said on Today Thursday.

"[He's] automatically your boyfriend, because that's what the media thinks," she explained. "I think it's good if you can be able to have guy and girl friends that, you know, understand you... and it stinks when we go out; people automatically think we're together."

(Meanwhile, Jonas has been linked to fellow Disney star Selena Gomez.)

Another problem area for the Us Power Girl: being grounded by her parents for fighting with her 14-year-old brother.

"I kinda like it sometimes," she admitted. "I'm like, 'Oh, it's kinda nice just to be home,' you know. And it'll kinda stop me for a little while from wanting to work and wanting to do this and that.

"The worst is cell phones getting taken away," she added. "It's the worst!"

Everything could change on November 23 – when Cyrus turns 16 and qualifies for a driver's license.

"I'll take anything that'll drive," Cyrus said of her car preference. "Seriously, right now I just want anything that'll get me around and hopefully it's something somewhat OK."

Cyrus is performing live on Today for a half-hour on Friday. The next Hannah Montana film hits screens next year.

Mariah Carey Blasts Rocky Marriage Rumors



Mariah Carey says she and husband Nick Cannon are solid.

"It's good," she tells MTV News of their marriage. "Life is beautiful, and things are going well."

Since wedding Cannon in April, she says she has heard people say "things are rocky and hazy and messed up" between them.

"I'm like, 'Why would we have gotten married?'" says Carey, who is planning to tour in November. "People are going to say what they say, but what would be the purpose? I guess other people do those things for a purpose, but I don't know.

"I'm ecstatic, so be ecstatic with me!" she adds. "Be happy with me. Can we celebrate?"

She recently told the August issue of Elle that they want to start a family.

Of Cannon, she said, "I couldn’t imagine anybody that I’ve ever met being a better dad."

The day before her 39th birthday Thursday, she was spotted shopping at Bonpoint baby boutique in NYC while feeding her twin son Max. Her mother, Guadalupe, held baby girl Emme.

Born in the Bronx, Lopez has gone from workaholic to major mom since welcoming her twins in February.

Police: Fight Breaks out at Jolie-Pitt Chateau



According to French police, two camouflaged paparazzi got into a fight with guards at the Jolie-Pitt family's chateau in Miraval, France, on Thursday.

Police spokeswoman Capt. Olivia Poupot told the Associated Press that the shutterbugs and guards were taken into questioning. Both sides filed legal complaints accusing the other of battery, the AP reports.

A judge will rule on whether the legal complaints should be pursued further.

The guards got doctors' notes giving them four days off work.

It is the latest drama for Jolie, 33, and Pitt, 44, since the actress left the hospital July 12 after the birth of her twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline.

Earlier this week, Pitt threatened legal action against any publication that prints photos of his family at home in France.

Pitt's lawyer claimed photographers took the shots "surreptitiously" with "highly powerful telephoto lenses."

Shia LaBeouf Arrested for DUI



Shia LaBeouf was arrested for drunk driving after being involved in an early morning car accident in Hollywood on Sunday.

LaBeouf, 22, was driving when his car was involved in a collision around 3 a.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff's Sgt. S. Wolf told the Associated Press.

"It was immediately apparent to officers responding on the scene that LaBeouf was intoxicated and he was subsequently placed under arrest," Wolf said.

The actor was booked for a misdemeanor DUI and released.

He was being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for injuries he sustained to his head, left hand and knee. The passenger riding with LaBeouf and the driver of the other car involved in the crash weren't seriously hurt.

LaBeouf, who recently co-starred in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, was trying to make a left turn when the accident happened and his car rolled over.

A rep for the actor had no comment.

This is not the star's first run-in with the law. Last November, he was arrested at a Walgreens in Chicago after he refused to leave the store and because he appeared intoxicated. The charges were later dropped.

LaBeouf said later that he was "embarrassed" about the incident.

Christian Bale Is a 'Big-Hearted, Good Guy,' Says Director



As Christian Bale weathers what he calls "a deeply personal matter," he has Terminator Salvation director McG firmly in his corner.

"He's the most professional, passionate actor you're ever going to find," McG said of the Dark Knight star during a Saturday panel discussion at Comic-Con in San Diego. "I mean it's just that simple … Bale is just all about the work. He loves his wife, he loves his child, he loves being an actor. He's not interested in materialist things. He wants to come to work prepared."

The director added that the 34-year-old Bale, who plays hero John Connor in the upcoming fourth installment of the Terminator franchise, is passionate about his work – in a good way. It has been a roller coaster few weeks for Bale: The Dark Knight has been breaking box office records even as the actor has been dealing with the fallout from his July 22 arrest following assault allegations made by his mother and sister.

Dark Knight Makes Record-Breaking $300M in 10 Days



No argument: The Dark Knight is Hollywood's brightest light.

The Batman adventure, starring Christian Bale and Heath Ledger, shattered another box-office benchmark this weekend – reaching beyond the $300 million mark in a mere 10 days.

The movie grossed $75.6 million in its second weekend in theaters, bringing its North American box-office total to $314,245,000, Warner Bros. head of distribution Dan Fellman tells the Associated Press.

The number breaks the record established by 2006's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, which hit $300 million after 16 days.

Fellman says Dark Knight could conceivably reach the $400-million mark in about 18 days – placing it ahead of Shrek 2's 43-day record in 2004.

Hold on to your life preservers – The Dark Knight might also surpass 1997's Titanic as the highest-grossing film in U.S. history, according to Paul Dergarabedian, president of Media By Numbers. That sinking-ship saga, starring Leonardo Di Caprio, made $600,788,188 domestically.

Rounding out this weekend's top five at the box office were Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly in Step Brothers, with an estimated $30 million; Meryl Streep in Mamma Mia!, $17.9 million; David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson in The X-Files: I Want to Believe, $10.2 million; and Brendan Fraser in Journey to the Center of the Earth, $9.4 million.

Shia LaBeouf Recovering from 'Extensive Hand Surgery'



Shia LaBeouf, who was arrested for drunk driving Sunday after being involved in a car accident in Hollywood, is recovering from surgery, his rep said in a statement.

"Attorneys for Mr. LaBeouf confirm that an automobile accident involving an additional party occurred early morning in Los Angeles on July 27, 2008," said Melissa Kates in the statement issued Sunday evening. "Shia is currently recovering from extensive hand surgery with plans to return to work on the set of Transformers 2 within one month. No further comment will be issued at this time. "

Lindsay's Motorcycle Mayhem? Rep Says Nope




Linsday Lohan's rep is making roadkill of reports that the trouble-magnet starlet spent some quality time in a New York hospital after getting sideswiped by a motorcycle.

The New York Post and TMZ both claimed that Lohan and constant companion Samantha Ronson were leaving a club late last night in New York City when she was supposedly flattened. Lohan was reportedly treated at Beth Israel Medical Center and released early this morning.

The Post even quoted Lohan's dad, Michael, as saying, "She's not hurt. That's all I really care about."

But according to publicist Leslie Sloane, there might be another reason the actress isn't hurt, and that's because the reports are bunk. "I spoke to Lindsay," Sloane tells E! News, "and she said nothing happened."

Halle Berry Goes After Paps for Backyard Breach




Like most new moms, Halle Berry may not be able to take her eyes off her baby. But unlike the spawn of most celebs these days, her daughter is not for the world to see.

Some paparazzi shots that circulated earlier this week showing the Oscar winner carrying 4-month-old Nahla Ariela Aubry—the little one's media debut—apparently were not taken while the duo were "out and about," like many captions accompanying the photo claimed.

Rather, according to Berry's attorney, the pics, one of which shows a foliage-covered slope and a patio table in the background while others include glimpses of Berry's mother, were taken when the X-Men star was in her backyard, constituting a "very blatant and invasive trespass."

“The paparazzi have gone too far. [Gabriel] and I have always remained that we would never sell baby photos or otherwise exploit her in any way,” Berry said in a statement obtained by E! News.

I knew it! Yesterday I joked that it wouldn’t be long before Matthew McConaughey took out his newborn son, Levi Alves, for his first day of surfing … I mentioned that he might be strapping his son to the front of his surfboard very soon and I was almost totally right. I love it! Finally, Someone Gets It Right

Earlier this week we saw that Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum in London immortalized the whacky Amy Winehouse with a wax statue that looked far too healthy to adequately represent the real-life person. But an industrious competitor at the Lambeth Country Show in South London finally got it right … here is a pic of one of the winning entries in the Vegetable Figure section of this year’s country fair in South London … and a pic of Miss Winehouse for comparison:



This model of Amy Winehouse is made from a potato and aubergine and was awarded first place by a team of judges from Lambeth Horticultural Society. The pallid color, the spotty skin — they surely deserve the blue ribbon. This is the closest representation of Amy Winehouse that I’ve yet to see (and still the potato looks healthier). Well done!

Isn't it an understood rule amongst peeps at rehab that you're not to talk to people on the 'outside' about what went on 'inside'?

Unfortunately, for Heather Locklear, a fellow rehabber yapped to the press.

The snitch reveals that the former Melrose Place star made a lot of friends with other patients while at the Sierra Tucson rehab facility in Arizona. There was no diva behavior.

She was "totally genuine, down-to-earth and warm."

The source went on to report that the actress kept a daily journal and revealed she's working on a couple of books.

There's also a chance that we'll see Heather in a Western flick. She apparently did a lot of riding to improve her horse handling skills.

Like almost every actress these days, the blonde beauty revealed she wants to do an album.

Her ex-husband, Richie Sambora, who has also battled addiction, reportedly called her daily.

The rehab pal also disclosed that Heather will probably walk down the aisle with current BF Jack Wagner (who was also her Melrose co-star).

Locklear also reportedly has seen the new reality show starring former friend Denise Richards. The rehab gossip said, ”Heather thinks the show is a riot — but only because it makes Denise look like an idiot.”

Hulk Hogan just had a very revealing radio interview up in Tampa.

During the interview, he said, "I'm real bad by myself. I need someone around. I'm not good by myself, and that's a bad thing. I'm learning to get better with that."

Aww, poor Hulkster.

His gorgeous and talented daughter, Brooke, is living with him these days, so at least he's got some company.

Hulk adds, "It's hard when your wife has filed for divorce, and you're not divorced yet. And, you're tired of being by yourself every single day."

And according to Hogan, Linda told him, "I never want to see you, be with you, be in love with you, with you again."

Biyatch!

But, Hulk says it was the way in which he found out about the divorce that really hurt him.

He said he was standing before a live audience about to shoot for American Gladiators, when his attorney called and broke the news to him.

That's so shady of Linda!

Hulk says, "I didn't know if I would faint, puke, took a couple of moments, I turned around and looked back at the camera, and said, welcome to American Gladiators, do you want to live forever? I had to regroup."

As for Linda dating that barely legal teen, Hulk has his own thoughts about that.

He says, "As far as my wife dating a 19-year-old, I don't condone it. Brooke is very, very upset by it."

The Hulkster himself is dating someone more than 20 years younger, though she's in her 30s.

He admits his lady friend, whom he met at a health food store, is more than just pretty. He says he loves her positive attitude. Adding, "It's different to be around someone who doesn't drink, doesn't cuss."

As for Linda, he accuses her of wasting the kids money and then some.

Saying, "To burn up all this money and have the divorce lawyers churning the clock, all this money that we saved for our children, burning up all this money that we could help John Graziano with, with a life plan, is insane. There's no rationale anymore. They're relentless."

And in another recent interview, when he was asked why he thought his marriage ended, he said, "I think the marriage ended because we grew apart. I think the first few years we were cool, for me, I hung in there forever because of the kids, some people say that's the wrong thing to do."

Crazy.

Let's add another movie to the list of remakes. Can we stop this, please????

MGM is now ready to add a new RoboCop movie to its franchise, 21 years after the first film was released.

The film is said to debut sometime in 2010 and will be directed by Darren Aronofsky.

The storyline has yet to be revealed but insiders say "it will take the sci-fi vigilante classic in more of a noir direction."

The current films have sold over 4.1 million DVDs and have a strong following in Japan, U.K., and Germany.

Is this a publicity stunt to help his career???

British actor Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings) has been arrested over allegations he assaulted his fourth wife.

Christian Bale, anyone???

Bean was arrested at his London home on Thursday night after getting into a fight with Georgina Sutcliffe.

The actor, of course, is denying the assault allegations.

Well, after her hubby was taken in by the popo, it seems like wifey had a change of heart.

"The allegations have subsequently been withdrawn and the bail charges dropped," says a police spokesperson.

The wife claims, "Everything was blown out of proportion. There is not problem between us."

And Bean just says, "'I'm fine."

Sean and his wife made headlines earlier this year when they cancelled their wedding less than 24 hours before they were set to walk down the aisle.

They eventually got married a month later.

But, it seems like wifey may VERY SOON be the ex-Mrs. Sean Bean!

Rachel Weisz looked absolutely stunning all dressed up with her fiancé Darren Aronofsky, hiding behind that black cloak and mask, and their son Henry Chance at a photo shoot in NYC on Thursday. Judging from that pumpkin bag hanging off Rachel's arm, it's a Halloween themes spread and rumor has it that the magazine scoring the shots is Vogue. The issue would line up with Rachel's new movie The Brothers Bloom, I can't wait to see the final product. Rachel looks even more gorgeous than usual especially next to her family all dressed up together. Now, I wonder if this will inspire little Henry to start thinking about his real Halloween costume?

Bad boy Thomas Dekker joins costars Summer Glau and Lena Headey at the panel for their hit FOX show, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, during Comic-Con 2008 at the San Diego Convention Center on Saturday in San Diego, Calif.

Joining the main cast members were recurring stars Brian Austin Green, Shirley Manson (Garbage lead singer) and Garret Dillahunt.

Manson, 41, will be playing Catherine Weaver, the CEO of a cutting-edge high-tech company. Dillahunt, 43, plays Cromartie (originally played by Owain Yeoman in the pilot episode), a Terminator sent back in time to kill John Connor (Dekker).

Britney Spears Nominated for Best Female Music Video at MTV Awards



Britney Spears is among the nominees of the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, it will be announced on F'N MTV Friday.

The 26-year-old VMA veteran is up for Best Female Music Video for "Piece of Me."

Spears will compete in the category against Katy Perry for "I Kissed a Girl," Rihanna for "Take a Bow," Mariah Carey for "Touch My Body" and Jordin Sparks for "No Air."

The nominees for Best Male Music Video are T.I. for "What You Know," Usher for "Love in the Club," Little Wayne for "Lollipop," Chris Brown for "With You" and Flo-Rida for "Low."

T.I. told Us at the taping of F'N that his nomination is "definitely an honor, privilege, [and an] absolute pleasure."

As for Spears' nomination, T.I. said, "Stiff competition. May the best hot chick win!"

The show will include a performance by the Jonas Brothers.

The 25th annual awards will be hosted by British actor/comedian Russell Brand. The show will air live on Sept. 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT from Paramount Studios in Hollywood.

Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson and Charlize Theron are among the A-listers who signed on for the Stand Up To Cancer telethon in September.

American Idol David Cook, Christina Applegate, Meryl Streep and Sally Field also will appear on the Sept. 5 broadcast, which will be simultaneously aired on ABC, CBS and NBC to raise money for cancer research and treatment.

Dozens of other celebrities and sports figures will also be appearing on the program, according to Stand Up To Cancer.

Ugly Betty's Chris Gorham & Wife Expecting Third Child



Ugly Betty actor Christopher Gorham and his wife Anel are expecting their third child, they confirm to PEOPLE exclusively.

"We're very excited," the couple said Monday. Already the parents of two boys – Lucas, 7, and Ethan, 4 – the college sweethearts, both 33, will welcome a girl in January.

Gorham, who played America Ferrera's lovable accountant boyfriend Henry, will next star in the CBS drama Harper's Island.

This is the third pregnancy among cast members of Ugly Betty.

Mario Lopez Named New Host of Extra



Extra is saying goodbye to host Mark McGrath and hello to new anchor Mario Lopez, once the show returns for its 15th season on Sept. 15, its producers have announced.

Current co-host Dayna Devon is due to remain as a special correspondent on the show, which has been renewed through the 2011-12 season.

Lopez, 34, who last month was named PEOPLE's hottest bachelor, joined Extra in January 2007 and co-hosted the weekend edition of the program.

"Mario ... has established himself as a highly engaging, likeable and sought-after host and personality," Hilary Estey McLoughlin, president of Telepictures Productions, said in a statement.

After three years on Extra, McGrath, 40, plans to focus on his musical career, said the producers' announcement. He is currently recording a new album with his band, Sugar Ray.

Miley Cyrus Describes Her Dream Man



Tall, dark, likes Coldplay and plays the guitar: If these descriptors apply to you and you're 17 or younger, Miley Cyrus may want to date you.

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show, the 15-year-old Hannah Montana star admits she would ideally date a "16-year-old Chris Martin," but that her mother never approves of her boyfriends.

"She doesn't like my taste in guys," Cyrus says. "She says I have terrible taste."

Cyrus also addresses the alleged feud with fellow tween-queen Selena Gomez. Months ago, Cyrus and BFF Mandy Jiroux, 20, put up a YouTube video in which they dress up as and mock Gomez, 16, and Gomez's friend Demi Lovato.

"We just thought it was funny," Cyrus tells Seacrest. "I felt bad, we didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. We didn't mean for it to be hurtful."

Cyrus has previously apologized for the video, though she says she hasn't spoken with Gomez about it. In an interview with Popstar!, she says she's "supersorry" but also implies her fellow Disney Channel star ought to view the Cyrus-Jiroux YouTube video as a compliment.

"Elvis says imitation's the greatest form of flattery," Cyrus says.

Maria Bello Is Engaged



Actress Maria Bello and boyfriend Bryn Mooser are engaged, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor star, 41, and Mooser, 28, a writer, announced their engagement in Bello's hometown newspaper, The Norristown Times Herald, in Norristown, Pa, which said the couple "fell in love over a sheer passion of politics, Africa and cryptozoology."

Bello told the New York Post's Page Six Magazine she "was always anti-marriage. I didn't understand monogamy. I couldn't figure out how that could last. And then I met Bryn and I started to understand the beauty of constancy and history and change and going on the roller coaster with someone – of having a partner in life."

Bello and Mooser have not set a date yet.

Spoiler! Twilight Saga Author Meyer Reveals Excerpt of New Book



It doesn't hit stores until Aug. 2 – but fans of Stephenie Meyer's popular Twilight Saga series don't have to wait that long for a taste of the fourth installment, Breaking Dawn.

Starting Monday, the author is offering an excerpt from the novel on EW.com. And she's excited about sharing!

"No more secrets," Meyer writes to fans. "I can't wait to finally be able to discuss everything that happens."

In the published excerpt, part of the final installment of the series, Meyer's main character, Bella, finally chooses to tie the knot with one of her possible paramours, Edward or Jacob. (Fans online have been eagerly debating which suitor Bella should choose.)

Recently, though, Meyer gave away Bella's choice, telling EW that she enjoyed penning the wedding scene. Said Meyer: "It's not a dream sequence! It's the actual wedding between Edward and Bella. The wedding! I'm a girly girl so it's something I've been waiting for too."

Did the author choose well?

Time will tell. Message boards on the series' official Web site have been shut down until the book's release date to prevent spoilers from leaking.

Miley Cyrus: The Final Days of Hannah Montana?




Update: Just heard back from a Disney rep regarding Miley Cyrus and talk about the end of Hannah Montana.

"Miley said it best when she said she's delighted to be part of the Disney family," the rep wrote in an email. "We start production on the third season of Hannah Montana on August 4 and have an option for a fourth season beyond that. We look forward to the Hannah Montana feature film coming to a theatre near you in Spring 2009."

Transformers 2 Costar Along for Shia's Rough Ride




Isabel Lucas may have earned herself a slave for life on the Transformers 2 set.

Sources tell E! News that it was Shia LaBeouf's Australian costar who was riding in the actor's truck when he had his early morning DUI crash on Sunday.

Authorities said yesterday that neither LaBeouf's then-unidentified female passenger nor the driver of the car he hit was seriously hurt. All three involved were taken to the hospital, where the women were treated for minor injuries and later released.

Lucas, 23, who lately has been spotted on the arm of Entourage star Adrian Grenier, was already back on the set of the Michael Bay-directed Transformers 2 today, a rep for Paramount Pictures told E! News.

A rep for Lucas couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

Amy Winehouse Taken to E.R. After Rx Reaction




Amy Winehouse's health is, once again, in doctors' hands.

The troubled chanteuse was rushed to a London hospital Monday night after suffering an adverse reaction to medication, E! News has confirmed.

"Please be advised that Amy Winehouse suffered a reaction to medication at home this evening and was taken to the hospital," the singer's rep, Tracey Miller, said. "Doctors have advised that she will be kept under observation overnight and is likely to be released tomorrow."

Winehouse was reportedly admitted to University College Hospital in Bloomsbury.

Eyewitnesses outside the 24-year-old songbird's townhouse saw her being escorted from the premises in a wheelchair, according to SplashNewsOnline, which first reported the latest twist in Winehouse's physical-stature saga.

The aforementioned emergency comes a week after Winehouse learned that beloved hubby Blake Fielder-Civil would be spending at least 18 more months behind bars for witness-tampering and barely a month after she spent a week undergoing various tests following a fainting spell.

Winehouse's rep, clarifying her father's initial remarks to the press about his little girl having emphysema, said that the Grammy winner was showing early stage symptoms of the chronic respiratory disease.

"Obviously, if she doesn't quit smoking, it's going to get worse, like everyone else...with patience, her lungs will recover completely," Mitch Winehouse told BBC Radio 1.

"With no more inhalation of smoke of any kind, she's going to be absolutely fine."

While photographic evidence shows that she hasn't exactly been taking it easy, Winehouse was apparently healthy enough to perform at Nelson Mandela's 90th-birthday extravaganza and England's Glastonbury festival last month.
