As we had anticipated….

Shia LaBeouf IS costing the Transformers sequel production a pretty penny.

According to Daily Variety, the drunk driver is out for a month because of his hand injury and his absence has thrown a monkey wrench into the production schedule.

An insider said there was no work stoppage but rescheduling has proven to be a logistical headache.

Scenes featuring co-star Josh Duhamel had to be moved to this week to work around LaBeouf's absence.

Another person familiar with the situation said, "Everyone had to adjust their schedule."

A source also reported that the crew lost two days of filming all because of Shia.

The film's director, Michael Bay, declined comment.

That probably means he's super pissed!

She Doesn't Know When To Shut It



Joan Rivers was recently a featured speaker at the Women of Distinction Awards Gala in Orlando, Florida.

The event is a yearly fundraiser by the Girl Scouts.

Rivers was there as part of the tribute, but she behaved less than womanly and more like a trash-talking sailor.

At a Girl Scouts fundraiser!

According to reports, Rivers used the "F" word several times and even repeatedly called women "whores."

She then continued by listing the things that the Girl Scouts didn't teach.

For example, Rivers joked that Paris Hilton didn't earn the "wearing panties patch."

Kinda funny. Kinda not. But, definitely inappropriate for an awards show honoring outstanding women and benefiting the Girl Scouts.

Things between Sluttyienna Millers's ex and Jude Law's ex are getting serious!

As we reported Wednesday, actor Rhys Ifans and rock offspring Kimberly Stewart are now dating.

But, it seems like the pair aren't quite ready to proclaim their love publicly.

Ifans and Stewart were extremely camera shy as the paparazzi caught them exiting through the back door of London's Bungalow 8 night club on Thursday morning.

The pair left the club together at around 2.10 A.M. and headed to Kimberly's apartment, where Rhys threw a cigarette and tried to kick photographers.

Solange Knowles must have hired a nanny or three to take care of that baby of hers so she can get back to work.

To start off, Solange has just been named as an ambassador for Armani Jeans.

Giorgio Armani supposedly said, "Armani Jeans expresses my vision of a young, independent, casual lifestyle with a strong and cool, fashion sensibility. Solange epitomises this style perfectly and brings to it that swing so evident in her new single, I Decided."

Girls Gone Wild mastermind Joe Francis has reached a settlement this week with a Panama City, Florida, woman who said she was 16 when filmed flashing her breasts in 2002.

Her picture was on the cover of a popular GGW video.

Francis' attorney said the woman will not be paid but will be freed of a countersuit alleging she abused the legal process.

Joe caught another lucky break!

Riddle Me Depp?



As we mentioned earlier this month, reports state that the next Batman movie will feature the Riddler as the main villain.

Jim Carrey did a good job playing the last Riddler in 1995. So, who would likely take his place?

Well, some reports claim that Johnny Depp is being offered the role.

And with the success The Dark Knight has has had at the box office, making over $440 million worldwide, the producers don't think they'll have a problem convincing Depp to take the role.

A source says the producers "are convinced that the role of the Riddler is perfect for Depp. Johnny's a pro. He'll be able to take direction from director Chris Nolan and still make the character his own."

They also plan on revisiting another one of Batman's enemies, the Penguin. And according to insiders, they are hoping the role goes to Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Depp and Hoffman?

Jay-Z + Kanye=?



Hip hop divas unite.

According to a new report, Jay-Z is set to work with Kanye West AND Timbaland on sessions for his new album.

Yeah, he's not retiring any time soon!

Early reports said that Jay's new stuff was going to be produced solely by Timbaland, but the hip-hop star has revealed that the sessions are more of a "musical competition" between his peers.

Hova says, "I'm a person that works off music. If Timbaland makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album, if Kanye West makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album; if he makes three, I'll take three. I let the music dictate the direction. You know I love Timbaland, he is like a brother to me, but until the music is done it's premature."

We can't wait to see what will come of all this.

They're all such big personalities. We wish we could be a fly on the wall of Jay-Z's studio!

Momma Winhouse is Delusional Too



Earlier in the week, Amy Winehouse's dad claimed that Wino was hospitalized this Monday because someone drugged her.

Uh huh.

Wino's mom, Janis, is spouting off a nonsensical explanation too. Well, nonsensical for Crackhouse.

Momma Wino says the hospital visit was simply a matter of human error.

"The truth is that Amy ended up in hospital this week because she mixed up the medication she's taking to help her come off drugs," she says. "She took a wrong tablet."

She went on to say that Ames' recent diagnosis with lung disease has encouraged her to steer clear of recreational drugs.

Say what????

"I really don't think she's using now," claims Janis. "Being diagnosed with the early stage of emphysema was a real jolt to her. A bit of a wake-up call."

Covering For LaDouche



Despite police proclaiming publicly that Shia LaDouche was "clearly" drunk during his DUI arrest last weekend, the actor's Transformers 2 director insists his star was sober at the time of the car crash.

In a new interview, Michael Bay says:

“You’re gonna see — that’s gonna go away. That’s fresh news… He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before."

Dude, you're not helping his cause by ADMITTING that he was drinking.

Were you with him? Did you see how much he consumed????

Adds Bay, "I spoke to him yesterday in the hospital. His two fingers are pretty mashed, but we’re figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it in the story.”

Despite LaDouche's most recent arrest, his second in less than 12 months, Bay insists that Shia is still a good person. He says, "The kid really has his head together and you know, he’s only 22. He’s doing a great job on this movie. He’s really matured since the last one and I love working with him.”

Of course you're gonna say that. You gotta put a pretty spin on things.

But, it would have been a lot braver and more responsible to condemn LaDouche's drinking and driving.

High School Musical 3 — Movie Posters!

The motion picture soundtrack will be released on Tuesday, October 21. The second song off the soundtrack, “High School Musical”, will debut on the Disney Channel next Friday, August 8.

The theatrical release of High School Musical 3: Senior Year is set for Friday, October 24.

The 16-year-old Wizards of Waverly Place star said she feels no pressure in being a role model to kids because she is confident of herself and her upbringing.

“I don’t feel any pressure. I’m pretty confident in who I am and who my parents are… I know I’m going to do the best I possibly can,” Selena said on The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet.

Selena currently has no boyfriend but, “I go on dates and have crushes and stuff,” she says. “Right now, my crush is Shia LaBeouf. He is cute and a great actor.”

Salma Hayek’s Baby Valentina



Newly single mom Salma Hayek goes shopping in Beverly Hills with her daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault on Thursday.

Valentina, 10 months, Salma’s first child, was born last year in LA. She was a third child for Francois Pinault, who has two children from a marriage which ended in 2004.

Salma, 41, worked on an animated film to be released in October called Beverly Hills Chihuahua, where a chihuahua named Chloe (voiced by Drew Barrymore) gets lost and must rely on her friends to help her get back home before she is caught by a mean Mexican dogcatcher who wants to use her to start a fur factory.

Christina Applegate Diagnosed With Breast Cancer



Christina Applegate has been diagnosed with breast cancer, a rep for the 36-year-old Samantha Who? Emmy nominee announced late Saturday.

In full, the spokesperson's statement said:

"Christina Applegate was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer. Benefiting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening."

The rep added: "Christina is following the recommended treatment of her doctors and will have a full recovery. No further statement will be issued at this time."

Kidnapped 'Snooks' Found, Father Arrested



Police have successfully nabbed Clark Rockefeller after his alleged kidnapping of his 7-year-old daughter Reigh "Snooks" Boss during a supervised visit in Boston last Sunday.

On Saturday, Rockefeller was arrested in Baltimore, and Reigh – whose mother, Sandra Boss, pleaded for the girl's return in an emotional video posting Thursday – was found safe following a tip from a "concerned citizen," according to law officials.

Rockefeller is charged with felony custodial kidnapping, assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis said, adding that Rockefeller – no relation to the American oil dynasty – will be arraigned Monday and face extradition proceedings, the Associated Press reports.

Rockefeller, who was living in a Baltimore apartment and had a 26-foot catamaran docked at a nearby marina, was arrested after he was falsely informed by police that his boat was taking on water, according to Davis.

Once the little girl was found – apparently unharmed – inside the Baltimore apartment, Reigh's "first words were she was very happy to see very nice people," said Noreen Gleason, FBI's assistant special agent in charge of the Boston division. "She was ecstatic."

Mother Fainted

Sandra Boss collapsed upon being told her daughter was found alive and was en route to Baltimore. "She fainted, in a way," said Boston Police Deputy Superintendent Tom Lee, the AP reports.

Through the police, Boss later thanked the public and the news media for their generous help in providing confidential information about Reigh's location and in abetting in her daughter's safe return.

Davis called the investigation ongoing, with authorities still trying to decipher the true background of Rockefeller – and if Reigh's kidnapping involved any accomplices.

Rep: Bernie Mac Still Alive, Despite Rumors



Despite dramatic rumors about the state of his health, "Bernie Mac is still alive and being treated in a Chicago hospital for pneumonia and is expected to make a full recovery," his rep tells PEOPLE.

"We once again ask that the press respect his privacy and that of his family," says Danica Smith.

The actor-comedian (real name: Bernard Jeffery McCullough), 50, was hospitalized in Chicago for pneumonia, Smith told PEOPLE on Friday.

Shots Fired at Party with Usher and Nelly



Gunfire erupted early Saturday at an Atlanta nightclub party sponsored by Jermaine Dupri and attended by music stars Usher, Nelly and Sean "Diddy" Combs. A security guard was reportedly wounded.

"I'm sad this incident happened because it interrupted a beautiful and loving party. But I'm happy none of my people or friends got hurt. And the party continues," Dupri tells PEOPLE in a statement.

The shots were fired at about 3:30 a.m. at the party at Dreamz ATL after some guests were allegedly double-charged by security guards to enter, DeKalb County police spokesman Marcus Hodge tells WSBTV.

Rowdy guests were escorted outside, where the shooting occurred, Hodge says. A club security guard was shot in the arm. He was treated at a hospital and released, Hodge says.

The party also was attended by actresses Gabrielle Union and Regina King and actor Larenz Tate.

"I didn't hear the shots, but around 3:30 a.m., everybody started ducking," party guest Nigel D. of realtalkny.net tells PEOPLE. "Nobody really knew what happened. It was dark in the club. And everyone was trying to get out of the VIP area, but there were so many people no one could really move."

An announcement was made that the sound wasn't shots but a bottle popping or a speaker problem, "But people, including the celebs, were still trying to leave, so I don't think anyone believed them," he says. "I got outside, and the cops shut the club down. No one inside could leave and no one outside in the parking lot could leave either. One of my friends was stuck inside the club and people were scared that the shooter was still inside."

Attorney: Shia LaBeouf's Hand 'Crushed' in Traffic Collision



Shia LaBeouf's left hand was "crushed" in a weekend traffic accident and runs the risk of infection, the actor's lawyer said Friday.

"The force of (the) impact immediately flipped Shia's vehicle over, and, as a result, Shia's left hand was crushed," said his attorney Michael Norris in a statement.

"Shia underwent four hours of surgery on Sunday and has been recovering since then," the statement continues. "His doctors remain hopeful that he will fully recover, but due to extensive surgery and the nature of the injuries, there remains a substantial risk of both infection and other complications."

LaBeouf, 22, suffered the injuries when his truck collided with another vehicle in West Hollywood at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

"We have also received information that suggests that the other driver may have been traveling upwards of 50 mph, and that said driver may not have been looking forward at the time of the accident," the lawyer says.

Hairspray's Nikki Blonsky & Father Arrested in Airport Fight



Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky and her father were arrested on assault charges Friday following a brawl involving the family of America's Next Top Model contestant Bianca Golden in a Caribbean airport, police tell PEOPLE.

The 19-year-old actress was released on bail, while her father, Carl Blonsky, remained in jail. Golden was also arrested and released on bail. Golden's mother Elaine was reportedly hospitalized with serious injuries.

Sgt. Calvin Chase from the Providenciales Police Department in the Turks and Caicos Islands said the fight erupted in the departure lounge of the Providenciales International Airport after everyone had gone through security.

"Things got out of hand in an argument over seats in the departure lounge, and several people were involved in an altercation," Chase tells PEOPLE. "There were some injuries involved."

Nikki Blonsky was charged with assault with actual bodily harm, which carries a maximum sentence of two years, and common assault, also known as threat of assault, with a 90-day maximum term.

Her father Carl was charged with grevious bodily harm, meaning the victim was injured so severely they needed immediate medical care. The charge carries a five-year maximum sentence. Carl will remain in jail for nine days until a hearing is set on his bail, says Chase.

Bianca Golden was charged with assault with actual bodily harm.

A rep for Blonsky declined to comment.

The band will release The Block on Sept. 2 – and the guys have previewed two singles from the disc. The first, "Summertime," debuted in June – the perfect synth-pop, summer anthem.

Shonda Rhimes: Katherine Heigl’s Izzie Won’t Have a Brain Tumor



There will be plenty of heart-skipping developments come fall for Grey’s Anatomy, but a brain tumor for Katherine Heigl’s character Izzie Stevens won’t be one of them.

GA executive producer Shonda Rhimes says that rumors of a medical crisis for Izzie are not true–but viewers can expect some “interesting sparks” between Alex and Izzie following their season finale hookup, reports E! online.

The other characters will also have plenty of drama to deal with outside of the OR. Though GA resident couple MerDer finally reunited last season, don’t expect the tumultuous Seattle Grace doctors to settle down. Says Rhimes, “It’s really exciting to see what’s going to come next and how [Meredith's] going to deal with living with a boy, and all the things a man like Derek, who has been married and is a grown-up, might expect.”

Another romance to keep an eye on: Callie and Erica, who will continue to explore their relationship. “They are definitely on a journey, and it’s going to be a really interesting one…also both actresses are so game; they’re so willing to do something,” says Rhimes.

Fans can also expect to see some new faces at Seattle Grace. Scottish actor Kevin McKidd (of Journeyman) will join the cast as a military doctor who comes to the hospital on leave, and will possibly be a love interest for Sandra Oh’s Cristina, who spent most of last season in a funk following fiancé Preston Burke’s departure. Says Rhimes, “I think Cristina might find him fairly interesting.”

Shia LaBeouf Shows Off His New Cast



Shia LaBeouf was spotted sporting a new cast following extensive surgery to his left hand after a July 27 accident in which the Transformers 2 star's truck flipped over in West Hollywood.

Wearing a plain white T-shirt with the left sleeve ripped off above his injured appendage, the 22-year-old took a stroll outside in Los Angeles Thursday.

Transformers 2 director Michael Bay says the film crew will find a way to work around LaBeouf's injury, and that the young actor wasn't drunk at the time of the accident, despite his arrest for a misdemeanor DUI.

On Tuesday, a sheriff's spokesman said LaBeouf may not have been at fault for the crash, since the other driver apparently ran a red light.

Bow Wow Talks Early Retirement, 'I Want to Be Will Smith'



At the ripe age of 21, rapper Bow Wow is already seriously considering retirement. "After the eighth album, I'm done," the rapper told MTV News.

In the interview, Bow Wow says acting is his passion and he wants to direct all his focus to the screen. His seventh album, The Pedigree, is due out later this year. "[I have] probably one more in me and that's eight. Like, I'm one [album] behind Nas, and that's crazy."

What kind of a path does Bow Wow see for himself? "I wanna be the next Will Smith," he says. Bow Wow is continuing his acting career with a much talked about role on the upcoming season of Entourage. He even has a sex scene.

Batman, the Unbeaten



The Dark Knight isn't king of the world, but it's getting closer.

The fastest-grossing blockbuster in Hollywood history took in another $43.8 million at the weekend box office, per studio estimates, staying on course for a potential run of $500 million—or more.

The latest Mummy movie, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon, did about what was expected, if a little less than the most outsized predictions, coming up with $42.5 million. If estimates hold, it'll finish second behind The Dark Knight.

For The Dark Knight now, it's not so much about where it places—although it's the first movie since 2007's Disturbia to top the box office three straight weekends—but how fast it movie descends the mountain of money it made in its opening days.

Yes, Madonna, You Can Go Home Again



She might be battling divorce rumors, an A-Rod scandal and a tell-all book by her brother, but maybe, at heart, Madonna's still a small-town girl after all.

The Material Girl returned to her Michigan roots Saturday for a screening of her acclaimed documentary I Am Because We Are at the Traverse City Film Festival.

"You can take the girl out of Michigan, but you can't take the Michigan out of the girl," she told the crowd of 540 people. "There's something poetic about coming back to the place where I used to come for holidays — camping trips with my dad and stepmother and my very large family. It's great bringing my movie to a place that I feel familiar."

This past Sunday, the 22-year-old actor was arrested for suspicion of a DUI misdemeanor after a collision that resulted in his truck flipping upside down.

Shia’s boss, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen director Michael Bay opened up to Access Hollywood about the situation. Here’s what he had to say:

On Shia being sober during the time of the incident: “He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before.

On writing in Shia’s injury into the movie: “I spoke to him yesterday in the hospital. His two fingers are pretty mashed, but we’re figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it in the story.”

On a conversation he had with Shia about safety days before the crash: “We had a little heart to heart the week before when he bought a brand new motorcycle and I [said] ‘Dude! You cannot ride that motorcycle! If you crash, you put 1,500 people out of work,’” the director recounted. “He said, ‘Ok, I won’t ride it, I won’t ride it, I’ll just drive my truck.’”

On Shia being a good kid after all: “The kid really has his head together and you know, he’s only 22. He’s doing a great job on this movie. He’s really matured since the last one and I love working with him.”

Nicole portrays English aristocrat Lady Sarah Ashley, who falls in love with a cattle driver, played by Hugh.

“It’s romantic, adventurous, and huge in scale,” Hugh tells EW. ”That’s what I love about Baz. His movies really are all about breaking society’s rules and love conquering all. Working with Nicole was beyond anything I could have imagined.”

Shannen Doerhty Steps Back On The Scene

Now that Shannen Doherty has wisely agreed to be a special guest star on the new Beverly Hills, 90210 spin-off series for The CW this Fall, the paparazzi are taking notice of her more and are going out of their way to snap new photos of the lass. Unfortch for Shannen, she is not used to the attention (since she’s been out of the limelight for eons now) and tried to complain to the Malibu police that she is being harassed (in an incident that occurred last weekend) … sadly, tho, the police officers she spoke with had no idea who she was. In any event, Shannen continues to soldier on and brave the unwanted attention nonetheless … here are new pics of Shannen out for dinner with a male companion at Nobu in Malibu this weekend:



That new “90210″ show can’t come along fast enough for Shannen Doherty. We know Shannen went to the Sheriff’s Department in Lost Hills (Malibu) to complain about paparazzi following her. The cops who talked to her were baffled … because they had no idea who she was. The deputy at the front desk confessed he had no idea who she was. Shannen retorted that she was on TV. The deputy, in a scene reminiscent of “Take the Money and Run,” began asking others around him if they knew who she was, but none did. We’re told Shannen then left in a huff.

OMG … I bet poor Shannen was mor-ti-fied at this embarrassing mistreatment … but on the other hand, it’s funny as hell. When last we saw Shannen out and about in public around these here parts, ’twas back in March when she was seen emerging from Nobu in Malibu with her former Charmed castmate Holly Marie Combs — either Shannen really, really, really likes the food there or she doesn’t really mind the crush of paparazzi attention since it’s very common knowledge that the paps are pretty much stationed at Nobu on a daily basis since the Malibu celebs like to eat there a lot. It looks like the Beckham, Beckinsale, Longoria-Parker posse have a new favorite hotspot. Less than a week after celebrating Kate's birthday at the Thompson Hotel, the whole crew was back out last night to party the night away in honor of Victoria's Allure cover. The ladies all looked lovely and the gentleman handsome as ever. This time, the soiree was attended by Lindsay Lohan whose lady Samantha Ronson's DJ skills were employed for the evening. It was just another night out for the cool clique in town, who seem like they could be some fun, even if Posh looked a little contemplative on her way out of the party with hot David behind the wheel.
