Tatum O'Neal: "I Was Saved by the Bell"



For Tatum O'Neal, it was the closest call of her life.

After being released from a Manhattan jail following her Sunday night drug bust, the Oscar winner spoke to the New York Post, pronouncing herself clean and expressing gratitude to New York's Finest for nabbing her before she could fall off the wagon.

"I'm still sober!" O'Neal told the newspaper. "Just when I was about to change that and wreck my life, the cops came and saved me! I was saved by the bell, by the guys in the Seventh Precinct."

X-Files Star Gillian Anderson Is Pregnant



X-Files star Gillian Anderson is expecting her second child with boyfriend Mark Griffiths, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

The couple have a son, Oscar, who was born in November 2006. Anderson also has a 13-year-old daughter, Piper, from a previous marriage.

Next up, Anderson will reprise her role as Dana Scully in The X-Files: I Want to Believe, a new movie due out July 25.

Tatum O'Neal Calls Her Kids 'Very Supportive'



Following her Sunday night arrest for allegedly buying cocaine, Tatum O'Neal says she has three very important people in her corner: her children with ex-husband John McEnroe.

"I've talked to all my kids," the Oscar winner, 44, says in video footage obtained by Entertainment Tonight. O'Neal adds that her children – Kevin, 22, Sean, 20 and Emily, 17 – have been "very supportive."

Intimates of the actress have told PEOPLE the arrest, which took place near her Lower Manhattan apartment, came as a surprise.

"I would call it a cry for help," says one friend. Another said the actress was making plans with her daughter for the summer, saying, "There was no indication" of trouble.

O'Neal is due back in court July 28. She has a TV-movie set to air Aug. 2 on Lifetime.

Neil Patrick Harris: ‘Door Is Open’ for Britney’s Return to HIMYM



Britney Spears has made two guest appearances on CBS’s How I Met Your Mother, and as far as Neil Patrick Harris is concerned, she’s welcome back any time.

“The door is open for her,” Harris told PEOPLE at an Academy screening of the show at McGee’s Bar & Grill in Manhattan. “We would love (guest stars) who get in the show’s world to stick around if they want to … but I don’t know what the writers have planned.”

Spears played Abby, a ditsy receptionist dating Barney (Harris’s character), but interested in Ted (Josh Radner’s character). Based on some foreshadowing in the script, the pop princess may very well return in season four, says Harris.

“I gave her the address to Ted’s apartment at the end of the last episode, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she showed up again,” he told PEOPLE.

During a Q&A post-screening, the cast reminisced about Spears’s time on set.

“Carter [Bays, the creator] had a great line at the table read. He introduces all the guest cast. He said, ‘And I hope I pronounce this correctly, ‘Britney Spears,’” Josh Radner told fans at McGee’s, the bar that helped inspire the series.

“There were wristbands that we wore on set, so that people didn’t come on to the set. In her world, people go up in the rafters and take pictures,” Harris said.

“We wanted to give her the freedom in a closed environment to be as free to act, and fail, and succeed as she wanted to because that’s the process of doing this,” he continued. “She was lovely, and those two weeks were actually quite swell for us.”

Sarah Larson Moving Forward After Split from Clooney



Sarah Larson is "moving forward" after her recent split from George Clooney, a friend of the model's tells PEOPLE.

"From what we've talked about she's doing well," Jennifer Morss, executive director of Aid for AIDS of Nevada and a friend of Larson's, tells PEOPLE. "You just move forward. She's a strong, very smart girl who I think will make it through pretty much anything."

Clooney, 47, and Larson, 29, split last month after about a year of dating. Though Clooney is an international star, Morss says Larson tried not to let being in the limelight affect her.

"Your whole life changes overnight, but she maintained that down-to-earth [quality]. She as a person never changed – she would say, 'Yes, I'm dating George, but I want to be known for Sarah.' "

Morss has high praise for Larson, who has been involved with the Aid for AIDS of Nevada charity for about four years. "This past AIDS walk held in April, she raised over $25,000 for the event through friends ... It's hard in this world to find people who are so authentic."

As for Larson's future, Morss says her friend will be just fine post-Clooney. "She's still Sarah, and she maintained all of her relationships with friends and family. When you don't change to go into something like that, there's not a whole lot of change to come out of it."

Officially Over?!



This is embarrassing!

Right after proclaiming her love publicly in this month's Elle U.K. for him, it seems like Slutty and her man have called it quits!

Britain's The Sun is reporting that Sienna Miller broke up with Rhys Ifans this past weekend.

And, she called it off with him over the phone!

She was reportedly in Prague and he in England working on a film.

An insider reveals that Rhys' jealousy was just too much for Slutty to handle. They say, “She compared him to a spotlight shining in her face all the time. He is heartbroken they have split. Sienna feels really sorry for him because he had slotted into her family perfectly, but she couldn’t cope with his suspicious and jealous behaviour."

Things had been awkward for the two since Sluttyena caught Rhys reading her text messages.

Rhys had become suspicious that she had rekindled her romance with ex-BF Matthew Rhys.

Jealousy is not pretty and usually kills a relationship!

Reports had been floating for a while that the pair were on the rocks.

Guilty!



Steve-O has just plead guilty to felony cocaine possession Tuesday in a Los Angeles courthouse.

We can't believe he actually plead guilty!

We're surprised he didn't try to blame it on someone else. That's what junkies do.

But, apparently, he's not a junkie anymore! The Jackass alum is almost 3 months sober.

Good for him!

If you recall, Steve-O was arrested in March after fighting with a neighbor over a fence. When cops arrived, they found narcotics on him and arrested him.

His original plead was not guilty.

As part of his sentence today, the jackass star must attend rehab for two years.

But, on a good note, that means no jail time for him.

His attorney, Barry Gerald Sands, said "Steve is doing great - he has been sober for 85 days. His probation is set for 18 months, but it may be shorter depending on his good behavior and continuation with the program he is in."

Sands also mentioned that Steve-O "is currently living in a sober house and has straightened up.”

Let's hope he really gets the help he needs.

Who knew that the 27 year-old daughter of Star Wars creator George Lucas could fight?

Amanda Lucas (above), who has been featured in three of daddy's Star Wars films, debuted her mixed martial art skills last night at the Princesses of Pain event at the Auckland Boxing Association Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand.

Bring the pain!!!!!

Amanda fought against Kiwi kickboxer Nicole Kavanagh while the event was being filmed.

The footage will end up on a new reality TV show featuring a women's international fight league.

And in case you didn't know, Amanda used to be a hip-hop teacher in San Francisco.

She had also received years of training in Brazilian ju-jitsu, Muay Thai and kickboxing.

Belinda Dunne, the promoter for Princesses of Pain, mentioned how down to Earth Amanda really is.

She says Amanda's "staying in a hostel with six other girls. Eating the same food. She has not once been a prima donna about it. Within her team-mates, none of them really give a crap (about her links to fame). Amanda is an amazing person within herself. Being in New Zealand has been good for her. She's been here since Sunday and no one's taken any notice. It's great for her first fight. It's been about her and not about who she is."

As for her nickname, Amanda "Powerhouse" Lucas, Dunne says that comes about because "She's got a lot of strength in her punch."

Dunne adds that Amanda's "got the heart of a fighter. She's got some skills in every area. She does the tough yards and she doesn't give up."

Taking It to the Top



The first ever Survivor winner, Richard Hatch, has successfully appealed his tax evasion conviction…..all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.

That's quite an achievement…the U.S. Supreme Court takes up only a small number of the appeals it receives.

Hatch was convicted two years ago of failing to pay taxes on the $1 million prize he won on the debut season of the hit CBS reality series.

He was sentenced to more than four years in prison, where he's currently sitting pretty.

Hatch's lawyer has said his client confronted producers about cheating during taping of the show, and a producer promised his taxes would be paid if he kept quiet and went on to win the competition.

CBS claims Hatch's assertions have no merit.

We'll see what the Supreme Court Justices have to say!

She Showed Up!



Dina Lohan actually took the court order to appear seriously!

Orange Oprah showed up to the divorce proceedings Michael Lohan petitioned to have be re-opened on Tuesday.

According to court docs, Poppa Lohan's totally upset because Dina's been keeping the the two youngest Lohans away from him.

A follow up to Tuesday's session has been scheduled for July 14th. The judge overseeing the case said that she's pleased that the two sides were attempting to reach a settlement, "I am encouraged to hear that the parties and counsel are working at ways to repair the relationship between the children and the father."

AND, surprisingly, there was NO COMMENT from either of the camera-loving Lohan Mom and Pop as they left the courthouse. They BOTH claimed that they intended to stop speaking to reporters while their court case proceeds.

Duh! They should have ####### done that ages ago.

"There won't be any more comments from Dina and I," Michael Lohan told reporters outside the Nassau County Family Court building.

Moments earlier, Orange O's attorney made a similar statement, "They would appreciate being allowed to participate in their children's lives without the press."

Well, they would appreciate it, but that's not gonna happen!

Vanity Fair Fallout



As we mentioned earlier, Bill Clinton is not too happy about the article written in Vanity Fair that has lead many to believe he had an affair with actress Gina Gershon.

We bet VF is loving the free publicity, though!

And if Bill isn't happy, we can only assume Hillary is going ballistic.

But, it's interesting to see the Clintons aren't the only ones upset.

Gina Gershon, the female being accused of having "sexual relations" with the former Prez is mad as hell.

Her attorneys have sent a letter of demand to Vanity Fair expressing her outrage at what she says are pure lies.

She is demanding a retraction and correction.

The Gershon letter states that the article "outrageously insinuates that Ms. Gershon has had an inappropriate sexual relationship with President Clinton. This is absolutely false."

The letter also notes that "Gershon has only been in the same room as President Clinton on three occasions," with many people present.

Ohhh, the drama!

Looks like someone didn't do their fact-checking.

Lucky break for the old fart!

Brigitte Bardot won't be going to jail for inciting racial hatred, but she will need to pony up about $23,000, according to reports.

A French court has decided to fine the old dog instead of throwing her in the slammer.

It is the fifth time Bardot's been convicted over her controversial remarks about Islam and its followers. This is her heaviest fine so far.

The former sex symbol was not in court to hear the ruling.

She should just shut her piehole from now on!

A judge has just denied a motion filed by p****boy Nick Hogan's attorney to have him placed under house arrest until he is 18-years-old, according to a new report.

The motion says Nick's unhappy with the conditions at the Pinellas County Jail.

How many times do we have to say this???? JAIL IS NOT A VACATION!!!!

Since he's not old enough to be part of the general population, the Hogan's shameful son is being held in solitary confinement.

We're glad that the judge didn't let the little bitch get his way!

The failed singer turned party DJ and her lawyers requested a hearing on Tuesday to re-open the frivolous lawsuit she brought against Perez.

Once again, saMANtha was thrown out of court, as the judge saw NO merit in her case.

Ronson still owes us our legal fees, which she's been ordered to pay!!

AND, she still owes her old lawyers money too, whom she's now suing for allegedly botching up her case against us the first time and for lying to her about their fees.

It's time for saMANtha to ask LezLo to let her borrow some cash!

Barack Obama has finally secured the Democratic presidential nomination.

According to an Associated Press report, the Illinois Senator has secured the number of delegates necessary to make him his party's official nominee.

Based on an Associated Press tally of convention delegates conducted on Tuesday, Barack has finally put to end a tenuous fight for the Democratic race to the White House.

He has now become the first black candidate ever to lead his party into a fall campaign for the presidency.

The AP tally was based on public commitments from delegates as well as more than a dozen private commitments. It also included a minimum number of delegates Obama was guaranteed even if he lost the final two primaries in South Dakota and Montana later in the day.

Even though her camp has said she won't….

Hillary better concede tonight, for her sake.

Watch Your Back, Uma



This is a bit shocking.

As you might recall, Uma Thurman's crazed fan, Jack Jordan, was found guilty earlier this month of stalking her.

And just yesterday, Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Gregory Carro released the former mental patient from jail and allowed him to go home with his parents.

We're not sure who's crazier as the judge could have kept Jordan for an additional four more months in jail but decided he had enough.

Jordan was released with three years probation.

Judge Carro also issued a restraining order for the next five years to keep the stalker away from Thurman.

And the judge warned him, "If you repeat this conduct again, you will most certainly go to jail."

Let's hope the treatment and counseling when he returns home really helps.

As for Assistant District Attorney Colleen Walsh, she tried to keep the stalker in jail, telling the judge that Jordan is "a continuing danger to the community. He is still in denial about his own actions. She [Thurman] couldn't even look in his direction [when they were in court]."

In a statement yesterday, Jordan said "Not once did I know that she had read a single thing I had written. I've never stalked a woman before in my life. The slightest word from Ms. Thurman - if she had said, 'You are frightening me, leave me alone' or as soon as her assistants said it or her family said it, I would have left her alone."

He then proceeded to plead with the judge to let him out of jail.

Adding, "I have to say my heart is filled with fear after having experienced my incarceration at Rikers and Bellevue. I've seen nothing, felt nothing positive from it."

Ya, it's PRISON!!!!!!!

Forget the five year restraining order.

They should just give him a life-time restraining order and make sure he never contacts Thurman or her family again.

Angelina Jolie Turns 33!



Happy birthday, Angelina!

The soon-to-be mother of six turns 33 today.

Jolie was born in L.A. to actors Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand. At 7, she made her big screen debut in Voight's 1982 film Looking to Get Out before going on to model. (After years of estrangement, she and Voight are speaking again; her mother died of cancer in 2007).

In 1999, Jolie won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as an asylum patient in Girl Interrupted. She is already generating Oscar buzz for her role in the Clint Eastwood drama Changeling (out this fall).

After failed marriages to Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton, she met Brad Pitt on the set of 2005's Mr. And Mrs. Smith. Jolie recently told Vanity Fair she didn't expect to fall for the actor, whose marriage to Jennifer Aniston had recently ended.

"I said I was absolutely going to marry somebody in another field, an aid worker or something..." she said. "Then I met Brad, everything I wasn’t looking for, but the best man, the best father I could possibly wish for."

Pitt and Jolie wasted no time starting their family.

Jolie — who had already adopted son Maddox from Cambodia — and Pitt went on to adopt Zahara, now 3, and Pax, now 4. Their daughter Shiloh just turned 2.

Jolie is currently pregnant with twins.

"People have made a lot of it that we're not [married], but we both have been married before, and it's very easy to get married, but it's not easy to build a family and be parents together," she recently said. "And maybe we've done it backwards, but we certainly feel married."

The actress — who travels the world as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador and donated $8 million to charity in 2006 with Pitt — said she is dedicated to ensuring her children do not lose their heritage.

"All my children are from all different parts of the world, and especially my boys," she told Us. "We do have a teacher who teaches them Cambodian and Vietnamese in our house, and they know their flags and they know their music, and they know quite a lot about their culture and [Brad and I] bring in as much as we can and we'll continue to as they get older."

She also said she and Pitt aren't done having babies.

When asked by a Swedish reporter at the Cannes Film Festival if she'd consider giving birth to her twins in Sweden, Jolie responded, "Not at this time... But, you never know, there's more babies. Who knows?"

Our favorite famewhoring father is at it again, with the second installment of his weekly blog for OK! magazine.

Says the ex-convict:

"Although I continue to have second thoughts about this blog, I am going to keep my word with OK!. And I'll continue to do so in a respectful way.

To that end, I thank, Mr. T, Mr. L, my attorney and friends for their advice.

I will however call it as I see it and speak from my heart, because "the truth", (which in essence is God) is what matters and I don't see a lot of it in this show.

What continues to frustrate me is the deception and hypocrisy. As a matter of fact, just this past week there were reports that Lindsay went to the hospital. My question is, if Dina is soooo worried about FALSE tabloid reports, why is it that her own camp lied about Lindsay being in the hospital to visit a friend, when truthfully, she had an asthma attack?

Is it so bad to say that Lindsay did have an asthma attack?Why not just be HONEST and not lie?

[Ed. Note: It was Lindsay's rep who initially said that the actress was visiting a friend. When OK! spoke to Dina last Friday night, she admitted that her daughter had suffered an asthma attack]

The frustration continues when I see my children surrounded by such unscrupulous people, who would rather party with Dina at a Boulevard Magazine party for Dina as "supermom" (that took place last year), than advise her race immediately home.

Does ego fit in here? To make matters worse, her brain surgeon of a wannabe bodyguard asks, "What the hell are they tawkin' bout?" Like he can't make sense that the house was on fire!!!!!

Is this how a "bear protects its cubs?"

Frankly, I would have driven or even flown immediately home, as we did on numerous occasions when the kids needed us!

As a matter of fact, while I was attending a Christening this weekend in Rockville Center, NY, I got a call that a guy who I had just gotten into rehab had left and was on his way to LaGuardia aiport.

Without question, Erin and I went to LaGuardia and stopped him from leaving. We bought him all new clothes, since he'd lost his, and by the grace of God and with the help of Southampton Mayor, Mark Epley who is also the Director of Seafield Center in Westhampton we were able to get this guy immediately place at his facility. This was for a stranger, so how much more should we do for our own children?!

On a more positive note, I have to say, the mask scene wasn't only suiting, but quite amusing, especially since everyone seems to be wearing one in one way or the other. And although Nana "Sullivan" puts one on, I am waiting for the others to take theirs off!

Speaking of masks, maybe next time Matt Sullivan or Paul Sullivan will appear and reveal themselves!

Until then, or next time, I will continue to hold back on the reins with hope of seeing some daylight.

Pete Wentz: Ready for Daddy Duty



Now that newlyweds Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz have finally confirmed they're expecting, papa-to-be Pete is ready to open up about the happy news.

"I'm excited to be a dad," he told me at the Op clothing launch party Tuesday night, while admitting he was initially scared. "I'm a genuinely nervous person in general. The first time I ever went to the doctor's office and heard the heartbeat, I felt totally content and at peace with everything. It feels good."

Levert Widow Files Wrongful Death Suit



Sean Levert's widow wants someone to pay.

Angela Lowe filed a wrongful-death suit Tuesday against Cuyahoga County officials, claiming his jailers neglected her hubby's medical needs before his sudden death March 31, when he was about a week into his 22-month sentence for failing to pay child support.

County Coroner Frank Miller ruled that the 39-year-old Levert, who passed away shortly after being transported to a nearby hospital, died of natural causes—more specifically, of complications from the lung disease sarcoidosis. The singer, who along with his late brother Gerald and childhood friend Mark Gordon made up the R&B trio LeVert, also suffered from heart disease and was going through alprazolam (Xanax) withdrawal.

Lowe and Levert's estate are seeking unspecified damages.

Charlie Sheen and longtime girlfriend Brooke Mueller wed in an intimate ceremony at a private estate in Beverly Hills on May 30. Brooke, 30, in a Reem Acra gown, and Charlie, 42, exchanged their own vows in front of 68 guests.

The couple shared the special day with close family and friends: Charlie’s parents, Martin and Janet Sheen, brothers Ramon and Emilio Estevez and Emilio’s fiancée, Sonja Magdevski, and Charlie’s three daughters were on hand for the ceremony. “We’re in love with both of them,” Janet tells OK!. Charlie, how does it feel to be married? It feels great. We were so excited when we got home we couldn’t go to sleep. [There was] a lot of adrenaline and excitement.

Would you say the third time’s the charm for you? Yeah, but I was telling a couple of friends last night that this feels like my first real marriage. The first one was a show, the second one was a con, and this one is the real deal.

Will you do anything differently in this marriage? I’m not going to do anything different from the two-plus years that Brooke and I have already spent together. We’re just going to continue to trust and love and support and laugh and continue to be best friends. I think that’s the real key.

Charlie, why did you go to Men’s Wearhouse for your wedding suit? I like their commercials a lot! I got tired of $3,000 suits falling apart in the middle of certain events. I didn’t wear a tux because they’re hot and they don’t breathe.

Are you planning to start trying to have a baby right away? Charlie: That’s the plan. Brooke: There’s a rumor I’m pregnant, and I’m not.

Charlie, what do your daughters think about Daddy getting married? They’re very young, but they were excited. They claimed they wanted to look as pretty as Brooke. They absolutely adore her.

How difficult was it hearing the comments your ex-wife Denise Richards made in the media on the eve of your wedding? I’m so tired of talking about her and all her shenanigans. It is what it is. On being very open to adoption: “I do feel we’re so fortunate, and we kind of owe it to humanity. We have a lot of love to give and a lot of resources.”

On her support for Barack Obama: “I don’t feel there’s any lip service with [Obama]. I don’t feel like he’s one of those jaded politicos who say one thing and are talking out of both sides of their mouth. I also feel we’ve done such damage to our reputation – and as someone who lives outside America for half the year, I overhear things that I wish I didn’t overhear. Summer Glau Welcomes Garbage



Summer Glau shoots new scenes for the second season of the hit FOX show, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, in Los Angeles on Monday. (The series launched midseason earlier this year and was the highest-rated new scripted series of the 2007-08 season).

Mary-Kate Olsen has come a long way, looking confident and sultry on the July cover of Elle. In the article after admitting that she enjoys reading the fine print — she's a pro by now — she talks a little about what it was like growing up a star, her infamous style and that twin of hers. Plus, we get to hear some style icons gush about her for a change. It's no secret that I've always been a fan of MK, but there's still something so great about seeing her really come into her own. Here's highlights:



* On Ashley: “We don’t agree all the time. The way we go about business or designing or making a decision is that we come at it from two completely different angles that at the end of the day, even when we don’t think we’re agreeing with each other, we are agreeing. We’re just getting there in different ways. Unless you’re a twin, you honestly can’t know how close twins can be. There’s such a strength, but that also makes it…” Her voice trails off. “When there’s that much love there’s…Well, there’s the opposite of everything, but it stems from love, and it stems from passion. We’re driven people. I do know I can’t work in an office. Ashley, on the other hand, loves going to an office.”

* On being sexy: “I feel like I can be sexy when I want to be,” she says. “I think all women are sexy. Some may feel it more than others. I personally think the women who are the most sexy are the women who are truly themselves, whatever that may be.”

* On her fashion: “I don’t know—you’re either on the worst-dressed list or you’ve started a fashion trend. I think there’s a real disconnect between the media’s perception of fashion and the fashion world’s idea of fashion. I don’t know why I wear some of the things I wear. I like wearing crazy things sometimes. I like being playful. Sometimes I feel like I’m playing dress-up and becoming a character. It’s sort of like an art. It can change your mood or the way that people are attracted to you.”

Lindsay Is Living Her Lohan Life More Privately

While across the country her parents prepared for a day in court, Lindsay Lohan spent her Monday night out at Matsuhisa with Samantha Ronson and Tuesday lunch on Robertson in some neon pink. Meanwhile, Michael and Dina were back battling it out over custody issues, though afterwards they both claimed to be done talking about it to the press. Yes, I'll believe that when I see it. Between the calamity that is Living Lohan and Michael's ongoing blog responses to the show, it's no wonder LL seems to be as over the drama as everyone else is. While Lindsay has had her share of public scandals and still runs her mouth from time to time, it seems like maybe she learned a lesson about keeping her private life private from her parents after all.
