Most Unlikely Superhero

It's a go!

Looks like Hollywood's newest superhero is Seth Rogan.

Yup, that guy from Superbad and Knocked Up.

Rogan's taking the lead role of Britt Reid (a bored playboy who inherits his father's crusading newspaper and spends his nights fighting crime with his sidekick, Kato) AND writing the script for The Green Hornet due in theaters in 2010.

Rogan as a playboy?

It could work…or totally not!

Charlize Theron Steps Out in the Summer Sun

Charlize Theron was happily soaking up the sun for a photoshoot in July's Glamour. Just in time for the release of Hancock, she seems carefree and ready for her big Summer blockbuster. In the issue, Charlize gives us the facts on her career, her man, and her rules to live by. Here's more:

* On the future: "I don't believe in making five-year plans. I don't want to say, 'Yes, I want to have children in the next five years,' because I don't know. I've always known that I'd like to be a mom, but I don't want to live by a schedule. If I [did], I wouldn't be living in the moment. I try as much as I can to live the life I want [right now]."

* On why she's attracted to Stuart Townsend: "He's got beautiful feet and hands. [Laughs.] Here's the thing: The Beatles had it wrong about love. They did! I think if you are in a one- or two-year relationship, love is enough. You can thrive on that. [But] when you hit years three and four, you realize that if you're going to live with somebody and not just live near somebody...you have to be nurtured emotionally and spiritually, and you have to be intrigued. Because if that intrigue runs out, you're not going to want to go home anymore."

* On working with good looking men: "I have no problem telling Stu, 'I think Will Smith is hot and I'm really glad I got to work with him.' I'd be an idiot if I said, 'No, [Will's] not that good-looking.' There'd be something wrong with me."

How I Met Your Mother Kids Pose Pretty and Talk Britney

The adorable cast of How I Met Your Mother minus Jason Segel got together to share a few red carpet laughs in NYC last night at an Academy screening of the show. Alyson looked especially fabulous in her LWD while Jason Radnor looked every bit his character in the untucked shirt, tie and jeans. At the event Neil Patrick Harris talked about, what else, the possibility of bringing Britney back. He said, "The door is open for her. We would love (guest stars) who get in the show’s world to stick around if they want to … but I don’t know what the writers have planned." While I love the show with or without Miss Spears, it would be fun to see crazy Abby one more time.

Brody Celebrates His B-Day Frolicking Shirtless in Hawaii

While Brody Jenner's buddy Spencer was hamming it up at Disneyland, the former Prince of Malibu was happy to show off his bod for the cameras in Maui. He's there celebrating his 25th birthday with his girlfriend Cora Skinner, brother Brandon, and mom Linda (yes, in the blue) who may love the cameras most of all. While we admit that Brody is a cutie, he's also the corniest ever with his intense frisbee game and parrot friend. Hilarious. We'll be seeing a lot more of Brody all over the TV this Fall between his Bromance and I'm sure an appearance or two on The Hills, but at least when he's shirtless there's some eye candy to go with his cheesiness.

Do You Think Joe Simpson Should Take a Step Back?

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo looked happy over the weekend, but the rumors of trouble between them are far from over. We already heard that Tony got back together with Jess under the condition that Joe stop meddling and this week's Us Weekly takes it even further. However, Joe defended himself by saying:

“It’s unfair to criticize me for what every manager does for his or her clients. And in this business, where people can quickly turn on you, who better than a parent to be working for his children? A parent will always be there for his kids and never give up on them. I work hard seven days a week for my girls because I love them. Why in the world would I ever want to do anything that would hurt my children?"

While we'd like to think that Joe only has the best intentions, we've seen him get in the middle of Jess' relationships with guys like Nick and John in the past.

Drew Got a New Mouth Toy For Justin's Birthday Present, Ew

Drew Barrymore got a friend's hand out of the Viper Room in LA last night, but it wasn't the familiar face of Justin Long on the end of that arm. While her boyfriend wasn't able to join her, her other activity for the day implies that he was certainly on her mind — rumor has it that Drew got her tongue pierced! Ouch and a little blech, but we all know how much these two love to make out. Plus, it was his birthday yesterday, so how's that for a present? Methinks we'll be seeing a lot more of them enjoying her new accessory when they reunite. Sweet.

Brangelina Done in By Star Magazine

Turns out Miss "I'm a lawyer" Jones ain't the only Star that's full of crap these days.

According to the cover of the latest Star Magazine, Brad Pitt and his peeps "panicked" after Angelina "collapsed" on a beach in France. Problem is -- it just ain't true.

A series of photos taken at exactly the same time on the same day show she was juuuust fine, playing with the kids and having grand old time. In fact, Brad and U2's The Edge are just helping her up off the beach ... like gentlemen should do with preggy women.

By the way, Star makes this sound like it just happened -- these pics were taken a month ago. Their rep says they stand by their story -- and that the snap in question was taken May 21.

Jessica Simpson's Dad Offers to Sell "Engagement," Enrages Tony Romo

In its new issue, Us Weekly reports that Jessica Simpson's controlling father Joe has brought her relationship with Tony Romo to the brink and was the main source behind their split in May.

A source tells Us Joe asked Romo, 28, to drop his agent so he could take over his NFL career and $67.5 million contract.

He even offered to broker a deal to sell his engagement and wedding to a magazine should Romo and Jessica, 27, get engaged. "'If you guys have a marriage, I can do the same [sell it] that I did with Ashlee,'" a source quotes Joe as saying.

As tension grew, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback gave Jessica an ultimatum: Tell dad to back off!

When asked for comment by Us, Joe defended himself, telling Us, “It’s unfair to criticize me for what every manager does for his or her clients. And in this business, where people can quickly turn on you, who better than a parent to be working for his children?"

Romo was also turned off by Jessica's partying, another source adds. "Tony goes out and he will drink socially, but he said Jess takes it to an extreme," the pal tells Us.

For now, a source says Romo and Simpson are back on, in "a talking stage."

Adds the source of their relationship, "it's in a middle-of-the-road state."

Brad Pitt Spends $50K on Art the Day Before Angelina Jolie's B-Day

A day before Angelina Jolie's 33rd birthday, Brad Pitt dropped more than $50,000 on art in Switzerland.

On Tuesday, Pitt was chauffeured in a BMW to Switzerland's Art Basel fair, where he spent more than two hours snapping up goodies.

He bought two bronze chairs designed by Max Lamb (at $25,000 a pop!), a fair attendee tells Us.

He also scored a foam and fiberglass "Family Lamp" (see left) and reportedly a $293,000 table.

"He's really interested in architecture and design," the onlooker says of Pitt (who posed in photos with Ambra Medda, the director of Design Miami/Basel).

Jolie said Pitt's passion for arts and architecture first attracted her to him.

(Check out their most romantic moments here.)

"I don’t see him as an actor," she recently told Vanity Fair. "I see him very much as a dad, as somebody who loves travel and architecture more than being in movies.”

Rosie O' Donnell: Elisabeth Hasselbeck Is "Very Attractive"

Opposites attract!

Despite their political differences (which lead to many feuds on The View), Rosie O'Donnell finds conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck nice on the eyes!

"Were you not attracted to Elisabeth Hasselbeck?" Howard Stern asked on his Sirius Satellite radio program Monday. "When you look at her physically, you don't want her?"

"See, the want is the big thing," O'Donnell responded. "I find her very attractive. She's very attractive, I think."

"Her body is perfect," Stern said.

"Have you seen her biceps?" O'Donnell replied.

But O'Donnell's true fantasy woman is pregnant Angelina Jolie (who turned 33 today).

"She's got a little darkness - a little kind of weird sexuality going on," she told Stern.

Audrina Patridge: Heidi Montag "Shouldn't Get Married Right Away"

Twenty-one-year-old Heidi Montag recently told Us she's ready to walk down the aisle with Spencer Pratt, but pal Audrina Patridge says she may want to reconsider.

"I think she's still young, and I just feel like she shouldn't get married right away," Patridge, 23, told Us at the Dodge Challenger Celebrity Drag Race in Rosamond, California, on Tuesday. "They should be together and see if they can actually live together for a year without fighting.

"Once you are married," Patridge added, "you're married."

She said her summer has been busy "filming the fourth season of the show."

Does she ever get tired of the cameras tracking her every move?

"I've kind of just accepted it, but there is a point where I want to get back into my private life and get into acting more," said Patridge, who is currently shooting her first movie.

Asked if she's still buds with Lauren Conrad, she replied, "Ummm....yeah."

Mary-Kate Olsen: "It's Nobody's Business" if I'm Rich

Forbes estimates Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen have a net worth of $100 million and Parade reported the two earned $17 million last year.

But Mary-Kate — who turns 22 on June 14 — tells July's Elle, "It's nobody's business if I am or I'm not [rich].

"I mean, if you want to have a discussion about fame and what does it really mean to be famous these days, what's celebrity anymore? What's media? That's different. I have a completely different point of view about all this because I was never thrown into it.

"I grew up in it," she says. "It wasn't something that I aspired to. It's just something I knew. For me, I just worked. I had a job. I've had a job for 21 years."

See her biggest style slip-ups.

She also spoke out on:

Sister Ashley:
“We don’t agree all the time. The way we go about business or designing or making a decision is that we come at it from two completely different angles that, at the end of the day -- even when we don’t think we’re agreeing with each other -- we are agreeing. We’re just getting there in different ways. Unless you’re a twin, you honestly can’t know how close twins can be. When there’s that much love there’s ... well, there’s the opposite of everything, but it stems from love, and it stems from passion. We’re driven people. I do know I can’t work in an office. Ashley, on the other hand, loves going to an office.”

Heath Ledger's death:
"I'm not going to comment on that — I won't give you a word about that in the nicest way possible. Let's move on."

Her Wacky Style:
"You're either on the worst dressed list or you've started a fashion trend. I think there's a real disconnect between the media's perception of fashion and the fashion world's idea of fashion. I don't know why I wear some of the things I wear. I like wearing crazy things sometimes. I like being playful. Sometimes I feel like I'm playing dress-up and becoming character. It's sort of like an art. It can change your mood or the way that people are attracted to you."

Sexiness:
"I feel like I can be sexy when I want to be... I personally think the women who are the most sexy are the women who are truly themselves, whatever that may be."

Her 2004 rehab stint [for anorexia]:
"I have never talked about that, or been quoted about that. Look, I think it's important that what anybody goes through -- and I'm not saying that it's true or not true — you realize it's part of growing up. Everybody is going to go through hard times. It's a part of life. I think the hardest part to get to is that point of asking for help or reaching out to other people and being honest with yourself. I do not want to go through my life with my eyes shut. And I don't want to go through it with a closed mind. I want to be aware of things. And I'd rather know than not know."

Therapy:
"Yeah, I talk with people. I think it's important. I wouldn't call 'em a shrink, but it's good to have communication with whomever, whether it's a mentor or a therapist or a psychiatrist, whether it's your mom or your dad or your best friend. I think at some point I had to say that I deserve to be happy. As Diane [von Furstenberg] would say, 'It was okay to love myself and be my best friend.' I think everyone deserves that."

Life as a celebrity:
"It's weird to be called a celebrity... I mean, if I see a paparazzi shot of me walking that's in a magazine or something at some event, it's as if I see it from an outsider's point of view. There's like a character, almost, and then there's me. I think it's kind of entertaining."

With 'Zohan,' Robert Smigel will mess with you

Sandler. Apatow. And Smigel. Of the 'Zohan' creators, he's the under-the-radar guy -- but with quite a track record of his own.

NEW YORK -- Talk about your high-concept lowbrow humor.

In the big-budget action-comedy “You Don’t Mess With the Zohan” (which arrives in theaters Friday), Adam Sandler portrays the titular Zohan, an ultra-lethal Israeli counterterrorist operative who tires of his part in his country's war on terror, fakes his own death and comes to New York in pursuit of his dreams: He really wants to be a hairdresser.

Equal parts Casanova and killing machine, he's loved by women and feared by men -- a guy with a terrible mullet who brushes his teeth with hummus, can catch bullets with his nostrils and dispatches Palestinian terrorists while wearing Daisy Duke cutoff shorts. As well, the character seems to have a thing for overweight and elderly ladies. And Zohan's customers queue up the block not only for his acrobatic dye jobs and perms but also for the complimentary roll in the hay (his salon's utility room standing in for a boudoir) that he delivers after each coif.

For all his crude and vivid contradictions, the character is the brainchild of an impressive comic triumvirate: Sandler (whose movies have combined to gross more than $2 billion worldwide), comedy mogul Judd Apatow (writer-director of "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and producer of such hits as "Superbad" and "Knocked Up") and the less famous but nonetheless beloved "comedian's comedian" Robert Smigel, who also executive produced "Zohan" and appears in a cameo as a hard-haggling Israeli electronics store employee.

Over tea in a swanky New York hotel, Smigel explained the division of labor.

"Adam came up with the idea for this movie totally independently six years ago," Smigel said. "Judd was mostly involved with an early first draft. He did a lot of research on the Mossad and he showed me some Clint Eastwood movies -- this guy coming into town and being taken in by the locals and being very quiet. And I kind of injected the whole electronics store element and the idea of Israelis being horny."

If the name doesn't ring a bell, Smigel's cultishly popular cultural offerings might: He writes and performs on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien," responsible for one of its funniest recurring bits, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog -- a potty-mouthed canine hand puppet with a Borscht Belt accent and a hilarious habit of verbally demolishing the talk show host's guests. Smigel has also been a writer for "Saturday Night Live" since 1985, winning two Emmys for his work on the show and producing its animated "TV Funhouse" segments (among the best known is "The Ambiguously Gay Duo," about a couple of Batman and Robin-esque superheroes whose sexuality is constantly questioned while they fight crime). Comedy Central will release a two-DVD set of the short-lived "TV Funhouse" series in July.

Dressed in a flannel shirt and jeans, the New York native, 48, gives off the rumpled air of someone accustomed to making his presence most acutely felt from behind the camera. He befriended Sandler when the two worked together on "SNL" in 1990 and has done uncredited script polishes on a number of the comedian's movies over the years. Fittingly enough, their first sketch on the show was called "The Sabra Shopping Network" -- a vivid imagining of an Israeli version of QVC (in which all prices are negotiable but bargains are hard to drive).

"He's one of my best friends," Smigel said of Sandler. "I always thought he was one of the most brilliant people I worked with at 'SNL.' Very subversive. Because he would always come off like a dumb guy, not just to the audience but to the staff on the show. People were dismissing what he was doing as sketch comedy but he was deconstructing it, breaking down sketch comedy in a cynical but friendly way."

As executive producer on "Zohan," however, Smigel stuck to his priorities. Job one, of course, was to be funny. But the writer-producer-actor -- whose humor derives its power from being broad and scatological and anything but politically correct -- made it a point to avoid dehumanizing Zohan's Palestinian nemeses.

In one scene in which Zohan is dodging grenades and punching terrorists through walls, a turban-wearing character comments, "Oh, so we're the bad guys?" And as Zohan kicks him off a balcony onto a pile of ammunition boxes, the terrorist asserts: "It's more complicated than that."

"We wanted to convey that Zohan's had these fights a million times with these guys to the point where they can have crazy philosophical arguments while they're having crazy action moves," Smigel said. "I didn't want to take one side or the other, or for the movie to have an answer to the Middle East crisis. If there is a message, it's that hate is an institutional thing that's learned."

He paused for a moment before finishing his thought: "But it wouldn't be funny if absolutely nobody was offended."

Bruce Willis game for "Kane" thriller

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Bruce Willis is in negotiations to play a death row inmate in "Kane & Lynch," a thriller based on a video game.

Willis' character, Kane, and a schizophrenic killer named Lynch, are sprung by Kane's former team so that he can retrieve a stolen fortune. Kane travels to Los Angeles, Japan and Cuba, with Lynch acting as the team's watchdog in order to save his wife and daughter.

The Lionsgate project is eyeing a fall start, with a hunt now on to find an actor to play Lynch. Veteran stunt coordinator Simon Crane will make his feature directing debut on the film. The game was published last year by Eidos Interactive.

Willis is shooting "The Surrogates," which Jonathan Mostow ("Terminator 3") is directing for Disney. Crane is the stunt coordinator and second unit director on the sci-fi movie.

Kung Fu Panda - A Dose of Awesomeness

Kung Fu Panda is a thrilling tale set in ancient China where destiny looks for help in the unlikeliest of places.

Po's (Black) greatest wish in the entire world is to be one of the best of the best Kung Fu masters in all of China and even revered by his heroes, the Furious Five: Tigress (Jolie), Monkey (Chan), Mantis (Rogen), Viper (Liu), and Crane (Cross).

When he is somehow proclaimed as part of a legendary prophecy, this daydreaming, food loving, noodle-making panda will have a lot to learn before obtaining the secret of unlimited power. It doesn't help that his teacher, Master Shifu (Hoffman), is extremely skeptical over his abilities, or that Po's abilities usually take place in his dreams.
Worse, the powerful and resentful Tai Lung has escaped from Chorh-Ghom prison, bringing a great wrath for all those who have placed him there, or get in his way. It will take a great understanding of how to turn Po's weaknesses into his strengths for Master Shifu to find any peace ever again.

Full of excitement, resonating with positive values, and laugh-out-loud hilarious, DreamWorks's Kung Fu Panda is a must-see for everyone. The animation is extraordinary; everything comes to life from the swaying of the grass to the shadows in the sun, to the serenity of colors in the Jade Palace. Plus, jaw-dropping martial arts and action sequences will keep you mesmerized and bulge your eyes with awe. They're that good, no lie.

With an impressive cast voicing these lovable characters in a solid storyline, illustrated with superb computer graphics (CG), the humor comes across very well both physically and aurally. The only time I felt that the overall sound of the film needed to be a lot louder, either in volume or bass, is at the beginning of the film, but it gets better.

From Mantis to Po, you'll never again underestimate someone's abilities because of their shape or size.

Final Analysis: Kung Fu Panda is action-packed with constant laughter, an amazing plot, and loads of fun. After seeing this film, you'll never be able to look at chopsticks the same way again. Po would want you to go see it in all its "bodacity! Skadush!"

Paparazzo Arrested For Stalking Jamie Lynn!

Sometimes aggressive photogs can go too far!

Snapper Edwin Marino has been arrested for stalking the very pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears in Mississippi.

The Los Angeles-based photographed posted bond on Tuesday and is scheduled to appear in court next week.

Authorities in Liberty, Mississippi (near the Spears homebase of Kentwood, Louisiana border) said Merino wouldn't leave Jamie Lynn and her fiance, Casey Aldridge, alone.

The paparazzo, of course, is denying the allegations.

If this would have been in L.A., the photog could have stalked all he wanted!

Shania Twain: I Need to Heal My 'Broken Heart'

Shania Twain is opening up to fans for the first time about her "broken heart" after splitting from her husband, Robert "Mutt" Lange, last year after 14 years of marriage.

"As I am sure you have seen or heard; I am going through a rough time personally in my life," the country star writes in a message to fans posted on her Web site Thursday. "I wanted you all to know that I could not be getting through this without you. Your letters, emails and words of encouragement give me strength. Your overwhelming support reminds me to smile, no matter how deep the pain and to always be grateful for all the beautiful blessings in my life."

Twain, 42, and Lange, 59, who have a 6-year-old son, announced their separation last month. Sources tell PEOPLE that Lange's relationship with another women, Twain's close friend Marie-Anne Thiébaud, was the reason behind the split. Both Lange and Thiébaud have denied an affair.

"I have so much to say but I know the best way for me to speak is through my music," continues Twain. "This is my therapy, my passion, and my love. I look forward to sharing it with all of you as I begin this new journey.

“I need some time to heal this broken heart but make no mistake; I will be back and hopefully stronger than ever. Thank you my friends, from the bottom of my heart."

Jessica Simpson Soaks Up Nashville Atmosphere

Jessica Simpson proved to be both a tourist and an attraction during a visit to Nashville Wednesday.

The singer-actress, 28, surprised fans with an unannounced autograph session at the Block Party kicking off the annual CMA Music Festival.

Although she did not perform, her music played – specifically, her new song "Come on Over," the leadoff single from her as-yet-untitled first country album, due in the fall.

Later that night – clad in black short-shorts, a white shirt, a fitted black blazer and high heels – Jessica joined dad Joe Simpson and some others at Lime, a hip new Latin fusion restaurant in midtown Nashville.

Absent from the meal was her boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who was at practice with his team back in the Lone Star State.

Eventually Simpson joined a few female fans in one of the restaurant's other booths and sat for photos with even more admirers before heading back to her own table.

Jodie Sweetin: From Meth Addict to New Mom

Former Full House star Jodie Sweetin has a new role that comes with a full heart: mother to 7-week-old daughter Zoie.

"You look at your baby and think, 'Wow, I did that.' It's really amazing," Sweetin, 26, tells PEOPLE in its new cover story, on sale Friday.

As Zoie happily snoozes on the shoulder of her dad, Sweetin's husband of 10 months Cody Herpin, the marveling mother says, "I'm still like, 'Oh, wow, I'm a mom.' It's the most overwhelming, exciting thing I've ever done."

And a far cry from where she's been.

Best known for playing spunky middle child Stephanie on Full House from age 5 to 13, Sweetin then landed a real-life role that cast her against type: battling an addiction to crystal meth.

At 22, Sweetin was a college student married to LAPD officer Shaun Holguin and taking a break from acting when she first tried the drug. Six months later, she had developed a crippling daily habit that she kept secret from her husband. That is, until in 2005, when she was hospitalized after a night of partying.

Sweetin and Holguin divorced after she left treatment, while she was spending six months in sober living with people from rehab. She met Herpin, a film transportation coordinator, through friends, and the couple began dating in May 2007 – and wed just two months later.

When their whirlwind romance was quickly followed by a pregnancy, says Sweetin, "it was a blessing."

It's A Wrap

Transformers 2, which has been filming for the past couple of days in Bethlehem, PA has wrapped production early this morning. Last night was the final full night of filming ... that wasn't so full, due to a massive rainstorm that plagued the area for most of the night. Here are a few pics from the final night of filming at the Bethlehem Steel plant which, for 3 days, was turned into a Hollywood movie set for the Transformers sequel:

Rain tested patience of fans at set of 'Transformers 2' before filming in Bethlehem concluded. Crews began packing up equipment this morning. He was one man, alone on the Fahy Bridge in Bethlehem at half past midnight Wednesday, huddled under a giant black umbrella in the driving rain. Aaron Gabriel just wanted to see fiery explosions in ''Transformers 2'' on the big screen next summer and say he was there to witness the big bang in person. He would have to wait almost three more hours until the rain took a time-out, long enough for a pyrotechnics display on the former Bethlehem Steel blast furnaces to light up the sky, sending plumes white smoke into the air. To see something like that, Gabriel was prepared to wait until the sun came up. "It's 'Transformers.' It's a huge blockbuster," he said. "How often does something like this happen in Bethlehem? I'm surprised more people aren't out here in ponchos." After three days of mayhem at the Steel site, filming in Bethlehem was expected to wrap up early this morning for the DreamWorks movie about shapeshifting robots from another planet. "Transformers 2," the first big budget movie to be shot locally in years, has drawn crowds willing to wait for hours outside the set to see if director Michael Bay would live up to his reputation for blowing things up. But only a handful -- those willing to stick it out, rain or not, until almost sunrise Tuesday and Wednesday -- witnessed the explosions. Gabriel waited on the bridge the first night along with hundreds of others. As the night wore on, patience grew thin and so did the crowd. By 5 a.m. Tuesday, Gabriel was one of about four people on the bridge who saw the first series of pyrotechnics displays, small bursts of firecracker-like explosions that, he said, crept halfway up the blast furnaces, followed by simulated automatic weapons fire. The clear weather on Monday night and early Tuesday had allowed Bay to capture most of the wide-angle shots of the Steel that he needed for the scene, said Bethlehem Mayor John Callahan, who has been in close contact with the movie crew. The sequence filmed at the Steel takes place in a fictional Chinese city and includes "Transformers 2" stars Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson, according to movie officials. In the scene, which will open the movie, Duhamel and Gibson's characters will join with Chinese police and military to fight off at least one of the computer-generated "Transformers" robots. The scene also includes Black Hawk and Apache helicopters ... On Wednesday morning, the filmmakers had counted on blowing up several buildings they had assembled on the Steel site. "That was the money shot for the scene they were shooting," said Callahan. "That was the scene that had to happen." But the steady rain threatened the pyrotechnics, the blisteringly hot lights and the helicopters flying close to the Steel's blast furnaces. "They were concerned about not getting that [scene] done," Callahan said. "But they did." Despite the weather delays, the crew does not plan to film in Bethlehem for a fourth night, Callahan said, noting that Bay might film additional close-ups for the scene elsewhere. By 3 a.m. Wednesday the rain had stopped, and the distant rumble of a train on the tracks below the Fahy Bridge sounded enough like a helicopter to send the onlookers rushing for their binoculars. It was one of several false alarms. Minutes later a real helicopter began circling the set, making several passes with a spotlight. Suddenly a blast on the set, more than 1,000 feet away, shook the bridge as white smoke filled the air, prompting a chorus of cheers from the four movie fans. Sparks shot up the blast furnaces, and the bursts were followed by the sound of rapid gunfire. "That was big," said Gabriel, laughing. "All right, what's next?" ... The blast was loud enough to send about a dozen neighbors rushing to join Gabriel's group on the bridge, hoping to catch a glimpse of the explosion that lasted only seconds. About half stayed long enough to see a second blast at around 4 a.m., a repeat of the first. Then the rain came. The group became smaller and smaller. Gabriel stayed. Just before the sun rose, he saw what he had been waiting for: Another explosion sent a giant fireball shooting 20 to 30 feet in the air, he said. "It was awesome," he said. "It was completely worth it, getting soaked in the rain. ... Call me a fool for loving the big bang from an action film."

It turns out that not only were Josh Duhamel and Tyrese on set this week in Bethlehem but so was Megan Fox. She sneaked into and out of town without anyone knowing she was there ... until she had left, that is. Much love goes out to Pink reader Nina for sending me all the updates from Bethlehem, PA this week ... I can't wait to find out where the next scenes for Transformers will be filmed.

Boys Will Be Boys

Despite the fact that Pete Wentz just got married to Ashlee Simpson and John Mayer has been lurvin' all up on Jennifer Aniston lately, the guys have been spending quite a lot of time together. This new friendly relationship got started in the blogosphere ... first Pete blogged about his love for John and then John blogged about his love for Pete -- and the rest is history. Here are a few pics of Pete arriving at John's place here in SoCal this week for, what appears to be, a little jam session/playdate:

In all honesty, I'd be very interesting in hearing what these two have got going on in these jam sessions. It's entirely possible that we may never get to hear what a collabo between these guys might sound like but something tells me that they might be up for releasing any new tunes they concoct together. I'm also interested in knowing if they prefer playing GI Joes or Transformers.

The Prince Of Wails ... And Hysterical Cheers

Prince Harry inspired raucous cheers on his visit to Cardiff earlier today, delighting the droves of admirers (mostly female) who came out and filled the streets to try and catch a glimpse of His Royal Hotness. Here is a pic of Harry holding a baby named Lexi which brings to mind the famous photos of his late mother Princess Diana who used to love holding babies as she traveled the world:

It was a reception fit for a pop idol -- and Prince Harry did his best to provide entertainment for the crowds. Hundreds of hysterical girls strained against crash barriers and burst into tears at the sight of him yesterday. Visiting Cardiff on only his second full day of solo official engagements, the 23-year- old prince looked taken aback as he stepped from his official car to hear his name being screamed. But he gamely waded in, posing for mobile phone photographs, shaking hands, holding a baby and even giving a couple of star-struck teenagers a quick hug. As he chatted with flag-waving schoolchildren at Cathays High School, 12-year-old Hollie White burst into tears. "I was just so excited to see him ... I want to see the Queen and Simon Cowell next," she sobbed. Harry told fellow redhead Matthew Taylor, 12: "Hey, gingers love gingers." The prince visited the school because it is twinned with Molapo High in Lesotho, the poverty-stricken African kingdom he supports through his charity, Sentebale. Afterwards he was driven to the University Hospital of Wales to meet workers from a Lesotho-linked charity of which he is patron. Here the scenes were equally enthusiastic and while he has never shown any intention of settling down before, the party-loving prince looked decidedly paternal as he took a walkabout. After being handed five-month-old Lexi Hailstone, who suffers from a rare chromosomal disorder and has battled meningitis, he cooed: "Isn't she sweet", before cheekily holding her up to the photographers and joking: "It's not mine!". Lexi's mother Natasha Martin, 19, said: "He was really lovely, very down to earth. He said, 'Do you want me to hold her?' He looked like he didn't want to give her back." ... Last night, the prince gave his first public speech to an event at the Millennium Stadium, joking as he took the stage: "I paid the kids to scream." Although he has carried out occasional public engagements, Harry's last full day of visits took place around his 18th birthday in September 2002, when he met young offenders and went to Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Yeah, Harry is a rock star. Prince Wills may be the next in line to the throne of England (after their father Prince Charles) but Harry seems to be the king of the British people's hearts ... especially the portion of the British population that is female and aged 8-25. This image of Harry is nice and all but I think I much prefer the party pics of Harry cutting loose -- those pics always seem to be very entertaining.

SJP Does Marie Claire Magazine

Sarah Jessica Parker, star of the current blockbuster #1 movie Sex and the City, may be featured on the cover of the new issue of Marie Claire magazine but all of her primary SaTC castmates and some of the production folks were interviewed for the mag, each one giving insightful quotes on the TV series, the gossip surrounding the movie and, of course, the matter of sex. Here are a few quotes from the SaTC cast member interview:

IN THE BEGINNING

Darren Star (SATC creator): My idea was that this could be sort of a Mary Tyler Moore Show for the new millennium. It wasn't about T&A. It would be R-rated, but it had to be funny.

Cindy Chupack (executive producer): On HBO we could use language and show sex without pressure from sponsors—like when we wanted to do an episode about Miranda's deciding whether to keep the baby or have an abortion. I don't know how you could have done that on network television as honestly as we did. Have your main character admit that she'd had one? It felt like a luxury that there was no pressure other than what would be true for these characters.

Chris Noth (Mr. Big): It started slow and then it just sort of exploded. All of New York just changed at the same time, really. It all became Cosmos and the Meatpacking District. I remember being really sort of in shock and awe.

THE GOSSIP

It was said you were the holdout on making the movie. Why?

Kim Cattrall (Samantha Jones): Four years ago I was going through a painful public divorce, the series was coming to an end, and my father was diagnosed with dementia. I felt it was time to be with my real family. A year-and-a-half ago, when I was sent the script, I was ready and strong enough to revisit Samantha. In some ways, I'm glad we waited. The script and the experience of making the movie was the best possible reunion.

Mario Cantone (Anthony Marantino): Certain people were vilified in some articles, and others were vilified in other articles. It's interesting how they never write stuff like that about the men on The Sopranos. They always go after the women. They just do.

BETWEEN THE SHEETS

Darren Star: These were women who were objectifying men. And it was sort of jarring. Men aren't used to hearing themselves depersonalized and referred to as Mr. This or Mr. That. I think if you had a show with that sort of locker-room talk from a bunch of guys talking about women, it would be a little "yuck."

Kristin Davis: One time [when Charlotte dropped her robe in front of Trey], I mistakenly showed my nipples. But it was a hard scene to shoot, and I had enjoyed that take so much, I said OK. HBO sent me a copy to approve.

Cynthia Nixon: Most of my sex scenes were comic—the dirty talker, the marathon man, the guy who wants to kiss my ass and wants me to do the same to him.

Top Ten Bad Accents That Happened To Good People

Lindsay Lohan Set to Star in Labor Pains

See how I avoided one of those fake-sensational headlines like "Lindsay Lohan Has Labor Pains"? She's not actually pregnant (as far as we know) but she is set to star in the indie comedy Labor Pains alongside great comedic actors like Chris Parnell and Cheryl Hines.

The movie — which was "in limbo" for a while due to a lack of funding — follows "an assistant (Lohan), working in a stuffy publishing house, who pretends to be pregnant in a desperate attempt to keep her nasty boss from firing her."

Apparently Lohan read the script and loved it saying, "It is a very different role for me and I look forward to the challenges it will present, and I love working on comedies."

Producer Rick Schwartz convolutedly added, "I didn't know Lindsay before this, but we looked each other in the eye three months ago, and she has done everything I could have asked." They looked each other in the eye? What?

Anyway, the Lohan has work again! Production is set to begin in just a few days, on June 9. Here's hoping she can hold down this job. . .

Rosie O'Donnell Declares: I'm Waiting to Remarry Kelli Carpenter

Despite California's Supreme Court recently striking down a law banning gay marriage, Rosie O'Donnell says she and Kelli Carpenter won't be walking down the aisle anytime soon.

The two — who wed in 2004 when the mayor of San Francisco allowed same-sex marriages — are "going to wait until it's legal everywhere, because otherwise, I said to Kelli, we'll be going around touring the country on the marriage tour every state by state," she told AP Radio.

"Once it gets to be at the federal level, once every state recognizes the marriages of every other state, I think that'll be the time we would do it," she said.

Could it happen soon?

"Yes," O'Donnell, 46, said. "The same way it was illegal for black and white people to marry at one point and people couldn't conceive of that ever being different, I do think that two consenting, law-abiding adults who want to share their life together should be allowed to do that."

Ellen DeGeneres said she and Portia de Rossi will wed soon.

We need to get some video of this ASAP!

Update:

Says another attendee, "she was definitely a complete mess…she was rambling incoherrently and said that she had been up for 46 hours..finally getting off the stage and saying she thought she needed some sleep. I doubt if Bravo will air the entire thing uncut. At one point she said something like," you know what I'm talking about boys I meant what I said before..testosterone and sluts…" and trailed off onto something else.. it was bizarre…"

E.T.'s Brangelinagate Saga Continues

The pressure is on them to acknowledge their mistake and apologize!

And, they've been proven as intentional liars!

According to a new Associated Press report, Entertainment Tonight reps were informed by the Brangelina camp that an impostor posing as Jolie's assistant falsely provided the celeb news show with information about the non-existent birth (yet) of the Wondertwins.

And yet E.T. went on to report the officially disputed news on air last Friday.

Furthermore, it contradicts the show's statement that claimed it first learned of an impostor from a letter from Jolie's attorney Monday — three days after the broadcast:

Entertainment Tonight takes this very seriously and is, of course, concerned that the show may have been victimized by someone allegedly posing as a member of Ms. Jolie's team. We are actively investigating the matter and are reaching out to law enforcement agencies.

- Last Friday morning, ET posted a story on its site and sent an e-mail alert to media outlets saying it had confirmed the birth of the Brangelina twins. The Associated Press picked up the report.

- ET did not name its source at the time. It later revealed that the report was based on e-mails from someone it thought was Jolie's assistant, Holly Goline.

- Shortly after the story was posted but several hours before the broadcast aired, Goline told ET that she was not the person who provided the news, according to an insider with direct knowledge of the conversation. That account was reportedly confirmed by another person close to Jolie.

- "ET was told before the broadcast on Friday that their information came from an impostor," said the second person. Both people spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to comment publicly.

- The people said there were several conversations Friday, by e-mail, text message and telephone, between Goline the Jolie assistant and ET.

- On Friday night, ET host Mary Hart said on the air, "Just this morning, a source who says she was inside the delivery room tells us yes, the babies were born and yes, mother and babies are fine." This is all after Jolie's assistant told the news source that an impostor provided the news mag with the info!!

- Later that night, the manager of Jolie's partner, Brad Pitt, told AP that the babies had not been born.

- The show said in a statement Wednesday that it first learned of an impostor from a letter from Jolie's attorney Monday — three days after the broadcast.

Hmm…smells like a lie to us!!
