Family Feuding



The soap opera continues!

Will justice prevail???

On Wednesday, three relatives of the gal who allegedly appeared to have sex with R. Kelly as a 13 year old in the infamous video tape, testified on behalf of the defense.

All three witnesses claimed that the gal did not appear on the tape.

To date, seven of the alleged abuse victim's relatives have taken the stand.

Prior to Wednesday, four family members testified on behalf of the prosecution and confirmed the girl's identity in the vid.

They said vs they said!

When prosecutors pressed one of the 'defense' relatives about whether the alleged victim's family "has pretty much split in half as a result of this incident," the relative answered softly, "Yes."

Sad.

Also, in an attempt to discredit the 3some lady (one of the prosecution's key witnesses) the defense revealed on Wednesday that she had her baby daddy approach R. Kelly about a $300K payment to 'keep quiet'.

We hope the defense wraps up their part of the case soon.

We want the jury to go into deliberations!

We want a decision!!!

According to the NY Times, Entertainment Tonight has reason to believe that the 'impostor's' e-mail address actually IS a legitimate address for Angelina Jolie's assistant.

It's reportedly making Brangelinagate that much harder for the show to navigate through.

The Times also brings up a good point — whether or not there was an impostor, the bigger question still has not been satisfactorily answered — was ET wrong when it reported that the Wondertwins are among us?

Angelina has not been seen or photographed for well over 10 days…she should just show the world her bump to put the issue to rest!

A Hills Spinoff - Without Speidi!!!

Reports keep circulating that MTV is preparing to make a spinoff of their "reality" show The Hills.

They need to milk that cow!

And the lucky winner of their own spinoff show is?

Heidi & Spencer Whitney Port.

The show will consist of a crew following around Whitney as she becomes a jet-setter traveling coast-to-coast while she "works" for a fashion PR firm.

And, to make the show interesting, Whitney will magically become friends with a blonde group of New Yorkers.

The home worth an estimated $10 million is set to be auctioned by a bank on July 1.

The boxer has reportedly declined to comment on the child-support allegations and the foreclosure.

Lohan Gets A Job



Someone was dumb enough to hire her!!!!

We're AMAZED the recovering addict, who was in rehab three times in 2007, was even able to get insured to work! It must be costing soooo much money.

Congrats to her, though. Lindsay Lohan is finally making another movie, after a long string of duds!

The new film is outside the major studio system, and we're sure it's bound to go straight to DVD!

Nu Image/Millennium Films Overnight Productions has finally set a production start date to begin working on their latest project, Labor Pains.

The film, described as a romantic comedy, will feature LezLo as an assistant working in a publishing house.

Lohan's character will then pretend to be pregnant in a final attempt to keep her boss from firing her.

The film is set to begin shooting next week - on June 9th - in Burbank.

Also starring in the film will be fellow D-listers Chris Parnell, Cheryl Hines, Luke Kirby and Connie Britton.

As for Lindsay, she apparently loves the script.

Lindsay's publicist Lindsay says, "It is a very different role for me and I look forward to the challenges it will present, and I love working on comedies."

Producer Rick Schwartz adds, "I didn't know Lindsay before this, but we looked each other in the eye three months ago, and she has done everything I could have asked."

Jail's Not Hurting 'Career'



Rapper T.I. has nabbed lots of work post-jail sentencing!

First there was the MTV reality show he's got coming out.

And now, according to reports, there's a three picture deal with Screen Gems.

The partnership will launch with the crime drama Bone Deep, which will co-star Cameron Diaz's ex, Matt Dillon. Bone Deep is all about a group of bank robbers who pull off a daring highrise heist and are dragged into one last job by a freshly paroled pal.

Wonder if T.I. will play the freshly paroled character?

Jail time will surely give T.I. plenty of 'experience' to pull from!

Past acting credits for T.I. include American Gangster and ATL.

Worth It?

Spice Girls Mel "Scary" B. and Emma "Baby" Bunton have been bitten by the acting bug.

Scary told a reporter at the Glamour magazine Women of the Year awards in London on Wednesday that she's been offered a part in Legally Blonde on Broadway.

So fun!

Mel's a little old to play a college girl, so we're assuming we'll see her as the beauty salon worker Elle befriends.

She also revealed that she's working on a sitcom AND planning to launch her clothing line on Project Runway.

Baby Spice told the media at the London event, "I'm really looking forward to doing some acting – a TV drama, maybe something a bit gritty."

Despite the occasional slip-up, Shia LaBeouf is really a good boy!

According to reports, he the Indiana Jones star lets his nomadic, ex-drug addict dad live with him — in the garage.

We're sure Shia's garage is a lot more comfy than Daddy LaBeouf's regular digs, a teepee in Montana when the weather is nice.

Why won't Shia let daddy in the big house?

"I love him, but we have similar tastes. Living in close proximity, we get into little battles. Over the fridge, over supplies, just everyday average stuff. Toothpaste, clean towels… it becomes a little overbearing, so we keep him in the garage," says Shia.

But, looks like Daddy's totally settled in now.

Showtime for Spielberg and Cody's United States



It looks like Steven Spielberg has found a home for Tara.

Showtime has ordered 12 episodes of The United States of Tara, an original series dreamed up by the Tinseltown titan about a wife and mother who struggles to find stability while suffering from dissociative identity disorder, more commonly referred to as multiple personality disorder.

Juno's Oscar-winning scribe, Diablo Cody, is executive producing the half-hour single-camera comedy with tube vet Alexa Junge, who's also serving as show runner.

Tara stars Toni Collette in the title role, with Sex and the City's John Corbett as her husband, Max. They and their two teenage kids must deal with her numerous and volatile identities that may appear on any given day.

"Showtime is known as the home of several shows featuring flawed main characters, and we welcome Tara—and all her alternate personalities—to the fold," Showtime's entertainment president Bob Greenblatt said in announcing the pickup.

"What a pleasure to watch Diablo Cody and Toni Collette work together, a combination of inspired writing and acting that raises this show from just a curiosity to a compelling examination of a modern family."

Cody wrote the pilot as well as two additional segments, and is expected to pen up to a half-dozen of the season's episodes, which will start filming this summer.

No word yet from the cable network on a premiere date.

Baldwin, Mac Booked for Madagascar Sequel



The pride just got a whole lot bigger.

DreamWorks and Paramount have revealed the lineup of all-star voice talent for Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, the sequel to 2005's hugely popular animated comedy adventure, which grossed north of $532 million in worldwide ticket sales.

Back for the second go-round are original stars Ben Stiller as Alex the lion, Chris Rock as Marty the zebra, David Schwimmer as Melman the giraffe, Jada Pinkett-Smith as Gloria the hippo, Sacha Baron Cohen as King Julien of the lemurs, Cedric the Entertainer as Julien's advisor Maurice and Andy Richter as Mort the chimp.

The Central Park Zoo crew will be joined along the way by some new additions to the menagerie: Bernie Mac as Zuba, Alex's dad and head of the pride; View cohost Sherri Shepherd as Alex's mom; Alec Baldwin as Makunga, a challenger to Zuba (and presumably the heavy of the movie); and Black Eyed Peas' frontman will.i.am as Moto Moto, a watering-hole lothario.

The hip-hopster is also serving as cocomposer with Madagascar mainstay Hans Zimmer. Also back is the writing-directing tandem of Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath.

The follow-up picks up with Alex and pals still stranded on the distant shores of Madagascar. They hatch a plan to repair an old plane only to crash land in the vast plains of neighboring Africa, where they encounter members of their own species for the first time.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa is slated to run wild in theaters Nov. 7.

Ozzy's "Freak Show" Pays Big



Being called a freak may not be such a bad thing after all.

Ozzy Osbourne has accepted undisclosed damages and an apology from Britain's Daily Star over a story alleging he collapsed twice before hosting February's Brit Awards, creating behind-the-scenes chaos for the major U.K. music ceremony.

In the article titled "Ozzy's Freak Show," the tabloid also claimed the 59-year-old rocker was in such a poor state that he had to be transported around the show on an electric buggy and that event organizers held last-minute discussions to determine whether he should be allowed to carry on his emcee duties

Dexter Smitten With Jimmy



Jimmy Smits just nabbed a killer role.

The TV vet has joined the cast of Showtime's conflicted-serial-killer series, Dexter. He has signed on for 10 of the 12 episodes for the upcoming third season, which begins production Monday for a Sept. 28 debut.

Smits will play Miguel Prado, an ambitious DA hailing from one of Miami's most powerful political families. He joins forces with Michael C. Hall's titular character to find another killer whose dastardly doings affect them both.

All in all, a pretty good gig. But the hours might be murder...

Carrie & Chace: A Belching Bond?

Theaters Give Chace on Halloween



While CW fans were getting to know him as lacrosse-playing teen-about-town Nate Archibald on Gossip Girl, Chace Crawford was also busy screaming for his supper.

The Haunting of Molly Hartley, a supernatural thriller starring the 22-year-old heartthrob (who also made magic in the teen-witch chiller The Covenant), was given a Halloween 2008 release date after indie distributor Freestyle Releasing acquired the U.S. rights to the film, the company announced Thursday.

Crawford plays Joseph, the nice guy who befriends new-girl-in-school Molly (Haley Bennett), who, for unknown reasons, is becoming increasingly freaked out by... something.

Crawford is one on a long list of current and former CW/WB/UPN stars, including Chad Michael Murrary, Jessica Biel, Sophia Bush, Barry Watson, Tom Welling, Kristen Bell, Brandy and Emily VanCamp, who have flashed their scary sides to beef up their big-screen credentials.

Nick Bollea Transferred Out of Solitary Confinement



Hulk Hogan's teen son Nick Bollea was moved out of solitary confinement to a cell with three other juveniles, jail officials in Florida said Thursday.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said the move was the "result of routine and ongoing assessments of inmate population and classification," the St. Petersburg Times reports.

The sheriff made no reference to Bollea's legal challenge to being held in solitary, which a judge had rejected.

Bollea, 17, was sentenced last month to eight months in jail after pleading no contest to charges stemming from a car crash that left his best friend, John Graziano, in critical condition.

Yves Saint Laurent Remembered at Funeral in Paris



Thousands gathered in Paris Thursday to bid a last farewell to designer Yves St Laurent, who died Sunday at age 71.

Mourners from fashion, politics and show business including French President Nicolas Sarkozy, his wife former Saint Laurent model Carla Bruni Sarkozy and actress Catherine Deneuve showed up to pay their respects.

Other designers, including Hubert de Givenchy, Karl Lagerfeld, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Christian Lacroix, and Sonia Rykiel, were also there to remember their colleague. Throngs of people in the street followed the funeral and a tribute to the designer himself on a giant television screen.

Christina Aguilera Defends Her Late Nights



Make no mistake, Christina Aguilera loves her baby. But she likes the nightlife, too.

"Once in a while, if I want to go out and have a mommy-daddy night with my husband, I am more than allowed to do that," the singer – who gave birth to son Max Liron in January – told Access Hollywood.

This past weekend, for example, she hit Las Vegas's Pure nightclub at Caesars Palace to help celebrate the launch of an Xtina-inspired jewelry line, the Stephen Webster Silver Collection.

"I spend all day with my son," Aguilera, 27, told the TV show – adding that any criticism of her late-night outings with husband Jordan Bratman is downright "mean spirited."

Lindsay and Samantha's Friendship: 'It's a Trust Thing'

Uh huh ... I had a feeling that the couple were about to show up to some major public event as a couple. You don't just go into any old CVS pharmacy without alerting the world that you are about to publically confirm your new relationship ... everyone knows that.

But, while the couple may have been all touchy-feely and smiley for the cameras inside the Australian in Film Breakthrough Awards, it was another story as the couple left the safe confines of the awards show and ventured out into the night ... and the waiting paparazzi:

Yeah, the couple may not be ready to totally show their lurve for one another on the streets of LA just yet ... but I suspect they might be showing up at Coffee Bean coffee shops, Ralph's grocery stores or SoCal beaches together very soon. Welcome to the fun, Rabbie!

Dink Driving

It's been a hot minute since we've seen Britney Spears around these here parts ... I was just thinking yesterday that it has been ages since Brit Brit got any blog lurve. Now that she's no longer riding the crazy train to wrecksville, she's been mainly staying focused on her work (I believe she is still in talks to collaborate with Bally's Total Fitness), her music (she has been actively working on her next album) and her family ... which brings us to these new photos of Britters enjoying a lovely afternoon with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James (as well as her father and conservator Jamie Spears) playing with their toy cars at her Beverly Hills, CA home:

Truth be told, I really do not miss any of Britney's former crazy antics. Sure, we may have had more to talk about last year when she was publically spiraling down her abyss to destruction but I prefer not having much to talk about if it means that she's staying home and taking care of getting her life in order. Photos like these are way more preferable to the trashy embarrassing pics that were coming out daily last year. Seeing photos of her playing with her sons win every time.

The Birth Of R-Andy M-Adams?

Okay .. so I realize that just seeing two people walking down the street together, sometimes holding hands, isn't bona fide proof that they are dating but I've been hearing the rumors for far too long that the generally perceived Mandy Moore and the, shall we say, colorful Ryan Adams have started dating ... seeing photos of the pair walking the streets of NYC together, sometimes holding hands, appears to lend credence to those rumors:

To be honest, I don't really see these two together as a couple ... but here they are, seeming "a couple". Ryan has dated some hot (and mostly innocent-like) ladies in the past (like Winona Ryder, Beth Orton, Leona Naess, Parker Posey) and Mandy has enjoyed the company of a bad boy or two (Wilmer Valderamma, DJ AM) so maybe this is a match made in heaven. I'd be interested to know if the duo have worked on any music together since they are both musicians (er, well, Ryan is musician enough for the both of them combined). I hear that Ryan is a heartbreaker ... I hope that he's nice to Mandy ... she seems like a sweet girl. Then again, it's the perceived "sweet girls" that you really have to look out for.

Snoop to Beyoncé: 'Make Some Babies'



After a decade of marriage and three children later, rapper Snoop Dogg has a few words of advice for new husband and wife Jay-Z and Beyoncé Knowles.

"I told them to go home and make babies," he told reporters at the Dodge Celebrity Event in Rosamond, Calif. "They should, that's the next step as far as marriage, having kids ... add on to the family, so hopefully that's what they'll do."

When asked if he'd be planning on adding to his already full nest, he shook his head, grinning. "No. I'm good."

Snoop's key to lasting marriage? "Communication, and being able to fight and get back up," he says. "To have misunderstanding and [then] get some understanding."

Paris Hilton (Shock!) Parties – Dashing Pregnancy Rumors

With one swig of pink champagne at dinner Friday, Paris Hilton quickly put an end to any lingering pregnancy rumors that have been heating up the Web.

The heiress imbibed and dined with her "BFFs" while filming her new MTV reality show, Paris Hilton's My New BFF, at Tao Las Vegas.

Still, even surrounded by girls vying for her attention, Hilton had one guy on her mind. Wearing a form-fitting, vintage black dress (with a belt wrapped firmly around her stomach), Hilton told PEOPLE that her boyfriend of nearly four months, Benji Madden, is her "best boyfriend".

Madden, who was on hand wearing black shades, stood back most of the night, along with sister Nicky Hilton and boyfriend David Katzenberg, as his girl took the spotlight.

Following dinner, Hilton and the girls headed to Tao nightclub where the star of the show was greeted with her song "Stars Are Blind." For the next two hours Hilton smoked cigarettes and danced with the seven remaining contestants on the club's catwalk, all while cameras rolled.

And the partying wasn't done after Tao, with the group heading to the exclusive Mirage villas for an afterparty where they were entertained by Las Vegas showman and Paris friend Jeff Beacher.

At the party, Hilton did more to confirm her non-pregnancy by gulping Grey Goose and Patron Silver tequila before she and Madden headed back to their suite at The Venetian.

"She's clearly not pregnant," said a guest at the afterparty.

(On My) Radar

Hot on the heels of the rumored cover artwork for Madonna's new single Give It 2 Me comes this first look at the supposed cover artwork of Britney Spears's new single Radar ... as reported by World of Britney:



This single cover artwork looks less authentic than the Madonna artwork but, again, who knows if any or either of these photos are genuine. It's not a bad pic either way ... I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Lady Spirit

Eva Mendes stars as Sand Saref in Frank Miller's new movie The Spirit which opens in theaters this Xmas ... here are a couple hawt posters featuring Ms. Mendes in the role:



I absolutely love anything with Frank Miller's name on it so I am eagerly awaiting this film. Sin City did wonders for Jessica Alba's career, I'm hoping that The Spirit does the same for Eva Mendes. We need a lot more hawt latina actresses in big roles like this ... Eva is a beauty and I can't wait to see her in the role.

Earth Angel

Ex-American Idol season 5 winner Taylor Hicks made his official Broadway debut in NYC this past Friday night starring in the new production of Grease at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. Hicks plays the Teen Angel in the production (a role made famous on the big screen by Frankie Avalon) ... here are a few pics from his opening night performance:

"American Idol" winner Taylor Hicks makes his Broadway debut in the Tony-nominated revival of Grease at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre June 6. Hicks, who was the Season Five "American Idol" winner, succeeds Stephen Buntrock as Teen Angel in the summer-lovin' musical. The Alabama native is scheduled to stay with the production through Sept. 7. In a recent statement "Idol" winner Hicks said, "I am incredibly excited to be a part of one of my favorite musicals. The Soul Patrol's gonna invade Broadway!"

Now see ... I know that Taylor Hicks isn't all that old (he was born in 1976) but he normally looks pretty old with all that grey hair ... this Grease hairdo doesn't do much to make him look any younger. Nonetheless, I'm sure that Taylor Hicks will do a fine job on Broadway. He is a talented singer, which puts him ahead of the game of some of the other celebs doing stints on Broadway. I find him way more talented than Clay Aiken, so he gets my vote for Idol on Broadway.

Sometimes They Grow Up

I have to say ... it's really remarkable how much things have changed in the world of Hollywood "It" Girldom and celebrity overall. Gone are the days of the wild parties and the crazy antics for ladies like Nicole, Britney and even Paris. I never thought I'd see the day where the "It" Girls would grow up and become responsible mothers. I must admit, tho, that I kinda miss the halcion days when the "It" Girls would do some whacky stunt or whatever, allowing us to laugh along with them. It really seemed to me that the "wackiness" jumped the shark around the time that the wardrobe malfunctions started up (and really spiraled downward once they started getting arrested). Once it became de rigueur for a boob or a naked crotch to be the talk of the day (not to mention the latest mug shot), things stopped being fun and started getting trashy. Who knew that the women were mere months away from really cleaning up their acts and settling down with children or serious relationships? Even Hollywood "It" Girls can grow up and mature, imagine that. While those whacky days of yore were fun, I much prefer seeing the ladies settle down with their families. Now we can look forward to seeing new baby pictures rather than new mug shots.

The Dynamic Duo

Hollywood's favorite BFFs du jour, Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson, have been hitting up all the usual hot spots around SoCal in recent weeks (whippin' up a frenzy wherever they go) and decided to take a little shopping trip together to The Grove in Glendale, CA for some illin' and some chillin'. I'm pretty surprised how much ado everyone has been makin' over nothing when it comes to these two ladies. The pair have been really good friends for a very long time so I don't really get why everyone is all agog that they seem so close lately. To me they seem like just another pair of besties where one is a superstar DJ and the other is a Hollywood "It" Girl ... you know, your regular ol' run-of-the-mill sort of friendship. I'm convinced that the ladies are having a fun time watching everyone fall over themselves to try and "figure out" what is going on between the two of them. I think it's brills and totally fun. I can't wait to see where the friends will show up next ... and how many photogs will be tripping over themselves in their wake.
