Wonder Woman Lynda Carter: 'I'm an Alcoholic'

To children of the '70s, she was a glamorous TV icon with her bullet-proof bracelets and Star-Spangled corset.

But now Wonder Woman Lynda Carter has turned the "Lasso of Truth" on herself, admitting publicly that she's an alcoholic.

"I was so good at hiding it too," the 56-year-old mother-of-two tells TV's The Insider. "Brilliant."

But, she says, she could not keep the secret from her family: Her attorney husband Robert Altman and their two children, Jamie, 20, and Jessica, 17.

"My husband asked me ... 'Can't you just stop this for the children and for me?' "

His plea prompted her to seek treatment at a rehab facility near her home in Washington, D.C. "I needed help – I begged God in heaven to help me figure this out," says Carter, now sober for nearly ten years.

What has the recovery process taught her? The best measure of a human being, she says, is "how we treat the people who love us, and the people that we love."

Rumer Willis vs. the Bloggers

Bruce Willis isn't the only tough guy in the family. His daughter Rumer can take on mean bloggers with the same ferocity her dad disposes of, like, terrorists or whatever.

"Everybody has an opinion, and we live in America so you're allowed to," blog-fodder Willis told E! News, at a press conference for her new film The House Bunny.

So what's her secret weapon against nasties like Perez, who write about what plastic surgery she should have?

Her own self-esteem.

"As long as you are comfortable with who, you know, you really are," she said, "and your friends and the people that are around you know that, that's all that really matters."

Awww. That also just so happens to be the moral of House Bunny, about a former Playmate who gives a geek sorority hot makeovers.

"Hopefully, young girls will watch this and feel confident about themselves and go, 'OK, that girl's not entirely the ideal of what a perfect picture is supposed to be and she feels confident and beautiful, then I can too,' " she said. "If we can have the ability to do that, I'm very excited about that."

Blog about that, haters.

Mandy Moore Post-Breakup Shopping

Mandy Moore shops up a storm at Jeffrey and Scoop and then eats lunch at Pastis in New York’s Meatpacking District on Thursday.

The 24-year-old singer/actress then hailed a cab back home and covered up after being asked questions about her recent breakup with Ryan Adams.

“Mandy is one of those genuinely sweet angelic people you wish to meet your whole life,” Ryan told OK! in a statement. “I am grateful for our friendship and how it allowed us both to grow and learn more.”

“Unfortunately I am allergic to paparazzi and have found the best antidote to that sort of nonsense is staying behind the guitar and typewriter, staying close to my support group of friends and band mates and not engaging in activities that prevent me from taking care of myself or others,” he said.

Nick Cannon on Marriage: 'Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me'

The honeymoon may be over, but Nick Cannon is enjoying the married life even more.

Although his wife Mariah Carey wasn't in Las Vegas with him, the "Wild 'N Out" host said his marriage to the singer is anything but rocky, despite Internet reports to the contrary.

At the opening of Las Vegas's Christian Audigier The Nightclub Friday, Cannon said his marriage is "amazing."

"It's the best thing that ever happened to me," Cannon, who was sporting his wedding band, told PEOPLE.

Arriving just before midnight, Cannon quickly made his way to the club's turntables where he began a two-hour set, spinning hip-hop, techno and rock.

At one point, he put on Shawty Lo's "Dey Know." Bobbing his head to the song, Cannon raised his hand high in the air and shouted the lyrics "Big ups, to all my haters."

Carey and Cannon met on the set of her video "Bye Bye," and after a whirlwind courtship tied the knot in May.

Apparently, They Won’t Be There For You

BOOOOOOOOOOOO! It is my sad duty to Peace the Spork Out the rumors that the cast of Friends will be reuniting for a movie on the big screen. This past Wednesday, new rumors starting going around that the long-awaited, much-anticipated Friends Movie might finally be made in the wake of the huge success enjoyed by the Sex and the City Movie. It was speculated that production on the new Friends Movie might get underway “within the next 18 months”. Today, representatives for both Warner Bros. and a couple of the principal stars themselves are shooting down those rumors, essentially killing all hope for a Friends Movie at all:

A representative for Warner Bros film studio has quashed speculation of a Friends reunion movie … It was rumoured earlier this week that Cox and Aniston were keen to reprise their roles for a movie version of the show, as long as the story was right. They were alleged to have been inspired by the massive box office success of Sex and the City: The Movie, which was turned from a TV series into a big-screen film earlier this year. But the claims have been refuted by executives at Warner Bros, the studio behind Friends. Jayne Trotman, Warner’s director of publicity in the U.K., says, “(There’s) no truth in the story.” And publicists for both Cox and Perry have also stepped in to deny the rumours. Perry’s spokeswoman, Lisa Kasteler, adds, “Nothing is happening in this regard, so the rumour is false.”

Well ain’t this just a big ol’ steaming order of Poop Sandwich? I think it is such a mistake to keep stalling on making this movie. To be honest, I think they might even be too late to make a good enough Friends Movie as it stands … continuing to delay any potential movie is just a bad idea. I’m all about striking while the iron is hot … SaTC really proved that a TV show of such popularity can make a successful transition to the big screen. I realize that fans really have no say in such matters as these but I really wish the executives and the actors we love (loved?) so much would really reconsider. Further delay will only further damn any chances of a successful Friends Movie will ever be made. Again, I say, Boo!

Amy Winehouse Visits Her Local Deli

Amy Winehouse spent another day doing her Amy Winehouse best to keep her record of public craziness totally intact. Yesterday, she paid a visit to a kosher shop in the Golders Green area of London to do pretty much everything but shop for food:

I’m just amazed that this crazy lady is allowed to roam the streets of a civilized city like London when she should prolly be locked up somewhere for her own good. I suppose it has been a few weeks since we last saw the poor girl roaming the streets … bloodied, crying and wailing into the night. That’s some bit of progress, yes? If the worst thing she’s putting in her mouth these days is a pickle, I’d say she’s made a whole lotta progress.

EXCLUSIVE: A-Rod: His Wife's Dad Confirms He Became a Kabbalist

New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez’s father-in-law tells Us that his family loves A-Rod and that the ballplayer has been good to his daughter, Cynthia.

"We love Alex, and we love our daughter, and it is what it is. If they are having marital problems, they're not reinventing the wheel. It happens. I hope they'll work it out," said John Scurtis when reached on Thursday.

The comments are in the wake of Usmagazine.com breaking that Alex, 32, was making late-night visits to Madonna’s New York City apartment. On Wednesday, the New York Daily News and The New York Post reported the couple had split.

"He's been very good to my daughter, and he's been very good to us. I hope they work it out," the 68-year-old Miami resident said.

He declined to confirm the rumor that Cynthia, 34, had flown to Paris to be with Lenny Kravitz. "I don't know where Cynthia is and if I did, I probably wouldn't tell you," he said.

The New York Post reported that Cynthia was spotted outside of Kravitz's Paris home as late as Tuesday. Kravitz has denied a role in A-Rod's marriage drama.

Scurtis did confirm that his son-in-law studies Kabbalah, Madonna’s faith. His interest in the religion was first reported by the New York Post.

"He's gotten involved in Kabbalah, which isn't something we understand. We don't really get that. My family's Greek Orthodox," he said.

A-Rod's Wife: Madonna Broke Us Up

A-Rod's wife Cynthia Rodriguez believes Madonna used kabbalah to brainwash her husband and convince him to leave her, according to a new report in New York's Daily News.

"I feel like Madonna is using mind control over him," Cynthia, 34, told a pal, according to the News. "I don't recognize the man he's become. He was a sweet, beautiful, loving husband and father.

"Today, he's very cold and calculating," she added.

Cynthia - who is "devastated" about splitting with her husband of five years - also "found a letter where Alex told Madonna: 'You are my true soul mate,'" a source close to the couple told the News.

Cynthia has been in Paris to "clear her head" with Lenny Kravitz - on A-Rod's suggestion - since last Tuesday according to published reports. Kravitz, 44, has denied a role in their marriage drama.

The couples split comes on the heels of news that A-Rod had been making late night visits to Madonna's Upper West Side apartment, including as early as the day after Cynthia gave birth to their second daughter, Ella - as first reported by Us Weekly.

"Alex literally left 10 minutes after the baby was born, and then was at Madonna's," a source told Us Thursday. "It's true. It's crazy."

Pals close to Cynthia told the News that A-Rod "claimed their marriage was over" just three weeks after Ella was born.

"That was news to her - she had no clue," the pal added. "She said, 'I stood beside him through all his struggles.'

"Cynthia was so innocent," said the friend. "She thought he just respected [Madonna]...and said, 'I respected her too - her creativity and ability to reinvent herself.

"I never dreamed this 49-year-old woman was anything more than a friend."

Cynthia has been "forced to defend herself and their children," the friend said. "It's a very emotional time for her."

Hancock, A Superhero With Issues

We’ve said it before and we’re not afraid to say it once again: there’s a genuine trend in cinematography that translates comic-book superheroes onto the silver screen. Just peep at the latest movies: “Iron Man”, “The Incredible Hulk”, or (the not so brilliant) “Get Smart.” But what if we leave behind the glamour of these superheroes created especially for the silver screen? What if we dislocate one superhero from his fantastic world and we put him in the quotidian?

In this case, we will have ‘Hancock.” Superhero – check, real world conditions – check, real consequences – check. Actually, the real world is too nasty for a superhero. Who can make all those stunts to save the world without making damages? There’s a holdup, the superhero needs to catch the robbers, who would expect him to complete his job without leaving some damage behind?

Well, that’s the problem with Hancock (played impeccably by Will Smith). He is a superhero in the real world. He saves the day, but instead of thank-you’s, he receives compliments such as ‘asshole.’ And he also receives a lot of lawsuits and he serves from time to time prison terms. Well, that’s the life for a superhero in the real world…he has to pay. Hancock has the fantastic ability to rocket in the sky, to lift cars and stop trains, but he also causes million-worth damages in buildings, cars and train wrecks.

When something’s a mess, then there is need for a PR expert. Well, it’s not necessary to say that twice, as Hancock saves the life of PR exec, Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman from “Juno”) and the man is determined to help Hancock reshape and re-brand his image. And believe us, apart from his costly life-saving, he is a headache-generator. Hancock is a depressive man with alcoholic habits.

The mood of the movie changes when Hancock is invited to have dinner at Ray’s house and meets Mary (a deliciously talented Charlize Theron), Ray’s wife and his son, Aaron (Jae Head). After a suite of odd looks paid by Mary, every moviegoer in the theatre understands that there is something going on there. Under no circumstances will we spoil the surprise, but all we want to highlight is that you will never guess.

“Hancock” is a chilling breeze in the sweating reel-off superhero movies. No one wants to fly in his shoes, given than he is more hated than loved among the people. Moreover, his personality has more than one or two flaws: he is impolite, messy and an alcohol-lover.

“Hancock” receives an A for originality, as we’ve said, it’s unpredictable and Mr. Peter Berg gets an A for the impeccable direction of the movie. Smith is so serious about his character, that he manages to outstrip the first impression that “Hancock” is a slapstick comedy and Theron is even more serious, demonstrating one again than her acting skills go further than her hot looks. The writing team, Vincent Ngo and Vince Gilligan deserve a round of applause, even though there are some far-fetched moments in the movies that defy its previous logic. However, “Hancock” stands the chances to be widely recognized as one of the best comedies / action movies of the summer. And what could be better in the summer than to watch movies with great potential?

ABBA Reunites for Mamma Mia!

In the past two decades the former members of ABBA have rarely been seen together in public, but the '70s quartet reunited Friday for the Swedish premiere of the movie musical Mamma Mia!

For the first time in 22 years Agnetha Fältskog, 58, showed up side by side with Anni-Frid Lyngstad, 62 – to dance with the movie's star Meryl Streep.

The reunion took place at the Rival Hotel in Stockholm, along with the women's ex-husbands and bandmates Björn Ulveaus, 63, and Benny Anderson, 61.

The media-shy Fältskog hit the red carpet hand-in-hand with Lyngstad to surprise Meryl Streep as the actress walked into the Rival.

The three stars then held hands and danced in a circle on the red carpet.

The movie is based off the musical, which features several ABBA hits, including "Dancing Queen" and "Take a Chance."

Inside the Rival, Streep (who was joined by fellow cast members Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Christine Baranski) told the audience, "And remember: Turn off you mobile phones! No! Wait! Actually call all your friends right now and tell them you're watching your favorite movie, and let them hear how much you enjoy it."

She added, "Now let's see what we did last summer!"

James Denton Returning to Desperate Housewives — But Single

If this season’s flash-forward finale of Desperate Housewives left fans in a fog as to whether Susan and Mike were still together, James Denton has both good and bad news.

“Mike and Susan have definitely split up,” Denton tells PEOPLE. But fear not, he says he will definitely be reporting for duty on the set. “I’m not sure exactly in what capacity. [Series creator] Marc Cherry is being a little cagey,” he says. “It’s going to be interesting to see what happens. But I will certainly be on the show. It’s a relief to me, trust me.”

During the show’s summer hiatus, Denton, 45, is enjoying a favorite pastime—baseball. He will be playing in the Taco Bell All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game on Sunday, July 13.

A veteran of the annual event, this year he will be joining the rest of the players at Yankee Stadium. And don’t be surprised if he and the pro baseball players talk about Desperate Housewives in the dugout.

“It’s unbelievable the number of ball players that actually watch the show,” Denton says. “Jeff Kent of the Los Angeles Dodgers came up to me and just volunteered that he never misses the show, watches it all the time.”

Venus Williams Wins Fifth Wimbledon Crown

It was every Williams for themself.

Venus Williams finally got the upper hand over younger sister Serena, defeating her in two sets – 7-5, 6-4, to win her fifth Wimbledon singles crown.

Saturday’s championship battle marked the seventh time the sisters had opposed one another in a Grand Slam final, with Serena, 26, winning the last five of those matches.

After sealing the victory, Venus, 28, hugged her sister at the net and later credited her as a touch competitor. “She played so awesome so it was really a task," said the now seven-time Grand Slam champion of Serena, as reported by the BBC.

As for her win on one of the sport’s toughest – and most prestigious – venues, the lawns of the All England Club, Venus said: “To know every time I come back, I have the chance to make history... I love this place.”

Despite losing, Serena called the day one of celebration for her family. “I've been working really hard and I'm so happy at least one of us was able to win,” she said.

Venus needs one more Wimbledon singles title to match Billie Jean King's record of six, behind only Steffi Graf (seven) and Martina Navratilova (nine).

The two sisters will play later today – this time on the same side of the net – in the women’s doubles final.

Christie Brinkley Hangs with Ex Billy Joel

Christie Brinkley spent the Fourth of July "blowing off some steam" at ex Billy Joel's Sag Harbor, N.Y., house, a source tells PEOPLE.

Brinkley, whose ugly divorce from Peter Cook has been heating up in court, arrived with daughter Alexa Joel, 20, and "seemed good," says a friend of the supermodel's. "She was just blowing off some steam, being with family. It was just a relaxing little get-together. Nothing special. Just what everyone does on the Fourth."

Another onlooker says Brinkley, Alexa, Billy and about a dozen friends "were having a blast," eating barbecue ribs and corn and sipping white wine.

At one point Alexa dropped her first plate of food – "they were all laughing about that," says the source.

As for Brinkley, "she was hugging the kids there, they were all laughing and eating. They seemed really relaxed."

The day before, Brinkley also surrounded herself with family and friends, enjoying a midday lunch with her son Jack, 13, and a girlfriend at Gosman's Dock in Montauk, N.Y.

"Christie looked beautiful in a white floral sundress, but she wasn't exactly upbeat," says a fellow diner. "Maybe just a little tired but she seemed relaxed – kind of just getting away from it all and having a nice lunch."

"She seemed OK, said hi to a few friends," says the source. "She was very pleasant – calm and casual."

Meanwhile, Cook spent the holiday with his 13-year-old son Jack and girlfriend Suzanne Shaw. After picking up Jack from Brinkley's house, the trio went for a ride on Cook's boat, The Sweet Freedom.

"He seemed fine, relaxed," says an onlooker at Island Surf shop in Sag Harbor, where Cook stopped in with Jack to pick up T-shirts and "stuff for camp." Adds the source: "He's always in here with his son. He's a good guy – and a great dad."

"It couldn't have been more perfect," the couple added.

After kissing the bride, Firestone's cousin and niece led the processional in a rendition of "Livin' on a Prayer" by Jon Bon Jovi.

"it was a great moment," a guest tells Us.

"She makes me a better person," Firestone, 32, told Us in June of his wife, a model. "Never before have I been so gushy."

Firestone, the tire heir who co-owns the Curtis Winery, proposed to Bozilovic in 2007 alone on the beach before a party he'd planned for her 30th birthday. He'd even helped design a 2.5-carat diamond ring for the occasion.

"Just being able to be there with all our friends and family," he says, "was the most special moment of my whole life."

Firestone was so certain of relationship success with Bozilovic that he reserved the wedding venue before he'd even popped the question to his girlfriend of two years!

"I was hoping she'd say yes," he told Us. "I was banking on it!"

And even though he's found love again, Firestone admits he was "crushed" after his engagement to Jen Schefft unraveled in 2003.

"I was going above and beyond to make it work," he told Us.

"Everybody assumed it was my fault – that wasn't the case at all.

"Sometimes you get hurt before you actually make it right," he added.

'Hancock' grabs heroic $107.3M over long weekend

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Will Smith's box-office superpowers remain intact. Smith's "Hancock" — the story of a boozing, foul-mouthed superhero who dresses like a street bum — led the Fourth of July weekend with a $66 million debut, according to studio estimates Sunday.

That raised the total for Sony's "Hancock" to $107.3 million since it opened Tuesday night to get a jump on the holiday.

It was a familiar place for Smith, one of Hollywood's most-consistent draws. "Hancock" is his fifth movie to open at No. 1 over the Fourth of July. The others were "Men in Black" and its sequel, "Independence Day" and "Wild Wild West."

"Will Smith, Mom, apple pie and the Fourth of July. It doesn't get any better," said Rory Bruer, head of distribution for Sony. "People just so relate to him and the characters that he plays. They totally embraced it as something different, something fresh."

The previous weekend's top flick, the Disney-Pixar animated tale "WALL-E," slipped to second place with $33.4 million. Its 10-day total is $128.1 million.

Overall business slipped for the first time in a month. The top 12 movies pulled in $158.7 million, down 4 percent from the Fourth of July weekend last year, when "Transformers" opened at No. 1 with $70.5 million, according to box-office tracker Media By Numbers.

Revenues this summer are at $2.22 billion, about 2 percent ahead of Hollywood's record pace in 2007, when summer revenues topped $4 billion for the first time.

"Hancock" co-stars Jason Bateman as a public-relations man who tries to give an image-makeover to Smith's cranky character. Charlize Theron plays Bateman's wife, who has her own reasons for wanting the superhero to stay out of her life.

It was the second-best opening weekend for Smith, following last December's "I Am Legend" at $77.2 million, and was his eighth-straight movie to open at No. 1.

"`Hancock' did not get great reviews, but it doesn't matter. A guy like Will Smith is arguably the most-bankable star in the world," said Paul Dergarabedian, president of Media By Numbers. "He's utterly likable and he's real, and that permeates from the screen to the audience."

Overseas, "Hancock" pulled in an additional $78 million in 50 other countries.

Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Media By Numbers LLC. Final figures will be released Monday.

1. "Hancock," $66 million.

2. "WALL-E," $33.4 million.

3. "Wanted," $20.6 million.

4. "Get Smart," $11.1 million.

5. "Kung Fu Panda," $7.5 million.

6. "The Incredible Hulk," $5 million.

7. "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," $3.9 million.

8. "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl," $3.6 million.

9. "Sex and the City," $2.3 million.

10. "You Don't Mess With the Zohan," $2 million.

Cynthia Rodriguez's Divorce Lawyer: Madonna Was Final Straw

Cynthia Rodriguez will file divorce papers from her estranged husband A-Rod first thing Monday morning in Miami, her lawyer Earle Lilly confirms to Us.

"I'm sure you've heard rumors of the relationship he's had with Madonna - that's the straw that broke the camel's back," Lilly tells Us. "She's been fighting these terrible, demonic problems for two years and they don't go away."

The papers will allege "total emotional abandonment," Lilly explains. "You're not going to see a lot of other relationships named.

"The papers are designed not to be horrible, vitriolic, or create negative feelings, but just to put it out on the table and get this lady through a very troubled period in her life," Lilly adds.

At stake in the split: a pre-nuptial agreement, which is being reviewed by Lilly, the couples' multiple homes and the fortune of a "a baseball player worth close to a billion dollars," he says.

Cynthia, 34, believes that A-Rod's late night visits to Madonna's apartment - first reported by Us Weekly - makes them more than just friends, Lilly says.

"Call it an affair, call it a relationship," Lilly says, "[she's put] up and tolerated his misconduct."

The split, Lilly says, has "been a long time" in the works for A-Rod's wife. The Yankee was was also spotted with a stripper in Toronto, Miami and Dallas in 2007.

"Last year it was published he was with the other woman, and this is the final straw," Lilly tells Us. "She has finally said, 'no mas.' This is what it has come down to.

"Cynthia is a Greek Orthodox lady, brought up in a Greek Orthodox household. She doesn't believe in divorce," Lilly says. "She's devastated, she's hurt, she's a little angry.

"He's a multi-million dollar baseball player, but that doesn't make any difference when there are two little kids at home and no husband," Lilly tells Us.

Lilly says Rodriguez, 32, hasn't seen his daughter Ella - born on April 21 - "more than once over the last several weeks."

(A source confirmed to Us Thursday that A-Rod "literally left 10 minutes after the baby was born, and then was at Madonna's.")

"His activities - despite the fact that he's a very prominent baseball player - don't make him a successful parent or husband," Lilly tells Us.

Cynthia returned to her Miami hometown Saturday afternoon after spending time with rocker pal Lenny Kravitz (who has denied any role in their marriage drama) in Paris.

A-Rod has remained mum on their split, despite reports being released Madonna "brainwashed" him with Kabbalah, a religion the Yankee's father confirmed to Us he's been studying. The New York Post also reported he's "obsessed" with the Material Girl and would "go into a trance" when one of her videos came in at the gym.

Madonna, 49, and Guy Ritchie, 39, went to Kabbalah services in NYC Saturday.

A-Rod and Cynthia have been married since 2002. They are also parents to Natasha, 3.

Check out the new issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now, for exclusive details about Madonna's surprising friendship with A-Rod, how she fell in and out of love with Ritchie, what divorce would mean for her $600 million estate and why a reconciliation isn't out of the question.

Where Was Tommy???

Pamela Anderson and sex tape partner, Tommy Lee, recently rekindled their romance and moved in together again, but the rocker was nowhere to be seen at the tranny hot mess' 48th birthday party LAX in Vegas on Saturday night.

Instead, trickster Criss Angel was celebrating with the blond, and the two looked like they were swapping STDs on the banquettes.

Sounds like fun!

Trouble in Mimidise?

Where has Mimoo been hiding????

The singer has been M.I.A. lately, though her assistant husband was in Vegas this past weekend.

Seem like life with a diva is more piss than bliss!

A Mariah Carey insider claims that Nick Cannon is having a hard time adjusting to life as Mimi's bitch boy.

The source says, "Things are really bad between them. The honeymoon period was over before it began. Nick's been surprised at just how demanding his wife is. He feels like her skivvy and moans she has him waiting on her hand and foot. Of course, they met not long before they decided to get married so there were always going to be things they needed to learn about each other. It appears Nick's learned he doesn't like her very much."

Seriously?

We're pretty certain that Mimi's demanding, diva insanity is pretty apparent the moment you meet her.

We think Nick has learned that money can't buy happiness.

Well, at least until the divorce is final!

Madonna Speaks!

Wow. This is unexpected.

As rumors of a possible divorce from Guy Ritchie and an inappropriate relationship with New York Yankess star player Alex Rodriguez continue to swirl, Madonna has just released a new statement (in her own words) on Sunday.

The Material Mom's publicist, Liz Rosenberg, spoke last week about all the chatter, and now it's M's turn.

Says her Madgesty:

"My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce. I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez. I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study. I have learned over the years not to take accusations and the many false reports about me very seriously. I also appreciate how fiction and fact seem to be perceived as one and the same by people who read both newspapers and the internet."

Chew on that.

As Good As It Gets

On Sunday, Spaniard Rafael Nadal won the Men's Singles title at Wimbledon!

It was an epic battle against rival (and Anna Wintour's "crush") Roger Federer.

After two rain delays and 4 hours and 48 minutes of playing, Raffa secured victory.

The Spanish phenom won the French Open a few weeks ago (also against Federer).

This is the first time since 1980 that someone's won the French Open and Wimbledon title back to back.

What a week for Spanish athletics!

Last Sunday the Euro soccer title…and now Wimbledon.

Ole!

Kanye West to Harper’s Bazaar: You Suck!

Kanye West just published another blog entry to vent to his fans. This time, he’s frustrated with fashion mag Harper’s Bazaar for assuming the painting on his ceiling is a winged version of himself (see left). Here’s what Kanye had to say in his “Harper’s Bazaar… I Don’t Have A Painting Of Myself As An Angel” blog entry:

“To put it short as Kanye-ly possible (don’t mean to speak in third person)… Harper’s Bazaar came to my home, took pics, asked a lot of questions and then assumed the painting in my dining room was of me as an angel. This isn’t true and it bothered me greatly because people think I’m so so so cocky that I would have something like that. I’m sure it was an inside joke to everyone from the magazine in my home that day. People would come over my house after that and say, ‘I heard about this pic of you as an angel!’ I would have appreciated if Harper’s Bazaar would have put in some type of blurb to clear it up. I wanted people to see my home because I spent 2 years gutting it and was proud. I’m just a regular guy with cool stuff in his crib but instead I was made out to be Ben Stiller’s character in the movie Dodgeball with the huge pic of him wrestling a bull in his office. Why didn’t they write that my house had no pics of me, no plaques or awards, just art. I guess it’s bittersweet, you spend half your life trying to become larger than life and the other half trying to just live a real life again.”

“[We’re] not trying to make a statement,” Damon says of the flick. “Particularly with a movie that costs $80 or $90 million. Hopefully this will feel like an accurate portrayal of what things were like for these guys. You can’t do a polemic – you should be blogging if that’s what you want to do.”

It’s been some time since we’ve seen new pictures of the mostly nekkid Hugh Jackman so I figured this pic was close enough (tho, it’s not nearly as hawt as the recent pics of the man frolicking shirtless in the water with his kids). I guess it was too good to be true to expect that we’d continue to get weekly pics of man in various states of undress … ah well, it was nice while it lasted. Hopefully we’ll get some of those pics to gawk at again soon … in the meantime, enjoy Wolverine. Hey, at least it’s something.

Sunday Rose Kidman Urban is already feeling the love from her grandmother, Janelle, and her auntie, Antonia, both of whom traveled from Sydney, Australia, for her arrival.

Christie Brinkley: Cook Used 'Overwhelming' Force with Kids

Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook's divorce proceedings took another nasty turn on Monday as the former supermodel accused her estranged husband of manhandling their children.

"At times he was too strong, too overwhelming with his use of force," she testified as the trial entered its custody phase. She added, that Cook got too rough with the kids "about a dozen times."

Brinkley, 54, and Cook, 49, are fighting over the custody of their two children, Jack, 13, and Sailor, 10. Brinkley told the courtroom that she was concerned with Cook's "use of force" with the children.

After the proceeding ended for the day, Cook's lawyer Norman Sheresky told PEOPLE that Brinkley's assertions are "outrageously untrue and completely belied by all her cards and interviews."

Norman was referring to heartfelt poems and letters that Brinkley admitted sending to her husband, as well as past press interviews where she spoke positively about Cook.

During her second day of testimony in an already hostile divorce trial, Brinkley told a story about how she once saw Cook forcing Jack up the stairs. She followed them, trying to get Cook to stop.

"He'd say, 'oh come on, he's just faking it' if Jack would say 'oh my arm hurts' or something like that," Brinkley said.

Brinkley says she used a time-out approach to discipline and tried to get Cook to do the same, but he wouldn't listen.

"I observed that Peter would follow some of the basic rules but then regress to an angry, demanding demeanor," she testified.

Last week, Brinkley's daughter Alexa, 20, with singer Billy Joel, told the court Cook once shoved her head into a bucket of water and pushed her down stairs. Cook denied the claims.

Angelina Jolie Gets More Family Visits in the Hospital

Angelina Jolie received two special visitors over the weekend in her French hospital room: brother James Haven and son Maddox.

A bodyguard carried Maddox, 6, into the hospital on Friday, July 4 to spend time with his mom, while James – wearing an orange sweatshirt and sunglasses – entered the hospital Saturday through a side entrance and stayed for an hour and a half.

After his visit, Jolie's brother left in the family's Mercedes van. Jolie, who checked into a hospital in the South of France last week, hasn't been without a steady stream of well wishers. Last week, Brad Pitt visited Jolie at the hospital with daughters Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2.

Security has increased at the medical center since Jolie, 33, checked into Fondation Lenval Hospital in Nice.

During a press conference on July 2, her doctor told reporters that the actress, who is expecting twins, was not due for several weeks.
